  1. According to Trackman that was 97.7 mph. Holy shit. Best prospect in baseball Giolito is back.
  2. I remember when they first became LAA we used to make the LAASWCUSA joke. Then it became the following: LAASWCUSANANWQESSOSMWLGVSCU Props to anyone else who knows what it means.
  3. The 2019 class was the first time in a long time I liked what the Sox did.
  4. Depends on the turnover situation. Last night, neither team turned the ball over until Trubisky tried to make something happen late.
  5. Have you seen the QBs on the Bears schedule? It's the Who's Who list of good QBs. They play: Rodgers(x1) Brees, Mahomes, Wentz, Rivers, Goff They play in the average category: Stafford(x2) Cousins(x2) Prescott, Flacco, hell, even Derek Carr and Eli Manning are average. The only cupcake on their schedule is Washington. It's going to be mentally taxing playing that many good to average QBs week after week. The Bears only chance to hold a team to single digits is Washington, IMO.
  6. You're probably right. I don't think the Bears will give up single digits the rest of the year either. They might equal last night, but they won't give up single digits. The only difference between the Bears and Packers schedule are themselves and the Bears play the Rams and Saints while the Packers play the 49ers and Panthers. The NFC North has a hard schedule this year. I think the Packers could get away with it vs. the Raiders. That's about it. The Packers probably score more than 10 points in every game the rest of the season as well, including at Lambeau vs. the Bears.
  7. Besides Amos, those are 5 top 40 picks in that secondary. It's really talented, and we know Amos is good already. The packers secondary has a chance to be the second coming of the LOB. Kevin King and Jaire Alexander are already really good at the very least.
  8. I remember that too. Trubisky made a lot of strides last year. That's why I was so disappointed last night.
  9. Ray Ray, I was with you at the start of last year, but I saw progress throughout the 2018 season from MT. Is he good enough yet? No way. But he's still relatively inexperienced. He was always going to take longer. Why you don't understand that, I have no idea. This is a make or break year for him. We should know one way or the other by the 10th game what he is or isn't. If he still struggles to go through his progressions by then, you're right. Heads should roll in that case. It's close to the end, but it's still too early. Rodgers looked like crap most of last night too, so I'm willing to give Trubisky a mulligan for that one. Also, GB's secondary is EXTREMELY talented. Don't underestimate that.
  10. He was, but we don't know if it was just rust or if he sucks. If he's still doing this in week 4-5, then we can declare him a bust. The Packers looked awful and out of sync too, but nobody's calling Rodgers over the hill. Also, everyone is underrating GB's Defense. They're probably really good. As good as the Bears? No. But that looks like a top 12 unit to me. The Bears generally are regarded as having one of the best offensive lines in football and they made them look like chumps.
  11. I don't buy player jerseys until mid-career, when I'm 100% sure the guy is good. I might break in xmas 2020 with Moncada and Giolito, should they sign extensions. I didn't buy a Toews Jersey until he had won 2 Stanley Cups. I'd buy a Mack jersey.
  12. This whole thing was doomed to fail. Trubisky was a project. He was drafted 2nd overall. Both are facts. Because of (1), (2) should have never happened. Pace has done a wonderful job with the rest of the team, but he missed with the QB. Badly. He's Jerry Angelo. Don't let him stick around as long as Jerry did. He shouldn't get that many chances. If this team wins fewer than 9 games Pace should be fired. It is inexcusable to waste this defense on Mitch. It's a fireable offense, really. They owe it to Mack to trade him after this season. He's never winning anything here if Mitch continues to suck.
  13. Yes. The Yankees, Cubs(Soler), Dodgers(Puig?), and Red Sox(Moncada) were all in the sin bin. If any one of them were out, the Sox never get Robert. I'm beyond shocked he didn't end up with the Cardinals or Astros, as they were the Sox biggest competition.
  14. It does matter, and that's why he shouldn't have ever been a 1st round prospect, let alone Pace be willing to trade as much as he did to move up one spot to get him. People are pointing the finger at the wrong man. This is 100% on Pace. If Mitch sucks this year it should be Pace's head on a silver platter. I hope George has the balls to whack Pace if this season goes in the shitter. If Mitch sucks, as good as Mack is that trade becomes indefensible. Those two moves were bold, and Pace put his junk on the table with them. You live by the sword, you die by the sword.
  15. At this time in 2017 I thought Hansen had a chance to be the best out of all of the Sox SP prospects. He was topping out at 99 mph and led the minors in strikeouts. He had just reached AA. It's unfortunate what happened to him in 2018. He got injured, got into bad habits, and never recovered. It's hard to repeat your delivery when you're 6-9. I don't think he's going to be protected in the rule V draft, and I do think someone's going to take a shot on him in the AAA portion. Wouldn't surprise me if the same happened for Rutherford. Both have a chance to do well elsewhere. Neither have shown enough to deserve a 40 man spot, but both still have considerable upside left if a team can unlock them.
  16. Do you think Moncada takes a 6 year, $110M extension? That buys out 2 years of his FA. He'd still hit FA at 30. Seeing how much Sale got paid after taking his money early, I think it could be doable. Moncada would be guaranteed $143.5 M in career earnings, including his signing bonus and 2 pre-arb years with the Sox, while still having the ability to cash in for more in the future.
  17. The injuries slowed it down. That is where the extra year comes from. Shit happens. let's move on from here. What I'm more concerned about is that they haven't been able to develop any surprise prospects outside of their first round picks and trades. Hansen looked good in 2017, but he fell apart completely the next year. That's about as close as they got. They traded one of their 3 best International signings since 2015. 2019 looks a lot different with a healthy Rodon and Kopech. That's 2 TOR arms, along with the emergence of Giolito.
  18. You can get a good look at a T-Bone by sticking your head up a butcher's ass...........I loved Tommy Boy.
