QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Dec 22, 2010 -> 09:58 AM) What does the list entail? Movies you've watched over winter break so far? Is this a ranking of them or just a list? How did you like Caddyshack? That's one of the funniest movies ever in my book. Just the movies I've watched so far during Winter Break. No ranking, just the order I watched them in. And I enjoyed Caddyshack a lot. I love the contrast in Chevy Chase's subtle humor with the outlandish Rodney Dangerfield. And Bill Murray is amazing. Also thinking about going to see True Grit today.

Here's my list, in order, in case anyone gives a crap: Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid (loved it) Dirty Harry The Fighter (fantastic) Top Gun Jonah Hex Caddyshack

QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Dec 20, 2010 -> 07:25 AM) Why Jonah Hex? That movie's supposed to be one of the worst of the year. Just for Megan Fox? Scott Pilgrim's a bit like a tamer version of Kick-Ass...I like both, about equally, although Pilgrim is definitely more creative/imaginative/humorous. You know, outside of the jumpy pacing of the movie, it wasn't THAT bad. It wasn't really that good either though.

QUOTE (IamtheHBOMB @ Dec 21, 2010 -> 09:35 PM) What's your favorite Oldman role? Stansfield in Leon.

Fans...please don't start taking for granted how awesome Derrick Rose is. He makes it look WAY TOO EASY.

Bulls up 35 with 2 to go in the 3rd quarter. And THAT was why I liked the Ronnie Brewer signing. And there it was again. 40!!!!!!

http://www.nfl.com/gamecenter/2010122000/2...kings#tab:watch 19 seconds in, simple 2 step drop, quick throw to Harvin who makes a nice move at the line and then poor tackling ensues. It wasn't even a slant; a pure bubble screen.
-
QUOTE (Y2HH @ Dec 21, 2010 -> 07:56 PM) I do know about football...but it's possible -- just possible -- that it was a COMBINATION of all the the things you mentioned, including the pass from Favre to Harvin. Including the bad tackling, including the out of place defenders, including the blocking, and including Harvin. All I'm arguing is this: WHAT NFL quarterback CANNOT make that throw?
-
QUOTE (Y2HH @ Dec 21, 2010 -> 07:47 PM) Exactly the sort of "Da Bers" s*** I'm talking about. You want your team praised, but never praise anyone else, unless they aren't playing the Bears...then MAYBE, but even then, probably not. I bet if Cutler has a bad week next week, you'll be on here crying about how crappy he is, how him, Lovie and the rest of the coaching staff need to be fired, and the Bears need to rebuild. This is the sort of flip flop crap I see from Bears fans every week depending on if they win or lose. If this was Cutler, or any other Bear, it would be, "Such beautiful blocking, beautiful misdirection on the screen, a perfect pass, and beautiful finish." When Favre does it, it's mediocre crap and anyone could have done it. So I repeat... That screen was perfect, and it resulted in a TD. That is all. Yes, because of PERCY HARVIN. And if you knew anything about the sport of football, you'd probably also attribute the score to the Bears' inability to tackle anyone on that entire first drive. And what the hell am I flip flopping about? My post had NOTHING to do with Lovie, Cutler, or the Bears at all really. It was a freaking screen play. And if you don't like any of the Bears' fans opinions on a Chicago message board, then feel free to not post anymore. No one is forcing you to argue anything here. Any realistic Bears fan knows a LOT of things about this team. 1.) Cutler is insanely talented and very athletic, but he's inconsistent and doesn't have great mechanics. FACT. 2.) Lovie Smith is a good head coach, but he struggles in a lot of aspects of the game. Some love him, some hate him. But like ANY coach in ANY sport, when you're winning, you can do no wrong. When you're losing, it's on them. 3.) The Bears are probably NOT legitimate Super Bowl contenders. Poor tackling, a horrible offensive line, and the inconsistency of Cutler will do that.

QUOTE (Y2HH @ Dec 21, 2010 -> 07:39 PM) What are you so confused about? The only play in which he was in the game that directly resulted in points for Minnesota had VERY little to do with Brett Favre. I'm pretty sure anyone on an NFL roster could make that pass and then watch Percy Harvin run in for the score. He had 1 interception. Another pulled back by a penalty and he fumbled on the play in which his night ended but they blew the whistle quickly. He didn't help Minnesota in the slightest. In the conditions in which the game was played, Joe Webb would have done far more against the Bears than Favre could have. I'm note sure what Brett Favre people have been watching this season, but I see the guy who has 19 picks and 11 TD's with a 69.9 passer rating.

