  1. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jan 2, 2011 -> 06:05 PM) When does GB start gambling on 4-down-series here? Especially if the other option is punting in hester's direction. In a 3-0 game, not any time soon.
  2. QUOTE (iamshack @ Jan 2, 2011 -> 05:52 PM) I'm sure plenty players like her booty too. I wonder if she has ever succumbed. Most definitely. PEANUT TILLMAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  4. QUOTE (iamshack @ Jan 2, 2011 -> 05:26 PM) The Giants have Smith and Manningham out for the season, don't they? And Hakeem Nicks is hurt.
  5. What a horrible f***ing roughing the passer call. Unf***ingbelievable.
  6. QUOTE (iamshack @ Jan 2, 2011 -> 04:56 PM) Oh whatever, you know what I meant, you goof. Two big guys that could pummel him. Hawk 6-1, 247 Cutler 6'3, 233 Just sayin'. But BJ Raji is one monster of a human.
  7. QUOTE (Heads22 @ Jan 2, 2011 -> 04:15 PM) You will be Tebowned. Probably. I should still beat him with fantasy, but it sucks that the Packers will probably win with little resistance.
  8. I have many reasons to root for the Bears today: 1. I'm a Bears fan. 2. I hate the Packers. 3. I don't want to the Packers in the playoffs. 4. I hate the Packers. 5. My best friend is a Packers fan. 6. I'm playing my best friend Packers fan in the fantasy football championship game. 7. I hate the Packers. 8. My best friend Packers fan has the Packers D/ST going. 9. If the Packers lose, miss the playoffs, AND I beat him in fantasy football to win the title, it'd be a beautiful day.
  9. "It's official. Bucs win. Falcons win. Bears are No. 2 seed. #NYG need a win and a Packers loss to get in the playoffs. No other scenarios."
  10. Josh Freeman is an underrated QB and REALLY fun to watch. 27 TD, 6 INT this year.
  11. Anyone got any suggestions for bars to go to around the Hotel Indigo on Dearborn???
  12. QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Jan 1, 2011 -> 02:17 PM) Party on Wayne Party on Garth
  13. Try every single one of the beers on the SoxTalk list that I haven't already; honorable mentions included.
  14. Hennessy VS for New Year's Eve. Always hits the spot.

