WHOA VICIEDO
-
Atta boy boy Alexei! "Lets go! Get this piece of s***!"
-
I'll take 2 runs in 6 innings from Liriano every single time. Gotta muster more than one f***ing run off Blackburn.
-
QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Jul 31, 2012 -> 07:08 PM) I would not like that trade for the Sox at all. I would if it led to the second trade.
-
This crossed my mind last night as I heard that Travis Snider was pulled from the Blue Jays game: Floyd for Snider Viciedo/Quintana/Jones/Mitchell for King Felix Felix/Sale/Peavy/Liriano/Humber for the rest of the season.

I've come to the conclusion that full time jobs are mythical and do not exist.

Doc Emrick calling Serbia's water polo match made my day.

Wow. The Marlins sure are good at firesales.

$160.9 million for TDKR this weekend. Highest non-3D opening weekend ever.

QUOTE (flavum @ Jul 23, 2012 -> 10:41 PM) Let's put it this way---if the right deal comes along and a team wants Beckham, I don't think the Sox would hesitate to trade him. The question is, which 2B's out there are available? I'd love Aaron Hill the rest of the season, but his contract is kinda hefty. This is all entirely speculative.

The Stone Cold Stunner is the best finisher ever. Disappointed.

QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Jul 23, 2012 -> 10:25 PM) You know what, I have no idea where you are going with this. It wasnt filmed in Chicago, thats why it looked different. Yes, I know this.

QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Jul 23, 2012 -> 10:18 PM) I only brought that stuff up because Steve said it was the best movie ever and gave it an A+. But Steve hasn't said anything about this movie in a number of pages and you have multiple posts in response to no one (or to people other than Steve) talking about the disparity in Gotham between movies and how bridges aren't the same and blah blah blah. I don't get it.
-
QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Jul 23, 2012 -> 09:51 PM) Yes Im ridiculous cause I gave the film a B, or 3 stars. Its not the best film ever, sorry. I never said it was the best film ever. You nitpicking about the bridges is ridiculous. QUOTE (GoodAsGould @ Jul 23, 2012 -> 09:57 PM) The ridiculous part is nitpicking about the cities which I didn't even notice, giving it a B grade is perfectly understandable. This. QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Jul 23, 2012 -> 10:11 PM) Oh the only reason I was nitpicking is cause some people were saying this was the best movie ever, and I was noting some reasons why it wasnt. Just as an action comic movie those things dont matter. I just suspend reality when I watch. Obviously, that's not the case.

Alexei got ups.

QUOTE (MuckFinnesota @ Jul 23, 2012 -> 09:40 PM) What is your concern? Sounded like you got some good work experience and have some good options out there. Extremely competitive industry, and I haven't been hearing back from any of the plethora of places I've applied to.

QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Jul 23, 2012 -> 09:42 PM) I dont doubt it, if it was legitimate plot line that would be fine. But when its simply that he didnt want to spend the money to keep the continuity on a film thats going to make hundreds of millions, its hard to reconcile. I just found it silly sometimes when it switched from Pitt to NY, as if I couldnt tell the difference between bridges. You are ridiculous. Seriously.

QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 23, 2012 -> 09:34 PM) The reports have always been that he over-analyzes everything involving his swing, approach, results, etc. He puts too much pressure on himself, if anything. A lot of it has to do with the hype and expectation that surrounded him in his first year or two. The endless tinkering only made him develop bad habits. I wish he'd just go back to swinging freely and not thinking mechanically. For that, I blame Greg Walker. EDIT: And I agree about keeping him. He's a great clubhouse guy and if the price is right, his glove is enough of a reason to keep him, even if it's off the bench.

I find it funny that people point to Beckham's mental fortitude as reasoning for his struggles. He's one of the loosest guys in the clubhouse.

QUOTE (Big Hurtin @ Jul 23, 2012 -> 08:04 PM) Is Martinez still expected to be back this season? They're hopeful of a return before the regular season is done, yes. -

Gilmore has battled injury issues. Hasn't played since May 22. Hitting .180 in AA Birmingham.

QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 23, 2012 -> 08:50 PM) Was Konerko's single hard hit? Not necessarily a line shot, but definitely harder than a bloop. It was in on his hands.