QUOTE (Controlled Chaos @ Dec 21, 2010 -> 04:13 PM) Um, did you miss the first drive of the game? No, I did not miss it. I saw him throw a screen to Percy Harvin and say "do the rest, young man."

QUOTE (Y2HH @ Dec 21, 2010 -> 03:53 PM) My posts weren't necessarily targeting anyone in specific, I was merely stating my opinion on what I've seen from many Bears fans, not only over the years, but yesterday, too. I replied to the person who thought I targeted them and apologized because it wasn't mean to be that, however... Then I responded to one person here, in specific, after this, so yes, someone here did just that. That was also after the injury, again. The guy's a drama queen doucher who wants nothing more than the spotlight on himself. Sure, he loves to play football, but people say it like it's a burden on the rest of the NFL players. They're unwillingly getting paid millions to play football. Give me a f***ing break. Brett Favre is the unhuman piece of s*** for bringing all this attention on himself. I hope he plays another 10 years so I can watch him get pummeled every weekend and watch his once-great legacy get completely tarnished. He's not a "warrior" for coming back and playing through an injury. He's an idiot. And a selfish one at that. That team is going NOWHERE and having him on the field DID NOT help the team.

QUOTE (DBAHO @ Dec 21, 2010 -> 02:35 PM) Is it? Rip's contract is pretty bad to say the least, and he doesn't exactly have great 3PT range, which a SG probably needs in Chicago's style of offense I'd say. As much of a headcase he may be, J.R Smith could be a better option, and he's got an expiring contract to boot. I don't think you could be more wrong here. Rip is a good 3 PT shooter and is absolutely lethal coming off screens. Smith is a bulk shooter who is inconsistent. Rip fits WAY better on this team.

QUOTE (kjshoe04 @ Dec 21, 2010 -> 04:01 AM) This is really becoming another golden age of the NBA. There is more talent in the league right now then there has been in a real long time. I highly disagree.

Nite and Y2HH have ruined this thread for me. Thanks guys.

QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Dec 21, 2010 -> 02:04 AM) It was snowing pretty well for a while, and I can't see a thing right now. Ditto, and I'm right downtown.

Corey Wootton might be one of my favorite Bears ever, btw. And for those who wrote him off, it was a pleasure to watch him make McKinnie look like a mannequin and slam Favre. fathom, you still think the Bears can't build on Wootton?

Trent Dilfer and Chris Berman are Brett Favre lovers. Disgusting.

QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Dec 20, 2010 -> 06:44 PM) Bootlegger w/ cheese ftw. Yes. Provolone and extra bacon. QUOTE (MurcieOne @ Dec 20, 2010 -> 07:13 PM) What an incredible douche. His narcissism knows no bounds. God I hope Peppers labels him tonight. That. QUOTE (fathom @ Dec 20, 2010 -> 07:19 PM) How great would it be to see Favre get injured due to the field conditions? Fantasmic.

QUOTE (fathom @ Dec 20, 2010 -> 06:53 PM) I can guarantee you that the Cubs will find a way to miss Greinke every series next year and will face Bush 6 times. Heck, wouldn't shock me to see Suppan find a way back into the majors just to make sure he faces the Cubs. And?

Mine is 2 weeks after everyone else.

Ya, it'll probably be bad but I love Josh Brolin and I'm a fan of movies in that time frame.

Going to see The Fighter. Very excited. Two of my fav actors.

QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ Dec 19, 2010 -> 02:03 AM) Honestly I almost kind of prefer the short urinal. I like being able to pee more downward than I can with the other ones, less chance of it getting on me. Also, I hate when you run into a place where they were mounted too high on the wall and you have to almost tip toe to get up there and make sure no clothing or anything hits the urinal. I'm 5'9" so no I'm not short by any means. Who the f*** are the urinals for, 7 footers? Umm, where the hell are these urinals??? Everyone I've encountered is too damn low. And ya, 5'9 is short. At least to me it is.
