  2. QUOTE(SoxFan562004 @ Mar 7, 2007 -> 11:02 AM) I heard A.J. was there, who else from the Sox? Crede, Buehrle, Dye & Mackowiak

  4. It was in fact 27 games....that's odd.
  5. QUOTE(Buehrle>Wood @ Mar 2, 2007 -> 03:31 PM) What channel are these games on in Chicago? We won't have a game until the championship game i dont think.
  6. DANG! and i wanted to see where that X-Pac/Vampiro feud was going!
  7. QUOTE(longshot7 @ Feb 27, 2007 -> 01:33 PM) Dave was right - there were 8 spaces in the MITB graphic on RAW last night. Jeff went over, after Shelton took a hideous spill after slipping off the top rope. So right now it's Edge/Jeff/Punk/Booker and 4 more spots. Johnny Nitro cut a great promo on Melina, talking about how pissed he was that he lost to Punk, leading me to think there might be some angle to get him in there somewhere - either taking out Punk, or winning another match to get in. What would be a great way to go would be to put Matt Hardy and both Nitro & Mercury into the match. That way you could further the MNM/Hardys feud WITHIN the MITB match. If that happens, my pick for the last spot would be Randy Orton, to play up this feud with Edge. If that happens, it might be three tag teams with the partners fighting against each other in MITB. Interesting.... That would be a very good idea for the match...I still think Carlito's gonna play into this somehow.
  8. played the demo...wow. 2K finally gets a baseball game right
  9. QUOTE(SoxFan1 @ Feb 25, 2007 -> 03:43 PM) Is the current draft time OK with everyone? Could it be a little later? I believe i'm at work until 6, i'd usually do it at work but java acts funny there.
  10. QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Feb 22, 2007 -> 01:07 AM) I had a friend that was in Vegas for all this, and she said about the same things. The NBA, Las Vegas, and ESPN have done a good cover up so far, but more info is going to get out. My favorite quote about it was "It was the Hip Hop Woodstock". I wish I remember who said it, but whoever did hit the nail on the head. I believe it was Bill Simmons
  11. QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Feb 22, 2007 -> 01:00 AM) I don't feel like doing the work this late, just google Pierre Pierce and find his story from his days at the University of Iowa. Won't take long to figure out why I hate him. ahh ok, i thought i missed something.
  12. ehh...after reading I should of known it was written by Jason Whitlock.
  13. QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Feb 21, 2007 -> 11:44 PM) First of all, yes Jamar was on the bench. Now I know he was next to Carlwell, and Carlwell is being forgiving here....but when I saw Jamar, that was the lowest I've ever felt as an Illini fan. Ever, by far. Worse than 1-10 football seasons, worse than 33-2 losses, worse than 11th place in the Big 10 in basketball, worse than any recruiting loss. Jamar Smith is under 2 felony counts of which both have evidence so servere that he'll have to take a plea bargain to avoid jail time probably. He left his teammate for dead, drove drunk, didn't call 911, might have been stoned, left the scene of an accident, hid for 2 hours, and HE'S ON THE BENCH?!?! Bruce Weber has lost all respect from me, both as a coach and even as a person. Tonight proves that no player can ever take a punishment or comment of his seriously again (as if they ever did) and I'm officially against Bruce as long as he is here, record and recruiting be damned. He is absolute slime to let that kid be on the bench, basically say he's not suspended, and ignore the facts of the case. My guess after this? Jamar takes a plea, gets probation, redshirts next year, and plays 2 more years for this "class" coach. Bruce just threw himself into the same class of scum as Steve Alford tonight, and I'm amazed I just said that. Oh, and emotionally and mentally troubled MY ASS, they showed him smiling and laughing during the game. Gellin' like a felon. Please refresh my memory, why we putting Alford in the scum list?
  14. QUOTE(CanOfCorn @ Feb 21, 2007 -> 07:43 PM) What if Jamar is found innocent? Does that change anyone's mind? And before you go a-flamin' and say, "How the hell can that happen?!?!" I've got two words for you...O-J. Got one word for ya...Celebrity, I doubt Jamar has the lawyers + money to get out of this without any type of punishment.
