  1. QUOTE (mr_genius @ Oct 11, 2012 -> 08:57 PM) Obama's crony moderating this debate has spent more time arguing with Paul Ryan than asking questions. i just don't see why the GOP agrees to this type of stuff. She has cut him off three or four times and Biden is living up to his reputation. Is there a bigger ass in politics today than the Pepsodent man? How many lies has Biden told tonight? Fact checked afterwards I'm sure.
  2. QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Oct 5, 2012 -> 11:09 AM) An overwhelming majority of people are already decided, especially in the "likely voter" pool. The results, in aggregate, usually match up very well with pre-voting polls. Significant differences are usually signs of fraud if anything. Are you hedging a Romney win here with shananigans???
  3. QUOTE (Jake @ Oct 5, 2012 -> 07:44 AM) http://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2012/10...l?smid=fb-share So cutting tax rates 20% in the primaries and cutting tax rates 20% in the debate. No change there. Lowering regulations in the primary and good non-excessive regulation in the debate. No real difference there. Objectivity by the NY TIMES== No change there either.
  4. QUOTE (Brian @ Oct 4, 2012 -> 05:27 AM) As an Obama supporter, that was disappointing. Never went after Mitt. Just stood there and nodded as if what Mitt was saying was the truth and never went on the attack. Never brought up the 47%, never brought up what the unemployment rate and stock market were when he took office. It was as if his strategy was to sit there and wait for Romney to put his foot in his mouth and he never did, although most of what he said was garbage. Stock mkt and UE? Seriously? The Fed is the answer to the stock mkt. And the UE rate is, as has been said here before the participation rate is falling which inturn makes the UE rate fall. Iwould think Romney would relish the opportunity to smack that beach ball.
  5. QUOTE (mr_genius @ Oct 3, 2012 -> 09:34 PM) Good, Romney wins first debate. Even NBC has reluctantly conceded that point. Down goes Frazier! Wait to go Millard. One down two to go.
  6. QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Sep 28, 2012 -> 10:02 AM) The late 19th and early 20th centuries disagree. I'm sure it'd be easy for those lazy, irresponsible "victim" poors to find a job without having telephone service. Anyway, we can add the "OBAMA PHONE!" to the list of things like "Foodstamp President" and the Obamacare witchdoctor signs that are totally-not-at-all-racial. You forgot the person who was goona eit him some Obama Money. Add that one too. After all its just coming from his "stash".
  7. Anyone know where I can get my OBAMA phone?
  8. http://www.weeklystandard.com/blogs/shock-...ers_653149.html Surely these were an oversight.
  9. QUOTE (mr_genius @ Sep 26, 2012 -> 05:34 PM) i doubt it. if California was a swing state Obama probably would. everything is about politics to this regime. if Obama did bail out California other states would be pissed and that could cost the Democrat party in the next election cycle. He can just issue an executive order.....and so it is done... Romney's first actions as President should be to issue an EO to drill in every inch of public land feasible and every inch of ocean feasible. Build a pipeline from the Midwest to the east coast and build more refineries. Also issue an EO to use one type of gasoline nationwide. So when there is a refinery shutdown or accident it will not impact the price of gas as much as it does now. Then he can clean out all the political hacks that work at the Justice Dept. this may be the worst and most political DOJ Evahhhh.
  10. QUOTE (bmags @ Sep 26, 2012 -> 04:41 PM) Yes, a train linking the 2nd, 8th, and 14th most populous cities in the united states is going from "nowhere to nowhere". But the first portion is connecting here and nowhere at a hefty cost. And the final cost of this boondoggle will be well north of 100billion. Not sensible.
  11. QUOTE (Alpha Dog @ Sep 22, 2012 -> 12:45 PM) Like Obama's transcripts? Or almost anythign else to do with Obama's past? yeah, good tactic to take. When you have something to hide you don't release the info; at least that is what the other side tells us.
  12. QUOTE (Reddy @ Sep 22, 2012 -> 08:58 AM) i'm pretty sure Romney is the R candidate if I'm not mistaken. What is the point of telling what the Dems should do here in the R thread?
