  1. looks good. don't know if its possible or even worth the time but maybe when the line-ups are announced for the current days game, put it up there somewhere, under the soon to be countdown.
  2. according to the times blurb on this some sox players voted for aj as a joke, they also speculated others did as well.
  3. Sit big Thome tonight and let Gload get a few ABs before we head to the NL parks and might need him.
  4. in my honest opinion, pablo's bunt was stupid. if the A's field that right we might lose that game. but sometimes stuff works out for you, and it did there with pablo.
  5. Going to game tomorrow and am going to cheer him when he gets up to bat and when they do the pregame intros (lineups) on the big screen. to me there is no reason not to.
  6. won't be there tomorrow but will give him a standing o when he is announced on tuesday and probably at his first at bat. he was the white sox for over a decade. most feared hitter in the 90's, especially pre-strike. I even hope he hits a couple of dingers while the white sox score alot more and win the games.
  7. I just did the edit option in one of the threads and that is pretty f***ing cool. Just letting you guys know that you are pretty much the s*** right now and I am drunk so take it as you will.
  8. "You say your are on the same side but you tell him to shutup. Do you really think its a good idea to tell other people to shutup with only 25 posts... I mean unless your looking to get banned." Oh God here we go again with the post count numbers. The guy has a point with that stats, but I disagree with him. I think a groundball out has a lot better outcome than a strike out just because of the confidence factor, which most sabermetricaticions (is that a word?) tend to forget about. If I strike out against pitcher A then I feel bad and my teammates feel bad, but not as bad if I made contact, preferably solid contact against the pitcher A. It also gives the batters behind me more confidence that this guy is hittable and that you just need to focus and hit it in the gaps, corners, up the middle. I am in no mood to look up that stats on that, or even feel like ever I bet because that is way to much work for not being paid for it, but I stand by that opinoin until somebody proves me wrong. EDIT:This edit option thing is the s***, but....I have 37 posts that is amazing to me. That is all.
  9. QUOTE(Flash Tizzle @ May 9, 2006 -> 11:10 AM) I'd hate for any decision concerning Haegar's promotion to wait until later this evening. He should be in Chicago by 7 pm, resting in his hotel room preparing for tomorrow. Not leaving Charlotte at 7 pm and arriving in his hotel room around 1am. I would figure they are in the process of bringing Haegar up to Chicago anyways right now, start or no start, just in case. I also am pretty sure, gut feeling, that KW and Ozzie have already made their decision not to start Jose tomorrow. Just seems like Ozzie's style and why risk anything to you best pitcher right now.
  10. ^thats what my dad and brother did with two other guys. got ws tickets out of it. got 4 season tickets, each guy gets 20 games, with each person getting one ticket for opening day. not a bad deal. got seats 2 rows up from the sports bar. thats the racket you need to get in on. but put your name on the list. if they call you with tickets and they are out of your price range tell them no thanks. i am sure you will still be on the waiting list just for different priced tickets. and i am sure they have that on the application or whatever you fill out. i would assume stub hub would be more expensive for two reasons: 1. why would somebody sell tickets for less than face value, esp season tickets and 2. with the fee associated with stubhub that puts more cost to the tickets.
  11. doesn't really bother me here in missouri and being a college student and usually up that late anyways
  12. you should be able to pick up the wgn games no matter what, i would believe that the national feed of wgn is a regular channel. and all the games for chicago sport teams on wgn are the national feed.
  13. get your major league work in while you can logan. i like this decision by ozzie. why not leave him out there and save the bulpen just in case for tomorrow. and he seems to be settling down, after 6 outs.
  14. i think ross gload said in big bold letters, "let me play in some more freaking games." and logan is saying, "please send me back down to the minors." and with all these guys we are hitting tonight, what is it 4 tonight, we are going to clunked tomorrow, i think.
  15. "Ah, cool. I'm starting there this fall. Purdue Engineering Class of 2010! " screw that University of Missouri - Rolla Engineering Class of 2006. BTW, on a slightly different topic anybody know of some jobs in Dallas, TX?
  16. heads, pretty sure its been cleared up already, but you sig is now working for me too.
  17. hey heads, i can't see your sig, fyi. tried all my usual tricks (really just coping the url in my brouser and looking but it didn't work). its a red x and says "user posted image."
  18. how are the seattle radio guys? listening to this on the xm. what else you want me to do in missouri?
  19. i don't know if it was a joke. some of the kids from elmwood park actually dress somewhat like that when they go out clubbing. for the record i am not one of them.
  20. the cubs don't bother me too much, when they lose its ok, when they win its ok. i really don't care. its the cub fans that i can't deal with. but i am sure most cub fans feel the same way. best chirstmas present ever is giving your whole extended family dvds of the world series dvd. one just got up and left the party all angry. now that was funny. oh and your brother-in-law is right in some respects and others is not. the stadium should be pretty damn close to full on half price night when the team is as good as it is now. drunk annoying people suck ass, but drunk happy people rule. but the only time to b**** about those things is after the game not before or during.
  21. why did he get banned, except for being a douchebag.
  22. don't throw the ball back. don't do the wave. two basic rules that every sox fan should live by.
  23. everybody that played on that team should get one whether it be for 162 games or just a + of an inning. plus anyone that had an impact on the development of those guys, minor league coaches, trainers, etc etc.
