I think Chad Bradford would be a great replacement for Vizcaino. Bradford owns righties with his nasty delivery. Lefties rope him but they did the same to Vizcaino. He probably wouldn't cost too much and will likely have a better season than Vizcaino. Maybe try Trever Miller as a second lefty.
I honestly think that some team out there will sign Fogg as a fifth starter. I'd rather have Chad Bradford. He owns righties with that sidearm delivery.
I agree with you on that. Byrnes makes insane diving plays only because he has to because he gets horrible jumps. Then ESPN lauds him for being such a stellar defender.
Byrnes would actually make a lot of sense for the Cubs if they platooned him with Jock Jones in right field. Byrnes rakes lefties while Jones sucks against them. Too bad the Cubs are too stupid to do something like this. Instead, they will let Jones flail away at lefties.
I think you need some thicker skin if those things bother you. Do some extra threads in The Hotstove forum really ruin your day? Aren't transaction threads what that forum is for?
Our offense was pretty bad last season. Would you rather hope for stellar pitching performances again or have an improved offense and also hope for stellar pitching performances? What is so hard to understand?
Most of the time, I see Chandler try to tip balls in for putbacks instead of just rebounding the ball and going up hard for the dunk. When you are 7'1", that's what you should be doing.
And I never mentioned anything about Chandler's defense.
I've never seen a guy who's 7'1" be such a pussy and try to lay up the ball instead of dunking it hard. I wish Sweetney was 7'1" and Chandler was 6'8". Chandler isn't worthy of his height because he doesn't even use it. I can't believe we traded Elton Brand for this bum. I can now see why Skiles was using Chandler off the bench last season. He doesn't even deserve to be starting.

Now that the Yankees have signed Johnny Damon, maybe the Mariners will trade Jeremy Reed to the Red Sox and trade Gil Meche for Corey Patterson.
You could tell that Olivo wasn't going to be starting for them the minute they traded Mark Loretta for Doug Mirabelli. I'm not saying that Mirabelli is any good but it was clearly a sign of what they thought about Olivo.
