GT 6/29 Twins @ White Sox
Should make him easier to retain. He's just having a bad season imo. Fastball command is shite this year. Just my opinion but his curve is better than his slider. It also pairs better with the 4 seamer. Throw it more.

I have a bad feeling about tonight with the humidity and Giolito's gopher ball rate.

ELOY back Monday against KC
Yep, I'd imagine that both Eloy and Robert go 2-3 weeks for a rehab assignment. That would put Eloy back around the TDL and Robert back about 2 weeks later.

Why isn't Grandal at 1B and Abreu at DH?

Heyman: Sox interested in someone on some team. Nightengale: *nods*
That's Ron's burner troll account. He uses it to fuck with Sox Twitter.

This is fair.

Heyman: Sox interested in someone on some team. Nightengale: *nods*
It doesn't....I thought I saw that, but I guess I misinterpreted a different article talking about the offseason deal.

Thanks Ray Ray. I was half wrong.......There was no deal because there was never going to be one.

I just found it, it was an article by Ken Rosenthal. He threatened to opt out if traded. Here's the link. https://theathletic.com/2246560/

I didn't pull this out of my ass, I saw it in there. I could have sworn that they either had a deal or were close to one before Lynn nixed it.

If you subscribe to the Athletic, it was in an offseason or ST article about Lynn. I don't feel like going back and looking through 3-6 months of articles.

That shit needs to stop, or it should be given based on aggregate winning percentage.

Really? I thought I read something in the Athletic to the contrary when Lynn got traded to the Sox.

What I mean is that they're really aggressive by trading top prospects to win now, without spending in FA to replace the lost production from those prospects. That's what's frustrating.

If they played well against other top teams (had a winning record against them) from other divisions then I'd be super excited.

I look at the top teams in baseball and don't think they stack up. They're the tallest midget in the shitty AL Central.

We all do man, that's why we post here. It just seems to me that the FO has no vision.

No, I want them to pick a damn lane instead of half-assing both.

They had a deal for Lynn last year but he didn't want to leave TX mid-season during the pandemic.

Nothing really, as the Sox have proven.

I'm just frustrated because I don't agree with how the team is being run. They act like a big market team without spending like one. That's where my problem lies. They're not going to do what I suggest, because I know the Modus Operandi of Sox management is to be super aggressive when in 1st place. I have no delusions of what they're going to do. I'll shut up about it now. If the Sox are going to act like a big boy, they need to put on the big boy pants. (spend in FA) If they're going to cry poor, then act like the poor teams (do Rays/Cleveland type stuff) They don't get to have it both ways, because that's just running their team stupidly. It's incredibly frustrating and contradictory. This is exactly how you get "mired in mediocrity"

The pandemic and injuries change things.
