  1. QUOTE(JUGGERNAUT @ Mar 22, 2005 -> 11:23 PM) I agree. Hernandez makes no sense. Williams raves about his health & he's looked pretty strong in ST & yet he comes down with an ailment? Not believable. But then again: 1) El Duque has had previous injuries 2) Look what happened to Buehrle....good health, pitching well.....
  2. I never made it past "long off-season"....
  3. QUOTE(EvilJester99 @ Mar 22, 2005 -> 11:18 PM) As much as noone wants to judge on one outting. I think Walker really hurt his own cause today. I am sure he will be pitching a lot this coming week just to prove maybe it was a bad outing or maybe his arm wasn't right today. That's what I was trying to say. Thanks.
  4. QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ Mar 22, 2005 -> 11:08 PM) What exactly are you judging Walker on? His 8 or so IP so far in the Spring? I'm judging him on everything I know about him. His outings this spring ahve been wonderful but he pitched poorly today. I know his ERA went up to 16.20 after todays outing. I know he has a career 4.45 ERA in the MLB. I knoe he has been with the Padre's and Giants and is now with the Sox. I also know he is in a competition with Neal Cott's to make this team. Thats's what I'm judging him on.
  5. I lost a bunch of confidence in him today. Cotts pitched well....Walker blew. But....you can;t judge someone on 1 performance. If that's the case our only ML pitchers would be McCarthy, Buehrle, Shingo, and Walker. But we'll see. It's down to Cotts and Walker. Who wants it more?
  6. QUOTE(El Piervizdyeguchansodnik @ Mar 22, 2005 -> 10:56 PM) Is anyone else getting sick and tired of the computer catching almost all of your line drives??? I can barely get one out of the infield and screamers that should be extra bases get caught standing up. Is there a solution anywhere??? Change the "CPU Infielder Speed" in the sliders to like -15.
  7. "Hotty Scotty" is kinda freaking me out. Oh, and "Behind AJ Pierzynski....who mostly bends over!" A bit odd.
  8. Tough cuts for those 2. Anderson was really consistent and Sweeney was SCALDING the ball. No chance of either to make the team but I was impressed with their performances. Next to be sent down: Kevin Walker Joe Borchard
  9. Bucs get Derrick Johnson since the Brown let him up. Mike Williams to the Bears? It's Benson or Edwards....c'mon.
  10. That video of KW as CSN reporter is the shiot!!!!!
  11. Whew. The news is getting better and better. The opening day start might not hurt. If KW moves everyone up in the rotation and just places Buehrle 5th, he might not have to ACTUALLY miss any starts.
  12. I'm glad he didn't dislocate anything. Dislocations/Tears are way wears than one breaks. You can break a arm, leg, ankle, and have it back to normal in a month. I dislocated both knees in September and am STILL hampered by both.
  13. This just ficked up my whole day. What the f***. Damnit! Do they know how he broke it????
  14. Shingo is my guy! A-Row and Frank tied for 2nd. Pk in 3rd.
  15. QUOTE(Gene Honda Civic @ Mar 14, 2005 -> 10:08 PM) Great pics! BTW, why is the 1st advertisement on the bottom say "Free Amateaur Girls"? Just curious, cuz I clicked it and some other garbage came up!
  16. We still don't know. Supposedly it's a sinker but I dunno. Maybe a curve???
  17. I think Robin will still do his 4 and 2 addition by Carmen???
  18. QUOTE(qwerty @ Mar 13, 2005 -> 03:43 PM) He might not go hitless often but when he goes 1-5 or 1-4 all the time that is not exactly good. Is it not better than 0-4 or 0-5????
  19. I am 2-0 so far in starting game threads!
  20. I was impressed by a few things today: 1) El Duque, Shingo, and Matt Smith pitched very well today. 2) Baserunning was good overall. 3) Owens/Young form a great OF duo. 4) Ozuna impressed me a lot. 5) Rogo is gaining more and more recognition and deservedly so. 6) Wonderful poise to come back and win by the rooks. 7) Borchard is tearing the ball up.
