Dustin Nippert was rated the D-Backs 5th best prospect in their system by Baseball America. He was also rated the 67th best prospect in baseball by BA. He's a power pitcher with a good fastball.

http://www.suntimes.com/output/sox/cst-spt-ken05.html- Uribe, 'El Capitan'
If the Sox end up picking up Uribe's $5 million team option for 2008, he will end up costing $12.3 over the next 3 years. Jack Wilson just signed a 3-year extension with the Pirates worth $20 million.- Sox @ Diamondbacks 2:05pm
Just radio.- Prior's debut still on hold

This is what I think the opening day 25-man roster will look like... Buehrle Contreras Garcia Garland Vazquez Cotts Hermanson Jenks McCarthy Politte Second lefty (Right now, Munoz or Lopez would be my guess) Pierzynski Widger Crede Gload Iguchi Konerko Mackowiak Ozuna Thome Uribe Anderson Borchard Dye Podsednik- Prior's debut still on hold
http://chicagosports.chicagotribune.com/sp...ack=1&cset=true LOL, this is getting truly pathetic. I seem to recall quite a few posters here predicting that this would happen. Next up -- the Tribune tries to convince Cubs fans everywhere that the White Sox didn't actually win the World Series last season.- 2006 White Sox Photos
He also homered that day.- Sox vs. Diamondbacks (3/4, 1:05 P.M. CT)
I'd have to agree with RockRaines. Today's game was pretty damn sloppy on the defensive side. Even Hawk, the biggest homer of all, mentioned how bad it was. That said, it's still only the start of ST and not all of these guys who are botching plays in the field will even be on the roster come April 2nd.- Cavs@Bulls
I don't think that anyone has questioned Gordon's scoring ability. Most people here have questioned his ball-handling and defensive abilities.- Ozzie calls out Jenks on his weight

- Dayn Perry picks the Sox
Dye is good against lefties... Jermaine Dye (career stats vs. lefties): .279 AVG | .353 OBP | .468 SLG | .821 OPS But the point remains -- we probably don't have anyone else on the bench who could top Thome's numbers against lefties. Maybe Dayn thinks that Borchard could do better against lefties than Thome?- Dayn Perry picks the Sox
He must not have seen Grieve's pathetic display in right field today.- Dayn Perry picks the Sox
In the article, Perry says that Ozzie should sit Thome against lefties. Jim Thome (career stats vs. lefties): .244 AVG | .343 OBP | .426 SLG | .769 OPS I might drop Thome down in the order against lefties but who on the bench do we have that can put up that line or better against lefties? - Great article on KW
