QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Aug 24, 2009 -> 07:40 PM) Its amazing how much s*** AJP gets around here. Wait until he's gone. He will be greatly appreciated. I've said this, I also think Brian has said the same. -

QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Aug 24, 2009 -> 05:18 PM) Not another Mankind/Dude Love/Cactus Jack thing, I assume. Correct Assumption. QUOTE (Brian @ Aug 24, 2009 -> 05:37 PM) I think with Punk's success in the WWE is opening the eyes of guys like Danielsen and see they can make it big in the E after all. True, as long as he's used right. 3 former HBK students (Lance Cade, London & Kendrick) were kind of given the raw deal after awhile.

I'm sure someone will tell me I'm wrong here... Thanks for 2005 Jose, now leave. Now. Don't sit in the dugout or clubhouse. Get a flight back to Chicago, go hang out or something. Your services aren't needed currently. -
QUOTE (The Critic @ Aug 24, 2009 -> 01:52 PM) I think Danielson did one jobber squash match for The E in the past. I'll reserve judgment on him until I see how they use him, but I haven't been that impressed by him in the little I've seen of ROH. Seems like just another guy to me. I'm surprised, because I would think you would like him since he uses a lot more mat-wrestling techniques. IMO, he's probably the 3 best wrestlers not signed to TNA or WWE. If you have time check out any of the matches he had with Homicide in 06 or his matches with Takeshi Morishima

If the sox don't come to play on this road trip, it'll be time to pick another team to root for in October. -

QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Aug 24, 2009 -> 09:14 AM) How did they do it? After Punk won, he stook over Hardy holding up the title. Then the lights go out, bells ring. Lights come back on, Punk looks worried but doesn't once he thinks that the 'Taker isn't there. Then he realizes as the Undertaker sits up that he's actually standing over the Undertaker. 'Taker chokeslams him, poses, walks off...crazy pyro.

QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Aug 24, 2009 -> 09:30 AM) http://www.sportsbybrooks.com/nice-tattoos...that-weed-25719 Basketball players are complete morons when it comes to weed. they are so open about it, they are going to more or less force the NBA to tough test them and start suspending people Oh yeah, and Michael Beasleys sew tattoo is super ghey, not super beas When I first saw this pic, I was too busy laughing to notice the weed on the table. At least he's not claiming to be Supersmart Beas. -
QUOTE (nitetrain8601 @ Aug 23, 2009 -> 10:36 PM) Got Summerslam today. Damn good PPV. Only bad match was Kane vs Khali. CM Punk and Jeff Hardy took some bad spills/hits. Orton vs Cena was really good too. Mysterio vs Ziggler was great. PPV of the year thus far. Ziggler looked good in losing, I expect them to have at least one more match next month. Swagger/MVP was fun, if only this meant one of these guys were gonna move up in the main event scene. Jerishow/CT was also solid, nice finish Khali/Kane = s***. no, really I took a s*** break during this. DX/Legacy was maybe the 2nd best match of the night, could make a case for MOTN. Legacy looked great in losing. Christian/Regal = just pushing the angle along Orton/Cena was definitely different. One of the more goofy endings i've ever seen but a nice twist. Early word is that the guy who ran into the ring towards the end was Mr. Perfect's son. Hardy/Punk = teh awesomez!!! hardy's spot with the swanton was off the hook, great ending, great psychology in the match. super mark out for the Undertaker at the end...can't wait for the Punk/'Taker feud to start up.

QUOTE (Whitewashed in '05 @ Aug 21, 2009 -> 04:02 PM) I go to school and I'm an IT Consultant. I hate school though so I can't wait to finish. A lot of people tell me I'll miss it... I don't see how though. By the way MHizzle, you have an awesome avi. Why thank you, but I think yours is a tad bit more awesome than mine.

-The UFC 103 undercard will be shown for free on Spike, Live. (I love this move.) -Yvel has not signed with the UFC. -Earlier in this thread I was told that the UFC had no control over who reffed fights. Big John says different...

QUOTE (Kenny Hates Prospects @ Aug 20, 2009 -> 09:07 PM) Have to add I'm still a bit disappointed that we're not going to see Velasquez-Carwin because I was really excited about seeing Carwin steamroll him and crash the hype train. Ben Rothwell is a solid fighter who definitely deserves to be in the UFC, but I don't think he's going to be able to do much with Cain. Cain is going to take this one and then everybody is going to say the same old s*** again, that Cain is the future and yadda yadda yadda. It was a fight that made absolutely no sense business wise. Why have your 2 best heavyweight prospects go against each other & have one risk being pushed back this early in their UFC careers? The better move would to be build them up at the same time, with Carwin he's already got his shot coming. QUOTE (SoxFanForever @ Aug 20, 2009 -> 10:57 PM) Agreed about Velasquez. Some of the hype these guys get after a few fights is pretty over the top. You know how it is though, one loss and everyone will say they knew it all along and he will be at the bottom of the heap and forgotten. I believe some of this is from the UFC hype machine. Some of their fighters aren't built up correctly anymore. From what I can remember, Jon Fitch would be the only fighter that earned his dues and made a name for himself until he got his title shot. You could say the same for Demian Maia currently.
