  1. QUOTE(WHarris1 @ May 10, 2007 -> 11:24 PM) Ya...I remember when people said it was no big deal. Damn I would love to be playing anyone but Detroit right now. It hurt for a while, until we played the white hot grandpas. Now it hurts a helluva lot. I'd kill to play the Nets right now.
  2. QUOTE(Jordan4life_2007 @ May 10, 2007 -> 09:17 PM) Amazing what happens when you play some actual defense and hit a few shots. And also what happens when you don't play defense and miss a few shots.

  4. If this team is 10+ games out next month, I wouldn't be too upset with a fire sale, but I hope KW actually gets some real quality in return. It's sort of intriguing as well. KW needs to look at Oakland and Milwaukee. Rebuild how they did.
  5. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ May 8, 2007 -> 04:41 PM) I missed the first one. Me too. I picked Kiefer, got it wrong. I then picked the other guy and still got it wrong. Highest so far is 11. But only because I kept clicking whoever was on the left.
  6. It seems as if threads and polls stem from other threads and polls. Reaction to tall people > Reaction to naked dudes > Age/Height poll Informal States lived in > Informal States visited > Informal Informal Polls
  7. QUOTE(Jordan4life_2007 @ May 7, 2007 -> 10:34 PM) I laughed at it because you brought it up without even looking at the fact he's shooting, what, 40% in the two games, and that he has been outplayed by his counterpart, Prince. If you want to say he's been our best player so far, which is not saying much, be my guest. But I'm sure he'd even admit he hasn't played well. Fact of the matter is we need both he and Ben to play like they did in the Miami series to have any shot of winning this thing. Well, in this series, 40% is not all that terrible for the Bulls. And saying he has been outplayed does no one any justice and is not relevant to the argument at all. Every player on the Pistons has outplayed his Bulls counterpart. Hell, some of their bench has outplayed our starters.
  8. QUOTE(Jordan4life_2007 @ May 7, 2007 -> 10:10 PM) LOL@17 a night. He's 7/16 and 4/12 in the two games. He's had little-to-no impact in either game. And I didn't say Gordon being in foul trouble is the only reason he's struggled. But that's been a part of it. Hard to get ino a rhythm when you're in-and-out of the game because of foul trouble. He still played 34 minutes. And after the 1st, he was able to stay out of foul trouble. And I don't see why your laughing at 17 a night. 1.) It's only a bucket under his season average. 2.) He's the only guy giving us some type of offense right now.
  9. QUOTE(Jordan4life_2007 @ May 7, 2007 -> 09:54 PM) Fourth, Deng and Gordon have to score. We're offensively-challenged as it is. We need those two guys to play well very badly. Deng hasn't looked good at all. He just doesn't seem to be in any sort of rhythm (credit the Pistons D for that). Gordon has been in foul trouble both games. We simply can't afford to have him on the bench. His scoring is critical. Kirk also has to look to score more. I'm sorry, but you lost all credibility on that one. Deng hasn't looked good (even though he's dropping 17 a game this series) but Gordon's struggles are because of foul trouble...even though he's scored a total of 20 points in 2 games. Come on now.
  10. He also played some terrible defense, leaving his man open quite a few times. All his stats came in the 4th quarter when Detroit pretty much packed it in defensively.
  11. I've been saying for a long time now that we should have dealt a package around Gordon for Randolph, Gasol, or Garnett. QUOTE(chimpy2121 @ May 7, 2007 -> 09:46 PM) Did you watch the first half? He stepped up in the second half, but he looked like absolute s*** in the first. Garbage time.
  12. QUOTE(WHarris1 @ May 7, 2007 -> 09:30 PM) My excitement about going to game 3: ... I'll still watch because I love the team so much. But it ain't lookin' good fellas. Only hope is that the home crowd completely re-energizes the team and they go on a tear.
  13. QUOTE(Soxy @ May 7, 2007 -> 08:18 PM) Can I ask what you're up to? I am intrigued. http://www.soxtalk.com/forums/index.php?s=...t&p=1411371
  14. QUOTE(LVSoxFan @ May 7, 2007 -> 03:18 PM) I see rappers all the time walking around wearing Sox gear, particularly the hats--and none of them are from Chicago, natch. Twista is always sporting a Sox hat.
  15. I almost swallowed a bee...which would have been lethal since I'm allergic.
  16. 10: Illinois Indiana Ohio Pennsylvania New York New Jersey Iowa Michigan Wisconsin Alaska By the end of this year, I will be able to add Kentucky and Florida.
  17. QUOTE(Texsox @ May 6, 2007 -> 10:36 PM) mixed bag. I thought rowand sucked last season. Only reason for Carlos Lee's decline in average is because he is solely a long-ball hitter now. Notice how everyone's power numbers skyrocketed when coming to the Sox. AJ's numbers are astounding. He hit 37 HR's in 7 season before joining the Sox. In 2 seasons + 1 month, he has 38. His average is WAY down too.
  18. Contrarily, here are players who are currently on the Sox who came on from different teams: AJ Pierzynski pre Walker: .293, 37 HR (9 HR/year) AJ Pierzynski with Walker: .254, 38 HR (17 HR/year) Juan Uribe pre Walker: .264, 24 HR (8 HR/year) Juan Uribe with Walker: .248, 64 HR (20 HR/year) Scott Podsednik pre Walker: .279, 21 HR (11 HR/year) Scott Podsednik with Walker: .284, 4 HR (2 HR/year) Jermaine Dye pre Walker: .260, 161 HR (17 HR/year) Jermaine Dye with Walker: .295, 81 HR (37 HR/year)
  19. QUOTE(SoxAce @ May 6, 2007 -> 09:27 PM) I can kick your ass without even breaking a sweat so I guess I'm not much of a help. ^ No knee shots.
  20. Walker became hitting coach in 2003. The top set is the player's BA with Walker as hitting coach, the bottom is their BA after they left the Sox. Carlos Lee with Walker: .298 Carlos Lee post Walker: .282 Miguel Olivo with Walker: .237 Miguel Olivo post Walker: .239 Aaron Rowand with Walker: .289 Aaron Rowand post Walker: .319 Jose Valentin with Walker: .226 Jose Valentin post Walker: .240 Frank Thomas with Walker: .252 Frank Thomas post Walker: .264 Magglio Ordonez with Walker: .304 Magglio Ordonez post Walker: .316 I'm bored.
