  1. One more chance for Abreu to extend the hitting streak. Let's hope he does it!
  2. f*** it, I wanna see him go for the CG SO. Haha.
  3. QUOTE (TitoMB @ Jul 26, 2014 -> 03:20 PM) Got a good feeling about this game. Expecting a gem from Sale. I love it when I get that feeling.
  4. K #12 on pitch #112 for Chris Sale!
  5. And that would make Sale the MLB leader in ERA and WHIP.
  6. QUOTE (Vance Law @ Jul 26, 2014 -> 05:58 PM) As of now Sale is the American League ERA leader. So he qualifies now? Is he enough ahead that he'll stay on the good side so long as he doesn't miss any starts? Or are we looking at another week of 'drop off after 2 games'?
  7. Anyone know the home attendance numbers for when Sale is pitching vs. when he's not? I know this is an away game, but I was curious anyways.
  8. Lol, I was just oogling over Sale's stats and I noticed he struck out 11 of 12 batters in 4 IP in AAA. Haha, poor AAA.
  9. Got a good feeling about this game. Expecting a gem from Sale.
  10. QUOTE (Charlie Haeger's Knuckles @ Jul 26, 2014 -> 11:30 AM) You know what I love about Jose Abreu... When he goes in a slump... its for a 3-game series and not 70 games like the rest of the Sox. he's a great hitter. it's going to be exciting watching him over the next few years.
  11. QUOTE (raBBit @ Jul 13, 2014 -> 10:51 AM) LOL no, their system is not any bit subjective and they have had it for at least 3-4 years. I am sure they have some system where a they can tell a HR wouldn't be a HR in x amount of other ballparks. For instance, when Gillaspie wrapped one around Pesky's Pole in Boston I am sure they could quantify that that specific HR would only be a HR in a few ballparks. I read an article on that matter. They also mentioned that he has one of the highest line drive rates in the league, which almost assuredlly accounts for a lot of those "just enough" home runs. If those "just enough" home run-line drives start hitting the top of the fence, they become XBHs. So, that's not all a bad thing. At the same time, he has the fourth best average fly ball distance, which combined with his high line drive rate says he's doing just fine.
  12. I'm shocked his OBP is as low as it is. If he starts getting some more walks, and can get that OBP up to about .375, he's a for-sure MVP at some point. Love it all though! This guy is a home run hitting machine.
  13. yay! That also ties him for the club record for consecutive all-star appearances (i think..)
  14. At least the bullpen hasn't had to pitch in 2 days...?
  15. This kid is something else. So glad I got to see him in his first game back, when he cranked that homer off of Kershaw. Thing of beauty!
  16. Soon, please. Let's get a real manager so we can stop wasting Sale's years.
