  1. I'd absolutely love if Jerry has done a 180 and is going full Illitch.
  2. My guess is Cora. Say bye bye to Bauer though. Oh well, was probably a pipedream anyway.
  3. Fuck Ozzie. Hell no to that shit. I liked Ozzie but he's a selfish prick and continues to be one during his radio interviews. You don't bring someone back that quit on your team.
  4. Holy shit.....they did it guys! Hopefully this is good news for spending in the offseason. Also Do NOT hire Hinch or Cora.
  5. Yes, I did. I was advocating trading Seabrook and Hjalmarsson then. It wouldn't have been a full rebuild, but more of a retool, kind of like Boston. Their D would have been really bad outside of Keith but they needed to do it.
  6. Not really, if they would have revolted then they're dumb fans. Taking a step back from 2016-2019 and re-building the defense would have been the better option. They could have kept Teravainen and Panarin in that scenario as they moved on from Seabrook and Hjalmarsson. They still would have had an incredible offense and been fun to watch while finishing around 8-12 and hoping for lottery luck, otherwise taking the best defenseman on the board or trading down. Plus, they could have received some decent D in trade for Seabrook and Hjalmarsson. All they had to do really was trade Seabrook and Hjalmarsson and re-stock the defenseman pipeline. They could have signed some decent stopgaps as well if they wanted to.
  7. https://theathletic.com/2128190/2020/10/09/dominik-kubaliks-new-deal-and-corey-crawfords-fate-what-were-hearing/ To paraphrase, the Hawks were planning to buy out Smith but they can't because he's injured. This is just a colossal fuck up by Bowman, one that should cost him his job as the QO snafu cost Tallon his. I was in denial, as I refused to believe that a guy that built two cup winning teams was an absolute clown but I guess you haters were correct. Whack Bowman now. What an idiot.
  8. Just another season where the Bears win ugly games against a weak schedule. They'll win 8 or fewer games next season, same as it's always been for the last 30 years.
  9. Odorizzi is my cheaper target. I'd rather him than Stroman.
  10. I'm fine with Gausman as the 5th starter, not as the major signing. Dude is incredibly inconsistent. I'd rather go with Bauer/Stroman/Odorizzi(probably one of the latter two) as the major signing and Gausman/Quintana as the secondary starter position.
  11. Out of the Sox pitching prospects the only ones I'd definitely keep under all circumstances are Kopech and Crochet. Both guys have special arms. You find a place for that, unless they just keep getting injured. Any other guy is available in the right deal. Both Kopech and Crochet don't have the control/command issues that Cease does. \ It's really a shame that Kopech's UCL tore when it did because he was just starting to figure it out.
  12. He already signed with Seattle this week.
  13. They already signed Lamar Miller to the practice squad. Apparently practice squad signings are a formality for in-season FA due to Covid testing.
  14. They should have done it immediately after winning their last cup but the fanbase would have revolted.
  15. They should be fired, but they won't be. Pace has completely failed in the first round. Picked 3 times in the top 8 and whiffed on all of them.
  16. Committing Grand Larceny. Mack has 5.5 sacks over his last 16 games. He might be finished or it could be Pagano>
  17. Those three will only go somewhere if they want to. I'm fine with them rebuilding. They have some young pieces already in place.
  18. Benintendi is a busted prospect at this point too, he's only had one good season just like Lopez and they're both 26. Benintendi has 2 years of team control and Lopez has 3.
  19. Cease for Benintendi is a massive overpayment. Lopez for Benintendi is pretty fair.
  20. Way too late, but good for the Texans. I feel sorry for DeShaun Watson so far. They still have another year without a 1st round pick....yikes.
  21. ^^^^^ I doubt we see much movement in trading salary unless it's pretty close dollar wise, like within a million or two dollars. Free agents are going to be in for a rude awakening. There are going to be a lot of short term deals thrown around, and it wouldn't surprise me if decent players ended up unsigned on OD 2021.
