Barkley was on the Dan Patrick show and he said that the US needs to run up and down the court more like the Dream Team and not allow the foreign teams to play back in a zone.
I looked it up, in 1977, the Dodgers did have 4 guys with 30 plus homeruns.
Steve Garvey with 33
Reggie Smith with 32
Ron Cey with 30
and the current manager of the Cubbies with 30.
Davey Lopes only had 11 that year.
I thought the Dodgers might have had 4 guys hit 30 homers in a season. I am too lazy to look it up, but it might have been Steve Garvey, Ron Cey, Reggie Smith and maybe Davey Lopes? That was sometime in the late 70's.

It babbles me that so many are picking Garland. He has been our rock in the 2nd half, but the other crappy starting pitching performances are making him look better than he is. This is a pitcher who had an ERA over 6 half way through June and had an ERA over 5 as recently as just 3 weeks ago. However, I hope he continues to be a stud over the final weeks and maybe I will change my mind.
I still consider Kenseth and Martin to be Jeff Burton's true teammates. They always work well together. Matt and Jeff were running 1 and 2 for the 2nd straight year at the Bristol night race. Dang tires or something dropped the #31 back to 9th.
Good stuff!
I like when fans have passion about their team. Down here in Nashville, they are still kissing Bud Adams ass for moving the Oilers from Houston to Nashville as the Titans and they never bad mouth any of them.
