  1. QUOTE (balfanman @ Dec 3, 2013 -> 09:16 AM) I don't get the hate for him either. He seemed to be a guy that got the most out of the talent he had. I wish we had a few others on the White Sox who even came close to getting the production out of their talent that Dylan did! ........Beckham, Viciedo, Flowers, etc. Ramirez.... DeAza.....Nate Jones...
  2. I think he's worth a flyer, nothing to lose if they do
  3. QUOTE (flavum @ Nov 26, 2013 -> 03:15 PM) If I could vote for 16 players: Bagwell, Biggio, Bonds, Clemens, Glavine, Kent, Maddux, Mattingly, McGriff, Morris, Mussina, Piazza, Raines, Schilling, Thomas, Trammell I'm easy, but I wouldn't vote for Edgar Martinez, Larry Walker, Sosa, McGwire, Palmeiro, or the rest. You would vote in 2 admmited cheaters but leave Edgar out? It's a hell of a ballot tho. If Morris gets in than Mussina does too. I would go: Thomas, Maddux, Biggio, Glavine. And making cases for Piazza, Trammell and Mussina. And maybe Clemens based on his numbers before the steriods in which he dominated from'84 to '93 Actually Mcgriff should be considered 493 HR ain't no cakewalk.

  9. D. It's his opinion.. j/k I'm not going to argue stats, but i too think salty ain't that good. Strikes outa bunch, can't trow, ca't hit lefties. For 10 mil, i'd bring AJ back for probably less. And people here know i wasn't too fond of AJ his last few years here....
  10. Ok, than i'm mixed up on my guys. Thanks fir the correction

  16. Salty ain't too good, from what I recall. How is his defense and game calling?

Yeah that's why I asked. I was wondering who Vic was. Last years team is so easy to forget that I was trying to think if we had anybody new...

QUOTE (Eminor3rd @ Nov 12, 2013 -> 11:49 AM) Viciedo? Sure hope not, he said CF. Viciedo and CF don't go together

QUOTE (GreenSox @ Nov 11, 2013 -> 08:57 PM) Who says I want to spend a ton? Don't need to spend a ton to improve on OF defense or to improve CF. The D was awful last year on this team. And who says we're in transition? We just made a big FA signing and we have a number 1 starter. I would probably keep DeAza, absent a good offer for him. Nothing wrong with a little depth. And if we can somehow move Dunn, he could play some DH and spell Vic in CF. Who is vic?

Stros got altuve at second so no need for gordon. Santiago they might consider
  22. Or that robin Ventura had retired the year before..
  23. Can't blame coop if the pitcher is hard headed. I think I heard Grilli saying he was sorry he didn't take good advice from different people earlier in his career. I think the only guy coop wasn't successful with was Masset. Even the great Leo mazzone couldn't do much in Baltimore. Hey we could have flava-flav back...

QUOTE (Cubano @ Nov 2, 2013 -> 03:08 PM) They were product of the aluminum bat era and a lesser international quality competition except the USA college teams and San Juan Senators game. The new guys have played with wooden bats only and against better competition. Not saying old guys were bad...
