  1. Just wait until a few years down the line when 13 gets lengthened. They already lengthened 15 20 yards this year which is making a huge difference on that hole. Eagles aren't happening anymore.
  2. Idk how they're going to be able to get a SP upgrade without trading Vaughn. It just has to be the right guy, with 3 or more years of control.
  3. BTW for all of you golf fans, don't worry about the Masters Scheffler is running away with it.
  4. With Pollock getting injured we won't be having the Vaughn vs Sheets conversation for a while. BTW......Don't get me wrong, I really like Vaughn as a player. I thought that it would be poor for his development to be the short side of a DH platoon. He needs to be getting PA against RHP. I don't want to trade him but idk if they have an option if they want to upgrade SP.
  5. He doesn't have the innings base to ever start. Best hope is that he becomes a Josh Hader in his prime type weapon.
  6. When Crochet comes back, hopefully he's hitting triple digits again.
  7. Good to know Lopez still sucks. Remember 2018 when Lopez was the next ace and Giolito was DFA material? Good times.
  8. Given the type of players the Sox have, this is going to be a problem all year.
  9. The Quintana trade was grand larceny. I didn't think that Quintana would decline as much as he did after he got traded.
  10. Why do you think there's a labor shortage? There's a whole bunch of people that died or can't work anymore.
  11. Covid has only existed for 3 years bro. It took 15 years for the medical community to have a decent understanding of HIV, which was discovered roughly 40-45 years ago.
  12. Long covid is different. They're just starting to do research now, it had been largely ignored until the numbers became undeniable. Somewhere between 10-30% of all covid cases result in long covid. The fact that he's out there at all is kinda amazing, given what has happened to non-athletes.
  13. If you watch him play the ball doesn't explode off his bat like it used to. It's pretty obvious. Even when he was struggling in 2017/18 the ball exploded off his bat. I don't think it's as simple as the juiced ball. He was hitting 440+ ft HRs in 2019, not barely scraping the OF wall. He also had elite exit velocity. That skill doesn't just disappear at age 25 without something else going on.
  14. C'mon. Jake Burger is not better than Moncada. Yoan brings GG defense and patience at the plate, while Burger is average to below average defensively and does not have the plate discipline Moncada does. Just so everyone knows, when I criticize Moncada it isn't that I don't appreciate that he's a very good player, it's more lamenting the fact that he could have been so much better if he didn't get long Covid. That is nobody's fault, not even his. It just sucks. He had his career trajectory altered by contracting a novel virus that is airborne. It's just incredibly unfortunate.
