QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Mar 26, 2005 -> 02:00 PM) A general footnote for all who are interested. I revieved an email from Brandon's dad, and he tells me that Brandon's computer has become victim to a virus. BMac hasn't had access to Soxtalk or his emails since January, so if anyone else has tried to contact him, there is a very good reason why he hasn't responded. Thanks to Mr McCarthy for the email Bring him up, give him a signing bonus, let him get his brand new, state-of-the-art computer, and send him back down.

QUOTE(Gene Honda Civic @ Mar 26, 2005 -> 10:48 PM) Incredible game, but that last possesion by Arizona stops it from ranking among the best ever... They just got nothing going, and at the end the best shooter in college basketball was 35 feet from the basket with his back turned. That's not much of a decoy. Still a combination of great games today. That's not what was intended. Besides, Salim turned his back after the shot went off the glass. Read my above post. -

BTW, there was suppose to be a high-screen for Stoudamire but Dee cut it off and Deron shut down whoever shot up that last shot. AWESOME! -

QUOTE(rangercal @ Mar 26, 2005 -> 12:55 PM) then by my math that does not come to having no coverage. we should get 67% coverage to their 100. Actually it should be their 67% to out 33%.

QUOTE(T R U @ Mar 26, 2005 -> 12:47 PM) but people arent just going to magically come to the park, you raise the payroll for a better product and more people will come.. Were never gonna come to a solution so let's agree to disagree.

QUOTE(T R U @ Mar 26, 2005 -> 12:28 PM) If we raise the payroll more people will come to the park...... But if more people came to the park, there will be more $$$ to raise payroll...

I hope Aj doesn't say anything bad back because that would ruin his perspective by the media again. He has been good with the Sox, and although he has, the media is always looking for something sneaky to say. Aj should just come out, accept the apology, and leave.

http://msn.foxsports.com/mlb/story/3487226 Top 10 Rookies that will make an impact in 2005. Not in numerical order but BMac is listed 7th.

I'm still not sold on a RB in the 1st round. Why waste such a high valued pick on a backup? If it ends up being like the Rams w/ Faulk and Jackson.....that's a different story. To choose a backup that high, HE BETTER PAN OUT!

Hey Kalapse...how come Zarko Cabarkapa isn't in bold???

or WR 1st round, LB/RB 2nd Round

QUOTE(T R U @ Mar 23, 2005 -> 02:24 PM) oh I know.. I wasnt trying to make my "so?" seem like I snapped it.. but you cant tell some things on the internet because you just read it, not hear it.. I hope CLee has a monster year Cool. Well, ya, I;m kinda rooting for the Brewers a bit too. Man I hope Richie Sexson has a monster year!

QUOTE(Cerbaho-WG @ Mar 23, 2005 -> 11:50 AM) "Don't tell me what you hit, tell me when you hit it." Enjoy building your franchise around Timo Perez then. Haha. Or "Don't tell me how many bases he stole, tell me when he stole 'em!" God, I love Hawk!

QUOTE(T R U @ Mar 23, 2005 -> 02:19 PM) so? He been killing the ball in ST so far I cant wait to see him when they come to Houston.. im gonna have to get a CLee Brewers jersey I know. He is hitting the daylights out of the ball but he is still fat. Just a comment. Nothing else.

QUOTE(danman31 @ Mar 23, 2005 -> 12:37 AM) Barring injuries or a horrible slump that lasts for 2 years Anderson will make it first. And Soxfan1 said Sweeney is scalding the ball...he is hitting .174 (4 for 23) while Anderson is 6 for 20 (.300). Good to see Anderson do well, I'm slightly worried after the way he ended 2004, injuries or not. Scalding the ball doesn't mean you are hitting .875! Every single time/game I have seen him in, he has hit the ball hard. That's just bad-luck that it is right at somebody. Damn.

His interviews with Edgeririn James were pretty good. Very funny.

#1- Freel = Great Player. Great insurance for Gooch and Crede. #2- hammerhead johnson: "Coming out of the big series in Cleveland in late July, the Big Hurt wasn't doing much for the first-place Chicago White Sox except leading the American League in hitting, runs, walks, on-base percentage, slugging percentage, extra-base hits, ropes, bombs, shortstops moving out of the way of nuclear ground balls, and number of clubhouse boys sent running for more double-strength Mylanta. Try this on for size: This year, barring a protracted strike, Thomas could break Babe Ruth's records for runs, walks, and extra-base hits in a single season. He could become the first man since Ted Williams to have an on-base percentage of .500 or higher, and the first one since Williams with a slugging percentage above .700. Now here's a sentence without Ruth or Williams: Thomas looks as if he'll be the first man to bat .350, hit 50 home runs, and walk 150 times in one season- period. Oh, and he's after the Triple Crown and Roger Maris's 61 home runs, too. Basically, he is scaring baseball right out of it's Bikes. Somebody asked Cleveland Indian manager Mike Hargrove the other day how to pitch to Thomas, and he said "Throw it 10 feet in front of the plate and hope he doesn't hit it on the first hop". Already New York Yankee manager Buck Showalter has said he would consider walking him with the bases loaded. "I wish they'd let us put on the masks and shin guards", Cleveland Indians pitcher Dennis Martinez says. "Pitchers shouldn't be left out there alone with him"." BEST SIG EVAR!!!!!!!!!

Are there any outdoorsmen....or women, here at SoxTalk? I'm talking about the fishermen and the hunters. I for one, LOVE the outdoors more than just about anything else. I hunt and fish and was just curious if I was the only 1.
