  1. Haha, that's awesome. Nice job!
  2. Ozzie stated that this is what the lineup will look like if we don't acquire another #2 hitter: Podsednik Uribe Thome Konerko Dye Iguchi will bat either sixth or seventh. I assume Anderson would bat ninth but who knows.
  3. Buehrle Contreras Garcia Garland McCarthy El Duque El Duque will be able to stay healthy since he won't be trying to make 30 starts next season.
  4. He would make so much sense for the Brewers. Washburn wants to go back home to Wisconsin and the Brewers need a good starting pitcher. Too bad the Brewers are so damn cheap.
  5. Looks like the Royals, of all teams, are offering Byrd the most money: http://www.kansascity.com/mld/kansascity/sports/13316520.htm
  6. Missing out on Konerko didn't hurt too much because they still have Casey Kotchman and Kendry Morales. But they could lose both Paul Byrd and Jarrod Washburn and may be replacing one of them with Hector Carrasco? Brutal.
  7. Twins may pounce on Big Hurt http://chicagosports.chicagotribune.com/sp...tesox-headlines
  8. http://chicagosports.chicagotribune.com/sp...-home-headlines Also, the Cardinals have offered Mueller a contract and want him to play second base for them.
  9. I hope this is a joke. Luis Castillo is great and all but he won't turn the Twins from a third place team into a division winner.
  10. "Where would he play?" Besides, Ozuna is a bench player. He's not starter material.
  11. Ozuna can back up SS/3B/corner OF and Thome can back up 1B already. Mueller can play 3B, 2B, and probably 1B. And Mueller is much better defensively at 3B than Feliz. I'd rather have Mueller at 3B full-time than Feliz if Crede were to miss extended time on the DL.
  12. I think he's ours for one more season if we keep him on the 25-man roster. I agree with you on Mueller but maybe the reason the Sox are so interested in him is because Crede is going to miss some time due to his back problems.
  13. We have Borchard off the bench for that. I'd rather have Mueller's OBP.
  14. Just signing Mueller would be the far better option, even if you have to overpay a bit. Feliz will earn $3.625 million next season anyways. You may as well sign Mueller for $3 to $3.5 million then.

  16. Gammons reported that the Luis Castillo trade was done, not a Juan Pierre trade.
  17. It all depends on who the Twins sign to DH. They will get some power there. And when did Graffanino become a guy with a lot of pop in his bat? In 379 AB's last season, Graffanino hit 7 homeruns. In 439 AB's last season, Castillo hit 4 homeruns. It's really not that big of a difference. Give me Castillo's much better OBP over Graffanino's few extra homers, especially if you are comparing them both as #2 hitters.
  18. Castillo is a better player than Graffanino overall, and would still be the better 2-hole hitter. He will put up much higher OBP's over the years than Graffanino will ever be able to dream of, unless he manages to repeat on his career year last season.
  19. Thank you. It's so obvious that I can't believe I even have to debate it.
