Just purchased tickets for round two tonight! Boom!

QUOTE (SouthSidePride05 @ Jul 21, 2012 -> 05:01 PM) What makes you think the kitties will cool off? I'm of the mindset that once they get comfortably in first place (2 or more games ahead), they'll play their best baseball. Two games ahead is a comfortable lead? They're still a team with a ton of holes.

QUOTE (Carter224 @ Jul 21, 2012 -> 04:55 PM) I don't understand how anyone found this ending a fitting conclusion to the trilogy.

QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Jul 21, 2012 -> 04:44 PM) Terrific movie. Best one in the series definitely. Anyone who says Batman Begins is better is kidding themselves. I loved it at the time, but it has aged horribly in just a few short years. Terribly corny and low budget compared to the other two. I wouldn't go that far in regards to BB, but certainly each movie has gotten considerably bigger in scale. I think it's an amazing feat that Nolan has been able to meet expectations considering the hype around TDK and TDKR.

Guess what guys: It's July 21st. Even if we fall out of place, we could be right back in 1st tomorrow. Oh, and you know what else? We fell out of first place once already this season and we got it back shortly after. Hell, this game isn't over anyway either.

QUOTE (Carter224 @ Jul 21, 2012 -> 03:07 PM) Im actually very easy to please Im sorry that After all of the build up and excitement, the ending just didn't live up to what I had built into my head going in. The entire movie wasn't a let down, the ending was. So what would have been a good ending to you or your best-case-scenario ending? ?

Oh goodie, the doom and gloom game threads are back. So much fun.

Did we forget how to play the sport of baseball over the ASB?

QUOTE (maggsmaggs @ Jul 21, 2012 -> 02:15 PM) Rosenthal is about as good as it gets in baseball. I couldn't care less if CSN says the Sox haven't confirmed it. Doesn't mean the deal isn't done. All it means is that the White Sox have yet to make an official press release.

QUOTE (Cerbaho-WG @ Jul 21, 2012 -> 11:28 AM) Most of it is empty and burned down. I was there about six weeks ago and parts of the city looked like sarajevo after the war. Just really unbelievable. I guarantee 90% of the fans don't even live in Detroit. WAY more than 90%.

QUOTE (2nd_city_saint787 @ Jul 21, 2012 -> 01:53 PM) What about Jujuan Johnson out of Purdue, is he considered a C?? The Rockets are said to be getting rid of both Moore and Johnson, how does a sign and trade with Asik for those 2 guys sound? Not even close. He's basically a 4 in a 3's body. However, Moore and Johnson are really good friends, and both are talented. Moore has looked really good in summer league, plus he's a great guy. I got the chance to interview him a few weeks back. Local guy from IN and huge Bulls fans growing up.

QUOTE (iamshack @ Jul 21, 2012 -> 01:42 PM) Ran full court for about 2.5 hours today...we play every saturday morning. Such a huge difference if I am in the middle of my P90X workouts or if I am not. Tons and tons of more stamina. Tried that Gatorade "Prime" stuff...seemed like it gave me a bit of a boost. It really pisses me off that I can't play competitive basketball anymore. At any given moment, my kneecap could pop out and I'm on the shelf for 4-6 weeks. In other news, I'm going to be doing 2-a-day workouts for the next few days. Working 14+ hours a day really limits your ability to do much of anything, so I have to take advantage of days off.

I loved the movie, and I'll be seeing it again soon in the next couple of days. I was really surprised with how emotionally attached I was to the film.

Going tomorrow afternoon. CAN'T WAIT!

QUOTE (northside sawx @ Jul 19, 2012 -> 08:55 PM) Great point. BoSox = great fastball hitting team, just like us. gets him to 0-2 and still chucking it right over the plate. Not that Thornton has an off speed pitch worth a damn, tho I think it has more to do with Thornton's slider having a tendency to be a wild pitch and AJ was cautious. -
That's a good looking pup. Labs are ridiculously smart and loyal.

QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Jul 19, 2012 -> 07:00 AM) Whoa. That's like two Ilya Bryzgalov contracts. I think Nashville almost has to sign him, especially after losing Suter. If not, they would get two 1sts, a 2nd, & a 3rd. Unless the AAV is over $8.4 mil, then it would be 4 first round draft picks. If I'm not mistaken, the AAV for offer sheets only calculated the first 5 years of the contract, so it's likely going to be 4 1st rounders. I don't think that $8.4 mil number is right thought. I think it's more like 7.6. With that said, I can't see NSH not matching this. -

WHOA. 14 year, 100+ million offer sheet signed by Shea Weber with the Flyers. -
QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jul 18, 2012 -> 10:57 PM) Or a PF or a C or a SF. Doesn't really matter the position. The bench mob stuff was overblown. The Kings had the original bench mob in the early 2000s with Hedo, Bobby Jackson, Scott Pollard and some other guys I'm forgetting about. You know what the Lakers had? Tim Donaghy and NBA referees. End of story. The Bulls organization is a joke until proven otherwise. Fixed that for you.
