I'm sure Jenks wasn't throwing 100 MPH after he had that screw inserted into his elbow. And Jenks never had good control in the minors (6.41 walks per 9 innings). So how are the two so different again?

There weren't many expectations for Jenks and look what happened. He stunk with the Angels. There aren't too many lefties who can throw in the high 90's like Tucker (when 100% healthy). Jenks didn't have much control either.

Good question. He was a closer for Charlotte, right? Maybe when he's not in pressure situations, he thinks he can get away with just throwing that 91 MPH straight fastball? It sure would be nice if Tucker turns into a 2002-2004 version of Marte.

I want to see Javier Lopez and Arnie Munoz duke it out for the second lefty spot. And I want to see Rusty Tucker pitching at Charlotte to start the season. I think if he gets his velocity back and works on his location, he could be Jenks Part 2 from the left side.

Hopefully. Owens would be our leadoff man and Sweeney could be a nice #3 hitter if he develops some power.

Grissom has pretty much locked up a roster spot, as I said he would weeks ago. Dusty was already quoted as saying that Grissom doesn't really have to earn his roster spot because he's a veteran. Dusty said that Spring Training is mainly for the "young guys."

Yeah, and he needs to get his velocity back at Charlotte. He pitched on Saturday and was throwing mainly 92 MPH, although he did touch 94 MPH. He threw in the high 90's before his surgery. How cool would it be to have a guy named Rusty Tucker on the team?
