  1. Ok, then you don't get the poopsmith jokes either. Look up Homestar Runner. You remember the old poster known as The Cheat? That guy was a Homestar Runner character. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCMkbjxvwur30YrFWw8kpSaw
  2. Benintendi doesn't have much trade value either.
  3. Possibly. They're short on pitching, and Sale isn't due back until June or July. Benintendi has been pretty disappointing for them, though not as bad as Lopez has been for the Sox. They'd need to add a small amount, but there are guys running out of options like Adolfo and Rutherford that could be of use on a flier to a rebuilding team.
  4. I'd prefer to trade him to Boston for Benintendi.
  5. I'm done with ReyLo. Cease still hasn't pitched a full 162 so I give him more slack, however he has a lot of similarities to ReyLo, namely not being able to spot the fastball and inability to miss bats despite throwing fire.
  6. Yeah, Paxton is pretty good when healthy. Problem is, he's never healthy.
  7. Nobody wants Jerry dead. We want him to not be the owner of the White Sox anymore. We'd rather he suggest to the group that they sell the team.
  8. His medicals don't tell me the quality of the stuff he's throwing up there. I'd want him to face MLB hitting again before I do anything. He's someone I'd grab as a rental at the deadline if he's back and still Corey Kluber. Not a guy I'd sign without seeing his performance first. That changes if he's really cheap, and if they go for him I'd like to sign another pitcher as insurance in case he suddenly has become James Shields in a Sox uniform. At the very least I'd like to get Kluber in front of a rapsodo before signing him.
  9. Guys I'd target: Bauer Quintana Odorizzi Walker Had Gausman not received a QO he'd be on this list. He's not good enough to give up a 2nd rounder for.
  10. Still, you can't risk a Peavy situation. Hard pass. I'd have to see him pitch again, or he'd have to sign a 1 year deal that's pretty cheap.
  11. I'd stay away from Kluber as I thought he had a pretty nasty shoulder injury and I'd be concerned about severely diminished stuff. Let someone else take that risk. https://www.mlb.com/news/corey-kluber-shut-down-has-right-shoulder-tear
  12. Option A: Sign Bauer, roll with the kids Option B: of the guys on that list, I'd go with Quintana and Odorizzi.

  14. Completely different situation last year. They had time to look at their pitching. They hadn't proven they were good yet. Now they have. Go win games.
  15. I mean, it's not a guarantee that they've fucked it up that badly, but it's very possible. You want a bit of optimism? There it is. Let's see how the offseason plays out.
