I'll throw this in too: does anyone know where the hell I can get some Goose Island Bourbon Country Stout? I want to get some for my roommate's birthday but I can't find it anywhere.
-
Also, the Jewel I went to had Rogue Dead Guy Ale and Shiner Bock. Gonna have to try those as well.

QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ Dec 28, 2010 -> 07:32 PM) This is one I'm very interested to try. Let me know what you think, as someone who hasn't had it before... Very good wheat beer. Nothing overly special, but very delicious. You get that citrus flavor but with a nice bitter aftertaste that isn't too overwhelming. Hoppier than a normal wheat beer. Reminds me of a stronger Goose Island 312. But seriously, the smell of this beer out of the bottle is intoxicating.

Just went and bought a 6er of Gumballhead. Can't wait to crack one open tonight.

This thread is already awesome. I'm adding a lot of these beers on to my list that I need to try. And put me down as one of those who isn't a big Cherry Wheat fan.

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Dec 28, 2010 -> 12:38 PM) Scott Pilgrim was a great movie. I don't know that I have ever seen anything quite like it. Netflix is shipping that to me tomorrow. I'm excited to see it.

QUOTE (knightni @ Dec 28, 2010 -> 03:35 AM) You haven't seen anything yet, Slav. I'm not a beer drinker and there are a couple more questionable choices coming up. I swear, if Bud Light Lime makes the list, something bad will happen to Tim Tebow.
-
Awesome stuff Jeremy. One thing though, would it be possible (if it is, no problem) to post which poster had the highest rating of each beer like you've done with lists in the past? And seriously...Red Stripe?

QUOTE (kapkomet @ Dec 27, 2010 -> 08:55 PM) When's your break? 2nd week of March. We'll be there the 5th through 12th, I believe.

QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Dec 28, 2010 -> 01:13 AM) I don't think so. I've been to Utah and I almost died from boredom. This was like in 1999. And there's like no black folks. The only black people I can recall were Karl Malone, who's not really black, and Byron Russell . Was Bryon Russell absent?

This just MOMENTS ago on ESPN, and this is an exact quote: "I am all over the Packers. Aaron Rodgers running the show, I think they're just a better team than the Chicago Bears and more to play for." - Trent Dilfer

In other news, Hossa and Stalberg are back and the Hawks have won 4 in a row.

My goodness, there is a CLUSTERf*** of playoff scenarios next week in the NFC. Bears vs Packers Giants vs Redskins Falcons vs Panthers Bucs vs Saints I couldn't care less about the NFC West.

QUOTE (zenryan @ Dec 27, 2010 -> 11:55 PM) I cant stand Tirico. The guy makes so many mistakes its not even funny. He's pretty good. Jaws and Gruden bring down the overall quality a TON. There's no way ESPN can trot out this trio again next year.
-
OMG, Gruden and Jaworski have managed to slurp Brees EVEN MORE after his stupid pick-six. This is unbearable. Matty Ice has been said a billion times, and they've used every positive adjective known to mankind in describing Brees.

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Dec 27, 2010 -> 10:10 PM) I still dunno. We both clearly agree OL is priority 1. After that...if I ask what move would make the biggest positive difference for the Bears...would getting a backup LB do it? Or an average D-Lineman? Or an average DB player? If I had to weight Vincent Jackson, by name, against unnamed possibly available player at any position other than OL, I don't know that there's anyone else obviously out there who would provide the Bears such a positive boost as Jackson. If you could cite me the identity of this year's version of Julius Peppers who happens to play at another position of need for the Bears, I might be more receptive. It really hurts the argument that I can hold up the actual ID of the top WR on the market and I can't compare it to the ID of a NT or a CB. Logan Mankins, Richard Seymour, Champ Bailey, Matt Light, Haloti Ngata would all greatly improve the Bears in one way or another.

Watching a game I have little rooting interest for other than for fantasy football purposes, the MNF guys really are brutal.

QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Dec 27, 2010 -> 08:17 PM) MW2 was absolutely terrible. Black Ops fixes everything wrong with MW's multiplayer, but it is still not MW1. Campaign is decent. Story is a little out there, even for Call of Duty standards. COD4> Black Ops> COD2> MW2=WAW>COD3 To each his own, I guess.
-
Black Ops is good, but not great. MW2 was better, me thinks. Still a helluva fun time.

QUOTE (T R U @ Dec 27, 2010 -> 07:42 PM) uh Miami isn't trading Marshall And there is no chance the Bears beat the Dolphins in week 10. Oh wait.

QUOTE (DBAHO @ Dec 27, 2010 -> 05:40 PM) The issue I see with Mayo is that he's not really a 2. He's more of a 1 than a 2 but he's that classic sort of combo guard. And he also needs the ball in his hands a lot to be effective. That would be an issue playing alongside Rose. OJ Mayo is as 2 as a 2 can get. His problem is that he wants to handle the ball too much, which doesn't make him a one. It just makes him a selfish player.

QUOTE (nitetrain8601 @ Dec 27, 2010 -> 05:19 PM) I think as others have stated, the O-Line needs to be addressed first. Almost a complete overhaul. Absolutely agreed, 10000%. If I'm the Bears, I'd use 1/2 my picks on the o-line, grab a LB, a CB, and a DT.
-
QUOTE (nitetrain8601 @ Dec 27, 2010 -> 05:18 PM) I suppose. But every year since Mayo's rookie year, his usage % has gone down while his PER goes down. Two stats I think which are linked, especially for guys who should be high usage players. Guys like Dwayne Wade, Derrick Rose, Paul Pierce, Kobe Bryant, Kevin Durant, etc. Again, I have no problem admitting OJ has shown less thus far than Rose. A lot less. But you also have to understand their situations and how they're much much different. OJ may very well be overrated from his hype in high school. Rose is certainly a bigger star than anyone could've imagined. I'm glad Rose is on my favorite team. What would you like me to say? I'm just wondering where you're getting the 3 inch vertical loss from? And if I'm understanding you correctly, you think Rose's lack of regard for attacking the basket is going to cost him in the long run where as Mayo's playing style allows for him to be much more durable in the future? I'll agree with you there, but that's something you deal with when it comes along. Rose's conditioning is impeccable, I think everyone will agree with that. But he's also one of the more physical PG's ever seen. Look at how long guys like Gary Payton and Derek Fisher have lasted though.
