  1. What we're saying is that communists get treated more harshly than fascists for lesser offenses. I agree that if left wing groups cross a line, they should be punished for it. That isn't the issue though. The issue is how fascism has become a mainstream ideology in the US. Quit trying to equate civil rights marches with a fascist insurrection.
  2. This is not a both sides issue. Quit trying to make it so. A bipartisan review does nothing when one of the partisan sides are majority fascist sympathizers. My ideology is pretty left wing, but I will absolutely not put my ideology over democracy. If a majority of the country disagrees with me, it is my job as a citizen to uphold democracy. The GOP think capitalism is the defining feature of the US, not democracy. The majority of the moderate Republicans have been voted out of office. I believe the defining feature of the US is democracy. There are no negotiations with terrorists. I am always anti-violence and pro-democracy.
  3. The areas of concern are the GOP gaming the system and suppressing the vote. The GOP plays dirty, the Dems play by the rules and that is the only issue. This is a right wing problem. Don't try to both sides this.
  4. Quite frankly, we believe that because it has sorta been done before by the SCOTUS in Bush v Gore. They did not allow the recount to go all the way through. As long as the politicians in robes are on the side of the batshit crazies, it is possible.
  5. A Republican hasn't won the popular vote since 1988, yet they've been president for 12 years in that span. The Electoral college and gerrymandering are anti-democratic and need to be outlawed. They only exist to uphold minority rule. In terms of the current system, legally, I do not think that an election has been stolen, while the argument could be made for Bush v Gore being a stolen one. That precedent is why this current situation can happen.
  6. While I agree with you here, there are enough of them.
  7. The voters in their states agree with them, that's the huge issue. They're actually representing their constituency.
  8. Cruz and company being censured isn't enough. They need to be expelled from congress.
  9. ^^^^^ I cannot believe the number of people that think that basic human rights are a political opinion. It's staggering.
  10. This is just the GOP showing their collective asses. This is who they've been all along. The majority of the party has been captured by fascists for years.
  11. Wims should be be benched for Ridley for the rest of the game.
  12. Even if all of those guys were healthy, it would still be a tall task. It doesn't change much. BTW, I will never compare Goff and Trubisky again. It wasn't that I ever thought Trubisky was that good, it was more that I thought Goff was that bad.
  13. I think the most telling thing about that article was that Montgomery's late season success was the same as Trubisky's. Just a product of playing bad defenses.
  14. Yes.... It's not surprising at all. Do not rehabilitate this crazy b****.
  15. Do you think I live under a rock? Quit insulting my intelligence. Starting a business isn't for everyone.
  16. You're joking, right? They're not even close to comparable. The success rate of a restaurant franchise is significantly higher than the success rate of a MLM person.
  17. If it walks like a duck, smells like a duck, and quacks like a duck...........At best, if you wanted to defend the hell out of it, you could say it walks a fine line between fraud and legitimacy. That, I could concede. But completely legit? No way in hell. The bolded and: "relatively few earn meaningful income from their efforts" Sounds predatory to me. You want to know why a McDonalds or Subway franchise costs so much? Because they work and people make tons of money buying into them. I just do not believe it is a legit business model nor do I believe they should be legal. Let's just end this. Agree to disagree. I can tell you right now that Uber sucks as a business too. I do it. I do it because it's the only way I can get pocket money and I like the flexibility. \ I would tell you right now that it is not a full time job, and should only be used to supplement income.
  18. Nah, that's not necessarily true. I just draw the line at a different place than you do, and I think that the government's job is to set the rules of business so that it's fair to the majority. Ponzi schemes and Pyramid schemes are not the same thing. A ponzi scheme is a ponzi scheme. MLM is a pyramid scheme. It got the name because at presentations for recruitment to MLM they used to have a giant pyramid to show the structure of the company. https://www.investopedia.com/terms/m/multi-level-marketing.asp This is the argument I am trying to make about why it's predatory at best, and fraud at worst.