  15. QUOTE(thedoctor @ Feb 21, 2007 -> 03:50 PM) i'd disagree with that. first off, we don't know what chester did or didn't do yet. this is mostly speculation. besides, i don't think anyone deserves to have the entirety of their character judged by one incident. that's just silly. ok, true...after reading my quote i may have sounded extreme. IF we find out that the speculation is true, then maybe some of what i said is true. But you're right to judge a man from one incident is harsh.
  16. ok, so what Chester did wasnt legally "wrong" but to leave your teammate/friend is just plain despicable. This just shows what kind of person he is...
  17. QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Feb 21, 2007 -> 01:27 PM) Also, in what could be the most bizarre twist, Brian is actually supporting Jamar through this situation. This certainly isn't insider info (facebook...lol) but I saw a link to a Jamar support group, clicked on it, and the 2nd wall post was from BC telling Jamar to hang strong and that he'd get through this. That is bizarre as hell to me considering what Jamar did to him, but I guess BC has a stronger and more forgiving heart than I do. The details just get better and better.... [/b] Unreal. This is better than a movie, someone get Oliver Stone on the phone. QUOTE(fathom @ Feb 21, 2007 -> 01:41 PM) Again, this isn't even close to being Jamar's first run-in with alcohol related criminal issues. I wonder if this might put a stop to taking 17 year old prospective recruits to bars on campus on their visits that you have to be 19 (I think that's the age) to enter. Very Believable, I have a friend who works as a guide at the school over the summer. I went to visit one weekend and some of the guys on the team invited us out to the bars or whatever. Brian and his roomate being the ones who invited us. Now Brian being 18 at the time and getting in doesn't suprise me since he's on the team. I'm not gonna get into names of who else was at the bar(s) with us. Let's just say i'm not surprised more names haven't come out yet.
  18. I'd say go to the apple website and try some of the troubleshooting tips if you haven't already. I had a friend who's ipod did the same thing and after using some of the suggestions on the site it came back on.
  19. QUOTE(RockRaines @ Feb 21, 2007 -> 11:32 AM) Bobby Jenks hit a ball over the fence and into the parking lot during the pitchers batting practice yesterday. That's It! We got our DH against lefties.
  20. QUOTE(SoxFan101 @ Feb 21, 2007 -> 10:56 AM) Was Luther Heads problems when Webber or Self was there? Weber was there for that one as well. I wouldn't be surprised to see this man gone as soon as the off-season.
  21. QUOTE(hitlesswonder @ Feb 21, 2007 -> 09:57 AM) Really, at this point the University Chancellor or President should just forfeit the remaining games and end the basketball season. And they should seriously consider firing Weber and his entire staff as well. You have at least 2 members of the team who left a severely injured teammate in a car and didn't call 911. You have an assistant coach who apparently didn't tell them to call 911 and didn't call himself. I really don't care about the underage drinking and drug use (as someone pointed out, that's a personal choice to do something that, although illegal, doesn't hurt anyone else). Driving while intoxicated and then leaving a severely teammate in a car in a attempt to cover up the incident(?) is inexcusable. Not that my perosonal opinoin means anything, but I hope that Jamar Smith doesnt end up in jail. It's apparently a first offense(?) and as bad as it is, others in similar situations (like our Presiident, who was fortunate enough not to wrap his car around a tree in Maine) have avoided serving time. In any case, I can imagine that doing a billion hours of community service would be better for everyone than sending a 19 year-old kid to prison to ljail to ive with people have committed crimes of aggression rather than one of recklessness and cowardice. He deserves a pretty harsh punishment, I dont care how drunk you are...why the hell are you leaving a teammate, better yet a friend unconcious in a car. Same with Chester, how does he nor McClain call 911...or how does Chester not help Brian...With teammates like these, who needs enemies?
