  1. Abreu thought there was no way that was caught. Can't blame him. Eloy smoked that ball.
  2. Help me Eloy Jimenez. You're my only hope. Seriously. Palka is hitting behind him.
  3. It's well deserved based on how much he was screwed last year.
  4. I'd rather be racking up the high draft picks. It's really that simple. QBs mean so much in the NFL. Either you have one or you don't. Unless you have a historic defense, the only thing that a team is doing by paying a mediocre (or even a good) QB is getting themselves in worse draft position. MLB has it right. Either you're in or you're out. If you're not winning anything might as well be awful.
  5. Did you forget that Chapman damn near blew game 7 for the Cubs? And they ransacked the NL that year. Also, if the Indians had a decent SP other than Kluber that would have been over in 5 games. Carrasco, Salazar and Bauer all got hurt. Hell if Bauer doesn't slice open his right hand fixing his drone they probably lose. It was incredible luck, just like Colon being unavailable for the Angels and Clemens getting hurt for the Astros helped the Sox in 05.
  6. Lol. It shouldn't be a radical position to have. Tier 1 QBs should be paid around 30M, tier 2 around 20M and Tier 3 12-15M.
  7. That's my point. At current prices, those guys are the only ones worth paying. I think that if your QB isn't on a HOF trajectory they're not worth it. If Matt Ryan was 28 years old I'm not even sure I'd pay him. There are about 8-12 QBs I'd consider paying and most are an easy no.
  8. They should let those guys walk. The difference between say, Dak Prescott and Case Keenum isn't that big. The difference between Prescott and Russell Wilson is huge. It's just stupid to give these guys that type of money. Flacco, Garoppolo, Cousins, etc. They're not good enough to take up that much cap space. The only way to get this done is to give GMs more job security. It's getting to the point where if a GM is doing a good job with the rest of the roster, they should get 2 QBs instead of one.
  9. For example, the Cubs in 2016 and 2017 would have been better off if they went and bought a closer and another SP, rather than trading for them. Trading players should be off the table unless you're opening a spot for a blocked player in the minors. And then you should look for old fashioned baseball trades. You don't trade prospects like Jimenez and Torres. Ever. I'm glad the Sox were able to take advantage of suckers. Also, the Red Sox didn't even have Sale past July last year and they still won the whole thing.
  10. Well, it looks like the Braves knocked Nova back to Suckville.
  11. Below average would be a massive upgrade over Eloy. He's Palka bad.
  12. It doesn't matter. He's hurting the team out there. You want to win games or not? Eloy is a joke in LF. He's also liable to hurt himself. He did it 4 separate times this year.
  13. He should. Why delay the inevitable?