    Happy New Year

I spent New Year's Eve with my grandparents. Wouldn't have it any other way. Yeah, I'd love to go out and get hammered and have fun, but they won't be around forever.
  16. QUOTE (knightni @ Dec 31, 2010 -> 07:56 PM) I've gone from the bottom of the first page to #7 this year but, who's counting? Wow, I guess I've been slacking. I'm last on page 1.
  17. QUOTE (pittshoganerkoff @ Dec 31, 2010 -> 07:20 PM) I see a lot of my list on the honorable mention list, including some of my top choices. Founders Breakfast Stout is a beer that blew me away. The 8.3% ABV made me a bit nervous, as sometimes the alcohol overpowers the taste of the beer. But this beer is so smooth and easy to drink that it could quickly become dangerous. Imagine walking into an upscale coffee shop and the barista is grinding coffee beans and whipping up a mocha. That's what this beer smells like. And the taste is top notch. Smooth as a glass of milk, and starts sweet like an iced mocha. Finishes appropriately bitter like a shot of espresso. There's just a slight alcohol warming, too. The weighted average on Rate Beer is 4.15/5 based on over 1500 reviews, which is about as high as you'll see. If you like stouts or even dark beers for that matter, find this beer and drink it. Ive had it on a few occasions, but not in a few months. That beer is very delicious but also quite heavy. And you're right, the smell of it is incredible. I live about 15 minutes from the Founders brewery. It's a treat when they have 2 dollar pints of all their home brews. So much to try.
  18. QUOTE (maggsmaggs @ Dec 31, 2010 -> 05:25 PM) It was the Bulls fault for hiring a coach with ZERO coaching experience at any level. VDN did about as good as any coach would have done with the Bulls roster and injuries the past two years. There is no doubt Thibs is lights years better than Vinny in offensive and defensive strategy, but he has also been coaching about 30 years -- 30 years longer than VDN. I am one of the few Bulls fans that appreciate what VDN did; he let Derrick play immediately and that clearly has paid off. He helped improve Noah to where he now is an All-Star-caliber player -- something nobody would have thought three years ago. I agree 100%. I was critical of VDN, but I also understand that he did a lot more for this team than people realize. In retrospect, it was ridiculously stupid and extremely risky to bring in such an inexperienced coach to develop the future of your team in Rose and Noah, but he did do a good job in that. Strategically, he was a horrible coach, but that was to be expected with no experience.
  19. This turned out really, really well. First and foremost, GREAT JOB to knight and everyone else who helped this out. The wait was most certainly worth it. I am quite happy to not see Miller and Bud on the list, especially Bud Light Lime. Corono and Red Stripe are the only 2 I was sad to see. On to the top 5. I like Sunset Wheat a lot, but I just can't have more than a couple. It's just TOO fruity for me. Crack open a bottle and I DARE you to tell me that it isn't Fruity Pebbles. 312 is a fantastic beer. This list, however, has opened me up to other alternative. I'll say now that I like Gumballhead over 312. I was also happy to see Newcastle up there. That beer has REALLY grown on me the last few months. Love it. Guinness, I like it, don't love it. Fat Tire at #1 doesn't surprise me one bit. I know it is EXTREMELY popular around Chicago but I don't think I've ever seen it in any bars or liquor stores in Grand Rapids when I'm at school. I'll definitely have to go pick up a 6-pack of it. This list has definitely made me want to seek out some beer I haven't tried. I already went out and got some Three Floyd's and will be going to the Brewery soon. My "to drink" list: 1. Fat Tire 2. Hoegaarden 3. Allagash White 4. Pilsner Urquell 5. Smithwicks And really, any other beer on this list I haven't tried yet. Also, whoever said Spaten Oktoberfest: hell to the yes.
  20. SoxTalk must really love Sam Adams. I'm a big Octoberfest fan, and I love the Boston Lager. Haven't tried the Winter Lager though. Hoegaarden is one I've wanted to try but I can't find it many places. And Blue Moon is amazing. I can drink that beer at any time of day, with any meal, in any season. I just love it. I almost always have a 6 pack or more of it in mmy fridge.
  21. I'm not sure how I feel about the commercial where the girl with down syndrome wins homecoming queen.

QUOTE (Felix @ Dec 31, 2010 -> 01:28 AM) And if you didn't enjoy Scott Pilgrim, then I'm incredibly sorry for you and you obviously missed the point. It's a fun movie, and damn near impossible not to enjoy. Same goes for Kick-Ass, for that matter. I got the movie completely, doesn't mean I had to like it. I just couldn't stand how all over the place it was. QUOTE (Kalapse @ Dec 31, 2010 -> 02:04 AM) Spoilers ahoy (not that it matters): You know what it is? They just don't like fun. There, I said it. Anyone who doesn't enjoy Scott Pilgrim just straight up HATES fun and I find that sad. Why would you hate fun? Fun is awesome and Scott Pilgrim = fun. Oh Chris Evans did a grind on a rail for a full minute the burst into coins and that vegan guy had a plate of chicken parm. and lost his vegan powers because of it and then burst into coins, Scott Pilgrim earned the power of love and self respect then kicked the s*** out of Jason Schwartzman with the help of that cute Asian chick by the name of Knives. This isn't fun? It's the f***ing definition of the word fun god dammit. I love how the word "hype" can be used to in conjunction with Scott Pilgrim vs The World: the movie made thirty one million at the box office, NO ONE saw it in theaters, it bombed. Congrats to those who didn't like the movie, not only do you hate fun but you're falling into the rank and file, I'm sure you loved Little Fockers which made as much in its opening weekend as Scott Pilgrim did TOTAL in the US despite being a steaming pile of s***. It's amazing that an abomination like Transformers 2 can make $100M in its opening weekend and all 3 of Edgar Wrights' awesome movies made a grand total of $66M in the United States. Unbelievable. I'm pretty offended by both of these posts. First of all, you couldn't pay me to go see Little Fockers. 2nd, I loved Hot fuzz, didn't see Shaun of the Dead. I enjoyed a lot of things about Scott Pilgrim vs the World, and I certainly got it, I just didn't like it.

Wow, I really tried to like Scott Pilgrim but I just couldn't. It was like watching ADHD happen. And it just pissed me off. I liked the whole video game thing, but I couldn't handle everything just bouncing around. Just too much for me.
