Now that I think about it, signing Clemens would make so much sense right now. Sign him for 1 year, fill him in as our 5th starter as a "stopgap" and when he leaves after 2007, we use the money to extend Garland's contract. This is what we would look like in 2008:

I must be high on something, because the youth and talent of our prospects all of the sudden makes me very happy. Sweeney, Fields, and all those pitchers...wow.
