  1. Yep, I'd think so. I'm calling big bullshit so far.
  2. Agreed. Darvish>Bauer. Darvish's worst years are the majority of Bauer's career. Bauer is incredibly risky and I don't see Jerry going for that.
  3. Bauer is younger than Darvish but Darvish>Bauer IMO.
  4. Most of Bauer's career looks like Darvish's worst years. Darvish has been light years better than Bauer.
  5. Stiever came up and pitched in the majors this year. He's probably not on anyone's radar right now. Have to see if he gets his 2019 velo back first. Nobody wants him and I don't think anyone is dumb enough to have old scouting reports from 2019. The guy we saw in 2020 is AAAA fodder.
  6. He's not........I think Dunning's ceiling is a RHP Quintana from 2014-16.
  7. Heyward has 3/60 left. What if the Cubs are eating 33M and that's why they're getting Dunning? Pederson would be more expensive than $9M/yr
  8. I know nothing. Ask others. Apparently this deal has been floating around all day online. It makes too much sense, depending on how much money is being eaten on Heyward's deal by the Cubs. If the Sox are on the hook for only 27M of Heyward's deal that's huge. That's 9M/year for solid D in RF and whatever you get from him offensively is gravy.
  9. They're probably eating at least half of Heyward's contract to get Dunning.
  10. Outside of his first season and a half with the Cubs Darvish has been at least a strong #2 with ace like stretches. Darvish has been light years better than Bauer over the course of his career. It's not even close.
  11. Probably but it makes a lot of sense. Dunning seems a bit steep for all of that money. Maybe if they're eating 40/60M owed to Heyward.
  12. If there's any truth to it, it's probably something like Dunning, Lopez, Foster and Leury/Engel.
  13. I have a bunch.....I've been going through threads on Twitter and find nothing.
  14. Like seriously, where's the link???? Is this an Al's or Portillos joint?
  15. Lynn and Gallo are the only players they have anywhere in the org. They're in about as bad of shape as one can be. I have no idea how Daniels still has a job. I think they don't want to move either guy to be honest. I think they're content picking 1st the next 3-4 years. I think the 111 loss Astros or whatever ridiculousness they did in 2013 had more talent than the 2021 Rangers at this time.
  16. Someone like Snell? I'd expect to cost 70% of Sale. But thanks for being reasonable in this sea of madness. One winning season and everyone wants to trade the farm.
  17. Yeah Stanton is going to DH permanently. Young and Daniels can have fun when they get nothing for Lynn and Gallo. They're on crack.
  18. It all depends on how reasonable the Cubs are in their ask. I get that you start high in negotiations because you never know who will say yes to what, but some of you guys are on Uranus with your prices.
  19. BTW, if Jerry won't go 5/125 on Springer I'd think Darvish is out of the question as well.
  20. I'll take my chances that one of the kids steps up and go with Kluber and Quintana. Also, if most teams spend like a normal offseason it gives MLBPA all of the leverage in 2022 to call shenanigans about the owners crying poor.
  21. I'll hold on to my guys and pay money then. I think there might be 5-7 teams that are buying this winter and the remainder are standing pat and selling. I expect an extreme buyers market.
  22. In a normal offseason? Sure. This particular offseason? Probably not.
  23. Yu is 34 and is owed $23M/yr over the next 3 years. I don't think there will be a lot of takers. The value in the deal is entirely taking on the contract. Again, Cease+filler and that's it. Otherwise, Tom can pay him. Kopech or Vaughn is a complete nonstarter on any deal for these guys. Weaponize payroll space. Find out just how desperate owners are to shed salary.
