Giolito only has 2 years left, Moncada and Anderson 3 (I don't think Moncada's 2025 option is getting picked up unless he starts hitting for power again) They have some decisions to make next year about this time.

They're obviously not going to do what I'm suggesting, but that doesn't mean it wouldn't be the right thing to do. Hahn is better at identifying minor league talent than he is at signing free agents.

They have too many holes to fill, no decent minor leaguers from which to trade because they drafted a ton of project HS pitchers and none of them have developed yet, and a few key players rapidly approaching free agency. If they don't get their shit together soon, a retool around the players that team control may be appropriate.

If Jerry isn't going to spend to get proper depth at the MLB level and fill holes with actual MLB quality players, then they absolutely should be.

South Korea, New Zealand and Taiwan did the best, but they're all isolated or semi-isolated countries. NZ and Taiwan are small islands and it's pretty easy to keep people out there.

Nobody should trust corporations, who own the government, and whose sole purpose is to make money no matter the human cost either. If it comes down to business or the government, I trust the government 7 days of the week and twice on Sundays. At least there is some bit of accountability, however small, to elected officials from the law and voters. Corporations are beholden to nothing but the almighty dollar. Your company's CEO would kill you if it made a profit and they were free of liability. Remember that. You mean nothing to them. Just another cog in the machine. Government exists to hold them in check and make sure they behave in the common interest of the people, or at least that's how it's supposed to work in a democracy.

I think Bowman, MacIsaac and others get fired and Rocky and son hope that it fades away over time. I think Rocky should be forced to sell if he knew about it, but it's very possible he has plausible deniability. All of this is pending further investigation.

I did it because the risk of not doing it is higher than the risk of doing it, but anytime the profit motive is involved you have to question everything. The biggest complications of the vaccines seen so far is the weird blood clots in women and myocarditis, which is common among people who get covid anyway and is treatable.
