QUOTE(Steff @ Jun 16, 2005 -> 05:10 PM) IIRC that was down near southern Illinois and that the wave wasn't able to be felt my people. I remember my cats went nuts though. What the hell is up with your cats then?

Wait, wasn't there an earthquake here in Chicago some-time last year. I remember waking up and hearing that 1 happened at like 3:00 AM.

QUOTE(TheDybber @ Jun 16, 2005 -> 05:06 PM) Yes, I believe a flood AND a blizzard would count toward a natural disaster. See: Mississippi River flood of the early 90's...Blizzard of '78 in Chicago. Or was it '79? '79. That was only a few years after my family came from Yugoslavia illegally across the Nile River.

UPDATE: My right nipple is hard, the left one.........not so much.

I have never experiences a natural disaster..........thank god. Unless floods and blizzards count?

QUOTE(JUGGERNAUT @ Jun 16, 2005 -> 01:22 PM) While I don't believe Tampa will ask a King's Ransom for a player they don't plan to pay arbit $'s for in 06 I will agree I am asking a lot of these 4 players to accept less AB's in the 2nd half. I'm assuming they are the type of players that will accept lesser roles for the good of a team that seems destined to go to the World Series. It goes w/out saying if they aren't willing to accept that the trades are dead. There's a lot of questions there. Would Guardado accept being a setup guy for Hermy? Would Huff & Mueller be willing to share time with Koney & Crede? Would JR pick up the extra $10M to get it done? If the team is short on cash right now then Guardado is probably the only option we can afford. The M's are remaking their team with Sox prospects. I like the idea of getting Guardado. He would improve our pen A LOT! I just don't see being able to get huff or mueller and STILL keep crede and on top of that, platoon them with Kong AND Crede. It just doesn't fit the pieces of the puzzle to me.

Haha, our back-up doubles up their starter!

Bill Mueller could be traded to the White Sox

QUOTE(ScottPodRulez22 @ Jun 15, 2005 -> 06:14 PM) And why would we give Politte or Cotts up. To get rid of Cruddy and replace him with a consistent, good-fielding, switch-hitter? -

QUOTE(ScottPodRulez22 @ Jun 15, 2005 -> 04:34 PM) But its the Devil Rays This is true. BUT.........I like what I have been seeing out of this Sox offense lately. Sure, they haven't been scoring at will but PK has turned it around, Dye is back to himself, Aaron is in his 2004 form, and Uribe is on the rise. Pods is consistently on base. AJ is pretty much the only one who has been on the down-side. Gooch is questionable. A good performance by Jon and we win. PERIOD. Contreras and El Duque blew the last 2 games. The offense has NOT blew. We need both tonight. -

QUOTE(ScottPodRulez22 @ Jun 15, 2005 -> 06:10 PM) Red sox want pitching that can help them right now and want to get rid of mueller so they could put some new guy there so they woudnt want crede. So my answer is no. I'm thinking they might want Pollitte then if they want immediate help. Or maybe and more likely Cotts because he can start too and he has been pitching well. -
1983 Commemoration Day: 20 years later. I went to that game in 2003. Pretty special.

QUOTE(Buehrle>Wood @ Jun 15, 2005 -> 11:16 AM) How dumb do you have to be to get hit by a train? Dumb as a north-sider apparently. :banghead

Shingo was phenomal last year............not so much this year. Cotts has been phenomenal lately.
-
I like all his idea's quite a lot. The Harry Caray one is questionable though. Newer Sox fan's wouldn't be interested.

QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Jun 15, 2005 -> 05:50 PM) Mechanics could be related to an arm problem. Or they could in fact cause an arm problem. Exactly.........how long can you expect a side-armer to be useful/reliable? Name 1 who pitched well for a long-time?
-
Hahaha.......yeah, we're gonna get Huff and platoon him with Kong at 1st and still keep Crede? Wow.........just wow.
-
I don't think there is too much of a problem with his arm but more of mechanics and confidence issues. He still has good velocity sometimes.
