i don't think its that big of a deal at all. you never stop cheering for your hometown team. i wouldn't even care if he went to one of their regular season games wearing a cardinals hat, as long as he wasn't missing anything the white sox needed him to do, like practice or a game. my opinion, it would be nice if your favorite team is the team your playing for, but f*** thats not always going to be the case. i don't expect every line worker at the ford plant to drive a ford, and have a ford for every member of thier family. and if it wasn't for the employee discount, i bet even more wouldn't drive the fords. same difference.

truthfully the one of the only moves i would make is trading garcia and pods for a leadoff hitter and another back up outfielder. everybody else i would leave the same. if that makes sense. EDIT: one of the other moves would be to imporve our f***ing bulpen. EDIT II: my girlfriend would like me to point out i have to be a little drunk now a days to read these boards. i think we all know why that is.

we have a starter in our pen, that we will not trade. we have to make room for him somehow. garcia is the best fit to be gone in the offseason. so yes i say trade him.

i think everybody can (or should) agree that this team is going to change after this season. one, maybe two, of our starting pitching will be gone. pods will be gone. and kw will make a trade in there for something, that will probably involve someone (other than the one or two starters). but i don't see crede leaving anytime soon. i mean if you keep bmac and garland, you have to keep crede, don't you?
