Hahn Presser at 4pm tomorrow? Did it look that bad? Can't watch currently.

The ball just jumps off his bat. Too bad they really don't have anywhere to play him when Eloy comes back.

I'm listening on the radio and watching on gameday, strike 3 on Moncada was too close to take, no?

Giolito has thoughts about Donaldsons comments
I agree. I think he's just having a bad year. I think the Sox have a better chance of holding onto Lynn than Rodon. Rodon has been very injured so he's going to go for top dollar, and I wouldn't blame him 1 bit. If his injuries are truly behind him, someone is going to get a bargain. I'd use Charlie Morton's recent deals as a comparable and I think those are more than fair for Lynn.

He has also had the bad luck to be pitching during day games with the wind blowing out at GRF.

His HR/FB rate was 6th worst in MLB coming into today.

The Tigers can hit and the BABIP gods got him. Also Gio has a ridiculous HR/FB rate this year and those are never consistent from season to season.

Sheets and Burger raking in MLB is good for the Sox. They can be used as trade bait.

Boras might ask for Rodon to get shut down.

Where the fuck has that high fastball been all season?

This is the best slider he's had in a while. Sorry for overreacting, I'm an idiot. Probably an adjustment period for Gio without the pine tar.

Oh look, Lucas starts locating the high fastball again and he looks great......

Lucas needs to put his fastball there more often.

Also guys, Detroit isn't that bad of a team. They might be challenging the Sox as soon as next year.

Collins is fine offensively for a backup catcher, he's horrible at framing. Work with Grandal in the offseason, Zack.

In 2019-20 Giolito had great success pairing a high fastball and a high changeup. He has been nowhere close with the high fastball all season.

I actually think Gio will be fine, but he's going to have to put work in to get his control in order without his sticky stuff. He'll put the work in. I'd actually take the gamble that he figures it out again and try to buy low on an extension this winter. I'm more concerned about the offense not being able to hit a HR since they deadened the ball. Gio has been off all year. He's having a bad year and I believe he'll figure it out. More concerned about the offense. Have to see what Robert and Eloy do when they return. If Robert's power outage continues and Eloy has one, we have a problem. I'm also not naive enough to completely dismiss that his success could have been entirely pine tar related.

They're basically going to turn into the Angels next year. Also, Robert only had 1 HR when he got hurt so we have to question that as well.

He'll put in the work, just have to hope that it leads to results.
