QUOTE(sox4lifeinPA @ Jan 12, 2008 -> 02:15 PM) I'm no "FlasoxxJim" but I'm pretty sure birds don't have the "I'm full" feeling us "normal" animals have... I'm a little bit FlasoxxJim (and a little bit Rock and Roll), and certainly birds have a satiation ("I'm full") response. I think the bit about the animals "gorging" themselves in the story is a little misleading. In reading the story, I think the birds just got all gunked up in the soupy processing wastes and either sunk into the stuff or succumbed to cold because they couldn't fluff their feathers.

Voter cited in opposition to Indiana ID law...

QUOTE(Mplssoxfan @ Jan 12, 2008 -> 12:02 PM) I'll bet I'm registered in at least two precincts, if not three. Not that I would ever vote twice. I left that behind when I moved out of Chicago. I'm sure you still have some dead relatives voting there that even it all out. -
That course is so ghey.

Is the Mustang Ranch a "recognized facility"? That could significantly change the response you know.

QUOTE(kyyle23 @ Jan 3, 2008 -> 01:43 PM) Abby has Hannah Montana too, I forgot about that one. How is that Pet Vet game? Abby really wants it, but I am afraid it may be a little ahead of where she is right now, so i told her we would hold off until the summer to check that out(there is like 2 or 3 different animal vet titles for the DS) Personally, I really want to get Drawn to life My 8 year old played Drawn to Life for about 2 weeks solid and then he hit a rough patch in the game and got flustered. Yoshi Island and one of the other Mario tiltes (dunno which) are still his favorite DS games, and both he and his sister like Nintendogs. Santa brought them a Wii and Mario Galaxy and Big Brain Academy are the big favorites so far. That's when the kids can get Dad off of GH# that is. I'm getting addicted to that dang game, though I can't beat Lou the Devil to save my life.

Which Presidential Candidate would you want to have a beer with?

QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Dec 28, 2007 -> 04:15 PM) The irish consider drinking to be very heavenly and the path to the truth. The only reason Jesus made water into wine was that Guinness wasn't invented yet. And the only reason God invented alcohol was to make sure we Irish didn't end up ruling the planet. -

QUOTE(GoSox05 @ Dec 28, 2007 -> 01:42 PM) Do any of the republicans even drink? Isn't that against god or the bible. Heck no. Jesus turned water into wine and wine is a central component in the Christian mass. Christian Conservatives are just wound too tight for their own good. -
Illegal aliens packing up and leaving Arizona.

QUOTE(Alpha Dog @ Dec 28, 2007 -> 12:10 PM) SHe didn't have a choice. The rest of us do. FlaSoxxJim, if your wife decided that she wanted 25 kids, would you go along, or would you stop it somewhere along the line because you couldn't feed, house, clothe or care for any more? Everyone of us makes that choice somewhere as to when enough is enough, sometimes for financial reasons, sometimes for other considerations. But if you can't even take care of yourself, and yet you knowingly bring a dependent mouth to feed into this world, you have committed a form of child abuse from the moment they are born. Personally I think Jonathan Swift had the right solution regarding the multitudes of shiftless layabout poor children, but unfortunately it never really caught on. Cr@p, I forgot to copyright it! -

QUOTE(Texsox @ Dec 24, 2007 -> 11:10 AM) I agree 100%, and I would hope that individuals would make that choice. I don't believe I mentioned any laws. But making a blanket statement that someone should not reproduce makes me uncomfortable. Basically it means that poor people should not reproduce. And as soon as we start making statements about who should, and who should not, reproduce, I get an uneasy feeling. Then again, maybe God should have thought better and knocked up someone more affluent than the wife of a poor carpenter. WWAD? (What Would Alpha Do?) -
QUOTE(juddling @ Dec 20, 2007 -> 11:14 AM) I'm not sure how the movie was recieved or reviewed here but i finally got around to seeing Superbad and i got to say i thought (with the exception of a few scenes) it sucked bigtime. Maybe cause I'm older or what but the amount of swearing got to the point that it wasn't funny , it was annoying. I thought McLovin's storyline with the cops was pretty funny at times but the rest was stupid. Thankfully, it only cost me a dollar. It's ok to admit you were just creeped out by all those penis drawings.

QUOTE(RibbieRubarb @ Dec 18, 2007 -> 03:45 PM) Here's some new WALL-E!!! Pixar f'n ROCKS. Head and shoulders above any crap Dreamworks animation tries to throw out there. That has the look of classic Pixar animation. That look supposedly originally came from the limitations of the RenderMan shaders, so everything had more of toy look that I still find more appealing than the photorealistic rendering apps. Whatever it is, you are right, yoou can tell something is Pixar just by looking at it.

QUOTE(NorthSideSox72 @ Dec 19, 2007 -> 04:49 PM) I thought it was one of their best. Dead on with where this society is going. I pretty much agree, but I bet the guy pitching the idea to his bosses was sweating it a bit.

Wow. That may be the coolest thing I have ever seen. :o It's hard to tell at the end, but do you pop a small chute to slow down when you're done or do you hit the ground at 100mph?? One thing is for sure, if ACME sold these things, the Coyote would have caught the Roadrunner inside of 5 minutes.

QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Dec 19, 2007 -> 11:29 AM) Hello Spears family. I am Timmy your friendly Trojan Condom. Remember me before your next sexual encounter. When they turn blue like that, it means it's safe for Pac-Man to eat them, right?

QUOTE(bigruss22 @ Dec 17, 2007 -> 10:01 PM) Actually, we were at the mall on a date once and were looking at a stand full of calenders and such and one was a three stooges one and she cracked up. Well that settles it then. She's a keeper!

QUOTE(Texsox @ Dec 17, 2007 -> 06:14 PM) Nice, personal, but not too personal. She knows you are listening, and wanting her to expand her horizons. Get a load of Mr. Sensitivity. Now where's that jerking-off smiley. . . The sketching supplies are actually a nice gift. But the BETTER gift would have been the complete Three Stooges on DVD. If she grimmaced when whe opened it then you know you need to end the relationship ASAP. If all men followed this simple advice. . . we'd all be single forever.

I was shocked when I heard this on the radio this morning. Only 56?!? Very sad. First Ike, Now Fogelberg. Who's going to be "lucky" number three?
