these threads are getting dumb. the sox have been putting money into the team, now whether or not they are putting it in the right places is debatable. and garland just reupped last aery right, to a three year extension? that means we have him through next season ('08), and vasquez is under contract through '09. is the count '09 or '08? we still have time after this year to trade away count an vasquez to free up money for garland. so please stop saying its a given that if we trade buehrle we are trading garland next. i know garland was rumored to be in many talks but maybe that was to free up money to sign buehrle. but now that we know mark isn't signing with us, or it doesn't look very promising, we trade buehrle free up some money, get a big time FA and sign garland to another extension before next year. i know highly unlikely but possible, imo.

i think the game is really being played before the offical game through the end of next month.

there is no way the white sox get mark if they trade him this year.

i think they are keeping dye off the dl to be able to trade him. i don't know how i feel about a jones trade. he isn't going to help us get anywhere but the cubs are looking to deal him so might be able to get him really cheaply and he could be a stop gab for the rest of this year and next year if none of our prospects feel like stepping up before then.

there is no way to can extend him right now. and we do need a good bench coach to help ozzie out.

i think if we lowball him and let him go back to sliding on tarps we can get him.

i feel bad for grindy. he wasn't god, as some here liked to say and/or imply, but he worked hard. hope he gets well soon. i also hope we bring up anderson and he starts hitting around .270 - .280 which i believe he can do. then when erstad is ready to come back he can play left. we might have a good outfield again then.

So apparently if you think somebody else is a better option at a position, you automatically root for the current player in the position to fail. i am glad you guys made me realize this.

yeah i am still here and i still would rather have anderson starting in center everyday over the grinder. though we would be in a even worse spot for a lead-off hitter with pods out. f*** even with pods in.

don't let it fool you, the team's biggest strength has and will be starting pitching. our offense proves that just about everyday this year, all of '05, and even in '06 when we couldn't make the playoffs because what should have been our strength sucked ass. i wonder how long people are going to say wait until our offense shows up. when is that going to be? it would be like if in the movie 300, the spartans just waited for reinforcements instead of kicking persian ass. i know corny reference but its all i got after a 12 hour shift at 230 in the morning in the middle of the ocean. somebody needs to step it up here. whether it be paulie, dye, gooch, or even kenny making a deal that jump starts this team. and no we, the team and fans, shouldn't wait for it to happen. everybody on that team needs to do better. and kenny needs to be shopping to get that player in here, without assuming someone will step up. i hope that post makes a little sense.
