QUOTE (ZoomSlowik @ Dec 24, 2012 -> 01:47 AM) Has anyone ever used any of the free online youtube to MP3 converters (just google that if you aren't sure what I'm talking about)? I'm curious to know how well they work and how careful I have to be to avoid destroying my computer. I've used Youtube downloader for quite some time and it's never effected my computer. Really simple to use.

QUOTE (Jake @ Dec 23, 2012 -> 07:59 PM) A permanent solution for a temporary problem Exactly. I'm battling through some deep depression myself but I know its temporary and when I kick it I'll be that much more happy knowing where I came from.

Well down go the Giants....Hopefully the Pack don't sit Rodgers. -
QUOTE (The Ultimate Champion @ Dec 23, 2012 -> 05:05 PM) Kubel is a tread water move. I have no problem with these moves as long as they are attached to other moves which deepen the talent roster in 2014 and beyond. This division still sucks compared to the West (Hells Angels alone) and the AL East... we can win with a s***ty roster comparitively. But we can't lose focus, and we have to create a long-term window supported by good, young players. Please Rick Hahn, get off your lazy ass and do something already. You're embarrassing us. Or at least me. Patience mon frere. If Kubel really only costs the Sox relievers like some have said on here you do it with the idea they already have a deal in place for one of the other OFers.

QUOTE (Sox1 @ Dec 23, 2012 -> 05:07 PM) I've written this season off, the Bears can't beat SF or GB If they're healthy, which getting back Melton, Bennett, and Jennings this week certainly helps, they sure can. IMO -

QUOTE (Sox1 @ Dec 23, 2012 -> 04:02 PM) I hope the Bears new coach is Cowher If they go with a defensive guy they better bring in a damn good OC. All I want for next season is a better Oline and better offensive play calling. -

QUOTE (Athomeboy_2000 @ Dec 17, 2012 -> 02:10 PM) The Bears path to the playoffs: Scenarios that would put Bears in playoffs with a 10-6 record: *A Vikings loss and a Giants loss. *A Vikings loss and two Seahawks losses. *A Giants loss and two Seahawks losses. *A Vikings loss and neither the Redskins nor Cowboys win out. *Two Seahawks losses and neither the Redskins nor Cowboys win out. I'm just going off this. But I see what you guys mean. The Bears are better off with the Skins or Giants winning the East. -

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Dec 23, 2012 -> 03:42 PM) The Saints (and the Cowboys coaching staff) are on the verge of doing the Bears a solid favor. What the boys do doesn't matter because the Bears hold the tie breaker....The Vikings winning could spell the end of Bears playoff chances. If the Pack decide to sit Rodgers I think Minnesota wins again next week and get the last WC spot -
Well with the trade deadline here I wanted to make another drunk move...(I swear I dont drink much but my cousin got me a few bottles of rumchata so drink it if ya got it) The Minnesota Twins offer Adrian Beltre 3B-29 (82) Denard Span OF-25 (71+) David Winfree RF-23 (70++) Matt Guerrier RP-30 (81) Blair Erickson RP-24 (75+) Oswaldo Sosa SP-23 (72+) Charles Nolte RP-23 (71+) Anthony Swarzak SP-23 (50++) Deolis Guerra SP-19 (46+++) to the Chicago Cubs for Alfonso Soriano OF-33 (88) Jeff Samardzija SP-24 (67) Soriano's numbers are redirkulous...Leading the league in HRs and RBIs and he's 11th in average (Mauer's leadin the league)...That 3-7 record over the last 10 really ticked me off. oh and then The Minnesota Twins offer Nate Schierholtz RF-25 (82+) to the Atlanta Braves for Mike Aviles IF-28 (78)

QUOTE (Baron @ Dec 22, 2012 -> 09:05 PM) Steve Gilbert @SteveGilbertMLB Possibly. They would like to add outfielder. RT @ImDaBaron White Sox in talks for Kubel? https://twitter.com/SteveGilbertMLB That right there tells me they already have a few offers in one of their outfielders. I don't think they make this move unless they do. I kinda doubt they'd trade anything of value for a platoon player and unless they plan on moving Dayan to 3B there's no room for all 4 of them.
-
QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Dec 22, 2012 -> 05:03 PM) The Sox talking Sanchez up was probably an effort to raise both his trade value and to help them see if someone would offer something big for anyone else in their IF. If they go into this season with him as a starter, it's a rebuilding year. At the best he should be a year away. Gotcha.

QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Dec 22, 2012 -> 04:45 PM) Yuck on Alexei for Kubel. QUOTE (chw42 @ Dec 22, 2012 -> 04:46 PM) Way to make a hole on the infield when we technically have no holes in the outfield. Plus, I don't think AZ wants Ramirez anymore. They didn't even want Asdrubal Cabrera. They got their man in Gregorius. Well once again, I said depending on how the Sox view Sanchez. I don't follow the minors close enough to know whether or not he's ready, I just remember hearing he had an awesome year and some rumblings that he may be considered for a spot in the lineup this coming up year. AZ is pretty well stacked everywhere else, they don't need an OFer or SPs so that's the only logical trade I can think of. Looks like they can use Thornton but I don't think a package around him would be enough. Thornton+ for Parra??

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Dec 22, 2012 -> 04:18 PM) Of course, my problem with this is...it's an incredibly difficult set of trades to pull off. You add Kubel, suddenly everyone knows the Sox are going to be forced to move an OF and find a SS. There not only has to be the 2nd and 3rd deals available, you have to be able to pull them off without having the price change. 3 way deals are hard enough, this one is set up requiring basically a 4 way deal. Otherwise, you have 3 consecutive trades you need to pull off. If it could be done it might work...but it's so complex it's hard to fathom it happening. I'm game with giving SS to Sanchez if they can't find anything else. We're already giving Flowers a chance to prove himself so why not Sanchez who's shown he can hit in the minors. Really all you'd have to do is find a trade partner for Dayan ahead of time (I'm sure there's been discussions). You don't HAVE to trade Floyd unless they get back a SP in the Dayan trade.
-
Once again depending on how the Sox view Sanchez I'd def make a Kubel for Ramirez trade. Then use Dayan to upgrade at 3B/SS/2B/C or SP then use Floyd to upgrade at one of those positions. In that scenario you all of a sudden go from 2 LH bats to 4 (Sanchez is a switch hitter).
-
QUOTE (chw42 @ Dec 22, 2012 -> 02:20 PM) Marco Bellinelli...I hope this stretch you're on is not a complete fluke. Because this kind of play is exactly what the Bulls need when Derrick Rose gets back to strength. Thibs gets the best out of his players and Marcos best is exactly what this team has needed.
-
I see we're already discussing Kubel here....AZ wouldn't want to take on another OFer and I'm not sure they'd want another SP so a Tank or Floyd trade probably wouldn't work.... They may want Lexi, and depending on how the Sox view Sanchez I think I'd do that. Flip Tank for an upgrade at 3B/2B/SS/C and then call it an offseason.

Idk if MLB memes on facebook is a reliable source but they said Cody Ross to the DBacks, 3 year contract. That doesn't make much sense...They would now have Ross, Upton, Parra, Kubel, and Eaton. Gimme some Jason Kubel PLZ -
That's 2-0 vs the #1 team in the east...Without Derrick

Awesome news in this boring time on the board...I'm gonna predict he comes back Jan 19th, the first game of a 4 game home stand.

QUOTE (klaus kinski @ Dec 20, 2012 -> 10:00 PM) Flowers couldn't hit in AAA when he DID get his at bats. A step back for the Bland Sox Ya that .820 OPS in AAA is absolutely turrable...shame on the sox for giving him a chance.

QUOTE (Jake @ Dec 20, 2012 -> 07:13 PM) Flowers is our catching prospect. Sox fans want us to develop prospects then hate when we let go of a 36 year old catcher to let the kids play. We have a few other guys in the minors that look like they'd be replacement level catchers. This. Flowers was a top 100 prospect 2 years in a row before getting called up. Can't gauge what kind of player he's gonna be when he's NEVER had consistent playing time in the bigs.
