Twins Series
I'm not saying we shouldn't be able to take them down with all the holes they have. I think they have played above their abilities so far this year and we have not consistently played to ours. I'm just not ready to call it a season if we don't take 3 of the games this weekend. My calendar still shows almost 4 and a half months left in the season, and a dozen games left with Minny after Sunday.

'Fahrenheit 9/11' Great Post Review
With the need for 5 screenings on Monday, it sounds like it's the film to beat at Cannes. Hopefully teh Weinstein's can buy it from the Mouse and distribute it on their own. There are two secene stills on Moore's site too.

Post ya favorite Beatles song:
I don't know any where you can pick your song streams, but here's a link to a LIVE365 station called "Beatles-A-Rama" that streams 24 hour Beatles and Beatles-related stuff: http://www.live365.com/stations/jackallday

Twins Series
A split at the Metrodome where we have done so poorly the last few years would be acceptable, if not ideal. It would be nice to gain a game on them if not two by the end of the weekend though.

You forgot the most important part at the end of the song... "mih ssim, mih ssim, mih ssim... nam daed a si lauP"

You also forgot to add that, at 5:45 PM before things get underway all participants should check their souls with the attendant at the door.- I saw the Eagles tonight
No sir, that's was Glen Frey in his Miami Vice soundtrack-soundin' days.- I saw the Eagles tonight
I don't have the complete Eagles (mark 1) catalog, so I didn't even know 7 Bridges Row WAS ever done as a studio cut. I only have it off of the Eagles Live double-LP. What was it on before that? That song was the first song I recorded in high school when I got my first 4-track recorder. Three Flaxx vocal tracks, 2 Flaxx guitar trax, and a nickel ante Flaxx bass line to boot. All Flaxx all the time. Screw the rest of the guys in the garage band that never went anywhere – it was time for me to never get anywhere all on my own! Burn Down the Mission is in the top 5 vintage Elton songs, and the live versions from all of the pre-1973 concert stuff I have heard are phenomenal. Tumbleweed Connection is my favorite album hands-down, but everything up through that and Madman Across the Water still blows me away when I listen to it.- I saw the Eagles tonight
Yeah, Jackson brown wrote or co-wrote Take it easy, and Souther wrote 7 Bridges Road. I know early in the pre-Eagles history there was also sort of a passing of the California music torch between Chriss Hillman (ex Byrds) and the Flying Burrito's, the NRO the Purple Sage etc., and that the Eagles were kind of cemented as the new Califonia sound even before they really had it together. It's good to have friends.- Angels interested in Jose Valentin?
Agreed, this is a fact.- Vaseline Man
LOL! His family must be very proud of him.- I saw the Eagles tonight
Alpine Valley? As for the bands autobiography, did the later years read read something like... Henley: Glen, you're a dick. Frey: Don, you're a way bigger dick. Henley: Glen, you're a no-talent prick, I'm singing and writing everything. Frey: Get back behind the drumset, Asshole. Schmidt: Guys, shut the hell up. Henley and Frey: f*** off (dick) Schmidt: Whatever (assholes) Frey: That's it, I'm done! Henley: Scrfew you, I'm quitting. Walsh:..... wha... huh... did I miss something?- Wunsch recalled, Cotts to start
In all likelihood (sp?) he will. It's a long season and one of the starters is likely to get sidelined for at least a short stint. Hopefully he can pick up right where he left off before the call-up and get his confidence back. That said, Rock and Roll, Neal and Kelly!- I saw the Eagles tonight
That's "Witch-aay Woman." 'Doctor, what is it? Doctor, are you alright??' witesoxfan, did they do "7 Bridges Road" tonight? How did it come off?- White House, Defense won't confirm, but...

It's less than ideal, but it's the rule more than the exception with closers all around this year. They can't all be Rivera. And after all, that's' why Rolaids sponsors the award, right?- game threead 5/18 - Sox @ Indians, 7:05 ET
I am speechless. Way, Billy Boy!- game threead 5/18 - Sox @ Indians, 7:05 ET
Is this even the same team I watched sleepwalk through the game yesterday?- I won't be around as much...
You and your wife and family are in my thoughts. Take care of each other.- New Yorker: Rummy approved prisoner abuse
Sometimes things get to the point where more evidence, testimony, etc, don't really matter. But what the hell, in case anyone still thinks the Abu Ghraib fraternity pranksters were acting on their own, here's more to ignore: ‘Definitely a Cover-Up’ Former Abu Ghraib Intel Staffer Says Army Concealed Involvement in Abuse Scandalhttp://abcnews.go.com/sections/WNT/Investi...p_040518-1.html- Darn those nutty Reservists
To take everyone's mind off of those ugly 'isolated events' at Abu Ghraib, let's instead tune in to see how Iraqi prisoners are supposed to be treated. Wait, maybe this one is not so pleasant either. Well, hopefully some of the other dozen or so Iraqi deaths at the hands of US interrogators now under investigation will convince me that this is just wacky reservist hijinks. The newest Iraqi on ice is 52-year-old Nadem Sadoon Hatab. He was a former Baath Party official, so I guess that makes it alright. He may have known where Jessica Lynch's firearm was, so maybe that makes it alright - that is why the marine reservists were told to be extra brutal with him. Funny thing though, none of the "interrogators" spoke Arabic and nobody present for the "interrogation" did either. Kind of hard to gather information that way, I'd bet. Here's the whole story if anybody cares: http://abcnews.go.com/sections/WNT/World/I...h_040507-1.html - Republican National Convention Agenda
