  1. QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Jun 9, 2005 -> 12:50 AM) Wow I just got home...we raped them...hard. Even though El Duque wasn't great, props to him for getting the W. ALSO HOLY s*** Politte and El with hits? Frank goes yard, Crede with a bomb...I love it Politte's hit game me a boner.....fake bunt with the infield charging and a slap hit past the 1B into RF for an RBI.....
  2. Hunter's shot on Burke was more of a cheap-shot because of the timing. IIRC, Burke didn't even have the ball yet and the Hunter play was unnecessary IMO as well.
  3. QUOTE(South Side Fireworks Man @ Jun 9, 2005 -> 12:46 AM) And Shingo strikes out the side! For every positive, comes a negative for Shingo lol.
  4. QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Jun 9, 2005 -> 12:46 AM) First time swept at home. I think they've been swept plenty of times on the road. They're just awful there. Well thats what I meant......

    Politte

Politte has been down-right dominant. Our bullpen would be in the s***ter without him and Hermy..............and Cotts as of late.
  6. Why don't the Sox just move to Colorado lol? They might make more revenue! J/K...had to get it off my chest. Anyways... tonight was a good win. 1st time the Rockies were swept this season, 1st team to 40 wins, El Duque became the 3rd 7-game winner on the Sox, and the bullpen was solid. I am concerened with what happened to Marte though.....any updates?
  7. QUOTE(bulokis @ Jun 9, 2005 -> 12:39 AM) Awesome season so far, we just have to keep it continue - per Sosa. Hahaha. Awesome quote. Because you see, da why sa bin berry goo to me.
  8. All I really care about is the health of Iguchi and a White Sox winner!
  9. Chocolate on Chocolate- Sexy, always ready to giv and recieve. You are very creative, adventurous, ambitious, and passionate. You have a cold exterior but are warm on the inside. Not afraid to take chances, you wont settle for anything in life. You love to laugh. I woulda preferred Key Lime Pie or Apple Pie but Chocolate/Chocolate will suffice!
  10. QUOTE(jerseysox @ Jun 7, 2005 -> 03:26 PM) Scott "Peas in a" Podsednik Ross "Droppin' a" Gload Mark "Kerry Wood's Mother Is Quite" Buehrle Dustin "The Air Makes Me Sneeze" Hermanson My personal favorites but MB's is the best.

  12. QUOTE(Soxnbears01 @ Jun 4, 2005 -> 06:32 PM) i've applied at about 10 places, nothing, nada. I just applied to Harmonies and Burger King too.
  13. It would have been a helluva matchup if it was he and MB but I'm glad we miss him....good news for the sox.
  14. QUOTE(soxman352000 @ Jun 3, 2005 -> 02:08 PM) Same here I think it was all a stunt in order to get more people interested in the show since Comedy central gave him big money I think he did it to stir-up more interest in the show and for skit ideas.
  15. Buehrle doing slipandslides again lol. Don't hurt yourself MB. Rain delays suck.
  16. QUOTE(nitetrain8601 @ Jun 4, 2005 -> 02:41 AM) Why? Thanks?
  17. I still beleive El Duque will be coming out of the bullpen if we make it to the playoffs. Count has pitched very well and you can;t deny him of that, He got unlucky in like 5 starts, so what. El Duque hasn;t been pitching too great lately but has been getting the W's. It's a toss up.
  18. I want to see Frank at DH today with Carl on the bench. Yes, Car lhas been hot but I want to see how Frank will affect the others in the lineup, especially PK.
  19. School is out in 2 weeks. Day games will be more attended and night games as well. The season is still young and the Sox are playing well. The people will come, the people will most-definitely come.
  20. QUOTE(AddisonStSox @ Jun 4, 2005 -> 11:52 AM) Watch for rain. It's nice and sunny on the south side right now 4 hours till game-time. I HOPE wecan get this 1 in and add anotther White Sox winner!
  21. QUOTE(TLAK @ Jun 4, 2005 -> 12:00 PM) What a great season it has been so far. Not just the winning, but the team has satisfied in many different ways. There have been many close nail biting games to keep you on the edge of your seat and entertain you the whole night, plus give you something to talk about until the next one. We’ve had thrill of winning and the agony of defeat. There have been awards, Player of the Week and Pitcher of the Month. We’ve seen a closer get blown out of his job and a closer with a perfect record. The Manager has looked like a genius one day and like an idiot the next. We’ve seen a 1 hour 38 minute game and 112 pitches in 4 innings. We’ve seen a catcher play 3rd, a 3rd baseman play short, a left fielder play short and a right fielder play 1st. We’ve seen a batter hit and not go to first, and a wild pitch bounce off a wall perfectly to nail a runner. The manager has taken on the press, the umpires, Wrigley Field and some of his own players. We have seen some errors but not a case I can think of where a player put himself above the team. Good players under performing like Dye and role players over performing like Widger. And now we get to see a Hall of Famer at the plate almost everyday. There have been so many negative, depressing posts about players and the manager on this board, I’d just like to remind everybody that this has been a great season to date. I get as mad as anyone about some of Ozzie’s moves or players not coming through 100% of the time, but remember that its all part of the game, part of the mix of events that make up a season. Don’t let your anger over a guy obscure the big picture. This team is fun, watching them is fun. Have some fun too. Amen!
