QUOTE (Tex @ Dec 27, 2010 -> 05:03 PM) South Padre Island, food, music, and fun at PadreRitaVille. Sweet! I'm going there for Spring Break this year.

QUOTE (nitetrain8601 @ Dec 27, 2010 -> 05:12 PM) Agreed. He seems to have calmed down in Memphis. He's also as productive if not more. Too bad, there's no structure in Memphis. They don't have bad guys, they just have no direction. Tons of talent though. It's my opinion. If Memphis had drafted Rose and Chicago had drafted Mayo, I'd think both be in different positions right now. No doubt though, Rose has had arguably a HOF worthy start to his career. OJ has not. We gotta see what happens. Hopefully OJ can go to another team. I just think the reasons you cited in your argument are hilarious, that is all.

The Jets might be the most overrated team in NFL history. ESPN declared them Super Bowl favorites for adding half of the 2002 Pro Bowl roster. It's f***ing ridiculous. The Bears HORRID offensive line demolished the Jets. Revis is legit though. And if I'm the Bears, I'd drool at the chance to add Marshall, Jackson or Ochocinco this offseason.

QUOTE (nitetrain8601 @ Dec 27, 2010 -> 04:57 PM) Yes. But at the same time, everyone knows Memphis must trade him. They're benching him and killing his value. Even when he's the only option available, they let him get hot, then bench him immediately almost to make sure nobody sees how good he is or can be. It's weird. It's happened about 3 times this year alone. And to be fair, I'd still take Mayo over Rose back then only because I believe Mayo's game will translate better as they get older. Rose on the other hand is already having health problems. It's not good when you have tendinitis in your knees and have lost 3 inches off your vertical within 3 years.

QUOTE (G&T @ Dec 27, 2010 -> 01:29 PM) Beer haul mostly gifted from my father-in-law and brother: 3 Floyds: dreadnaught, broodoo, black sun, alpha king, pride and joy, wolf panzer (all were gifts) Bells: oarsmen ale, winter white Founders: old curmudgeon, dirty bastard, red rye p.a., centennial IPA (all were gifts) Dark horse: too cream stout 2 brothers: prairie path golden ale, domain dupage French country ale Trader Joes vintage 2010 brewed by unibroue I also have a Sam Adams Infinium. that's a lot of IPAs for me to handle. I'm gonna have to give some of it away. Oh, does anyone have any experiece aging IPA's? I have aged barleywines, but that has more malt character when fresh. I struggle to drink really high hop beers so I am wondering if a couple months of age will help me out. Or I will suck it up and drink it with the greasiest burger I can make. Founders has spectacular beer. I go to their brewery often.

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Dec 26, 2010 -> 09:32 PM) I don't think there's much egg nor much nog in that. It was delicious, which is the scary part. It f***s you up.

Rose 2 AST shy of a triple double.

QUOTE (Heads22 @ Dec 26, 2010 -> 06:57 PM) Texans about to be Tebowned. Don't ever, EVER use that term again. Good Lord.

QUOTE (chw42 @ Dec 26, 2010 -> 06:23 PM) It's nice to have two 20 PER players on the same team. When Joakim is there, we almost have 3. 13 and 7 for Boozer in 8 minutes of play.
-
QUOTE (chw42 @ Dec 26, 2010 -> 06:27 PM) Eagles probably won't lose. They probably won't lose next week either. You're right, but I'm saying they don't have to lose this week AND next week.
-
QUOTE (chw42 @ Dec 26, 2010 -> 06:22 PM) Bears will probably need to win next week to get that bye. I don't see Philly losing to the Vikings and Dallas. If the Giants and Eagles both lose this week, the Bears get the bye.

Carlos Boozer is dominating the Pistons right now.

Today, I drank egg nog. 192 proof Polish egg nog. Holy s***. After further research, it is apparently distilled ethanol. 96% alcohol by volume. I feel like a f***ing trooper.

QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Dec 19, 2010 -> 11:56 AM) Watched Book of Eli last night. I'd give it a B minus. Pretty entertaining film and well done for the most part. QUOTE (iamshack @ Dec 19, 2010 -> 12:02 PM) I thought the ending was kind of bs, but Denzel is great in everything he does. QUOTE (CrimsonWeltall @ Dec 19, 2010 -> 12:24 PM) The ending ruined the whole movie for me. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Dec 19, 2010 -> 08:26 PM) As far as THE BOOK OF ELI goes, I have seen, I think, probably 90-95% of Denzel Washington's movies since his career began...one of the best actors of his generation, since he was on a tv show called St. Elsewhere. Owen Gleiberman from EW.com had this as the worst movie of the year, and it actually kept my interest for most of the time. I already knew the "twist" going in as well (not unlike 127 Hours, if you can even call it a twist)...it was very similar in feeling to THE ROAD, both of them were watchable but not anything I would care to see again for the rest of my life. Watched Book of Eli today, and I actually loved the ending. Denzel, Mila Kunis, and Gary Oldman made it a must watch for me in the first place. The movie was entertaining, and enough to hold my interest, but it really didn't leave a lasting impression. It did make me think, which works for me.

I also enjoyed Tropic Thunder. Wasn't great, but it did the job. I loved Les Grossman.

What a dumb, stupid, horrible turnover on that inbound pass. -
QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Dec 22, 2010 -> 10:16 PM) That pick has to be lottery-protected right? Bulls receive the Bobcats' 2012 first-round pick (top 14 protected in 2012, top 12 protected in 2013, top 10 protected in 2014, top 8 protected in 2015, unprotected in 2016) (Tyrus Thomas trade 02-18-10) We get the Jazz and Suns 2nd rounders in 2011 though.

Michigan State lost again. -
QUOTE (Brian @ Dec 22, 2010 -> 03:52 PM) True Grit was great. The girl should seriously get nominated. She carries the first 30 mins. Agreed. The movie was great. So simple, yet so perfectly executed. And a lot funnier than you'd expect. With 127 Hours, The Fighter and True Grit, I'm 3-3 in my last theater visits.

QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Dec 22, 2010 -> 11:06 AM) I immediately think of that NBA Finals victory over the Utah Jazz. 96-54 (42 point victory). f***in' A that was hilarious. Absolutely. When I think of an NBA ass whooping, I think of that game.