  13. QUOTE (Jake @ Sep 21, 2012 -> 05:05 PM) lol, they should really keep hammering after Romney's tax returns. I'd just make commercial after commercial about it, along with the quote from his own father saying that if someone won't show them, they have something to hide You are in the wrong thread. Take your s*** to the d side please.
  14. QUOTE (mr_genius @ Sep 20, 2012 -> 04:50 PM) they have raised taxes so high that most people do not buy that particular product in the city anymore. typical dumbass politician move. just wait for the solution to make up for the lack of tax revenue; raise taxes on cigarettes again. Wait. Let me write this one down. Higher taxes= lower tax revenue. Got it. Would never have thought of such an idea. Someone should ask the outstanding, hard-working city council about these facts. But they are probably too busy figuring out who they will tax next.

  16. QUOTE (Reddy @ Sep 19, 2012 -> 01:03 PM) Romney in debt with his campaign http://politicalticker.blogs.cnn.com/2012/...gn-sources-say/ Romney can't even balance his own campaign and he want to balance our country's debt. He took out a loan because he could not use funds until after the convention.. Let's get real here, ok?
  17. QUOTE (bigruss22 @ Sep 18, 2012 -> 04:10 PM) I have Aetna as well now, really wish I could go back to Blue Cross Blue Shield as they have been amazing to my family, but at my employer it is Aetna or United (who wouldn't even pay for my mom's diabetes medicine after claiming they would and then fighting with her for weeks). Hoping when I have issues in the future that they are fine to deal with. I have UNH and they have paid for all of my son's supplies/medicine including an insulin pump and cgm. The only thing they tried to do was cut the number of test strips from 300 a month to 200 a month. But with a doctor's letter, we appealed and they okayed the usual supply. Did they give a reason for denying your Mom's medicine? You have to wonder why they would deny a medicine with the chance of paying a much larger hospital bill down the road if a customer became very sick. Makes no sense.
  18. QUOTE (Y2HH @ Sep 18, 2012 -> 11:15 AM) Yet another nonsensical statement from you. How about putting it in the pocket of a NON-union middle class guy who runs his own handyman business, who woud do the SAME quality of work for 1/10th the cost? Oh, no, we couldn't have that...not from a union loving goon like yourself. Must have Davis Bacon
  19. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Sep 18, 2012 -> 10:50 AM) The biggest difference here is that every single taxpayer in the City of Chicago has a vested interest here. They should get a say here. Ah yes the beauty of negotiating against yourself. Thank You JFK.
  20. ROGULSKI: Why are you here? WOMAN #1: To get some money. ROGULSKI: What kind of money? WOMAN #1: Obama money. ROGULSKI: Where’s it coming from? WOMAN #1: Obama. ROGULSKI: And where did Obama get it? WOMAN #1: I don’t know, his stash. I don’t know. (laughter) I don’t know where he got it from, but he givin’ it to us, to help us. WOMAN #2: And we love him. WOMAN #1: We love him. That’s why we voted for him! WOMEN: (chanting) Obama! Obama! Obama! (laughing) LMAO!!!!!! Who knew the Prez had a stash? Another "A" student in Government 101.
  21. I think we should start by putting f***ing bullets in our marines guns that are on duty at the embassies.
  22. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Sep 13, 2012 -> 05:08 PM) Assuming the Fed is willing to allow an inflation snap-back to happen (it isn't) or that the inflation snap-back is so fast that the Fed can't react (seemingly without historic precedent). So to is there balance sheet and the amount of easing they have undertaken. The Fed is almost the entire MBS mkt. They purchase 77 of the 80-90 billion of MBS every month.
  23. Egyptian President Mohamed Morsi asked the Egyptian embassy in Washington to take legal action in the United States against makers of a film attacking the Muslim Prophet Mohammad, the official state news agency said on Wednesday. Morsi had requested the mission take “all legal measures”, the MENA agency said, without giving further details on what that might involve. (Reuters) This guy is clueless....
  24. QUOTE (G&T @ Sep 13, 2012 -> 10:13 AM) Something is suspicious about that. Are they zeroing people who didn't take the test? Can you get into college with an ACT in the teens? Polls the USC football team................Yes that is affirmative.....
  25. I heard on radio this morning that health insurance ends Oct 1. Anyone know if this is true for the teachers?
