  1. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Sep 17, 2009 -> 10:37 AM) New Office and 30 Rock tonight? Yessir. As well as Community, which looks like it could be good as well. Also, It's Always Sunny is back.
  2. QUOTE (nitetrain8601 @ Sep 16, 2009 -> 07:18 PM) A Dream, The Watcher 2, '03 Bonne & Clyde, The Bounce, I Did It My Way, Diamonds Is Forever, Meet The Parents, Blueprint 2 are collectively better than What We Talkin' About, DOA, Run This Town, Empire State of Mind, A Star is Born, and Hate. You're right though, Jay turns 40 this year. Kingdom Come had a bunch of known producers. Only one who was semi unknown was Dj Khalil and maybe one or two other producers. It had Chris Martin, Just Blaze, Dr. Dre on there. In fact, the beats were superb on that album. I also thought it was underrated, but I could see why. The only tracks that I can listen to on repeat are Lost Ones, Trouble, Dig A Hole, Minority Report(very underrated song) and Beach Chair(very very underrated). American Gangster completely lost me though. Only hot tracks on there to me are Pray, Roc Boys(And The Winner Is), and Ignorant S***. Rest of the album was trash. Jay has always been production driven to me though. I don't think I've ever heard a song with a wack beat that was good of his. He's not that type of artist and he's always ensured he's worked with the best producers. Again, where he's failing nowadays are the beats, and then trying to be witty, but most of the time failing like Blockbuster. We're just gonna have to agree to disagree. Although you did pick some of the best tracks from BP2. I think Kingdom Come is probably his 2nd worst album.
  3. QUOTE (Kenny Hates Prospects @ Sep 16, 2009 -> 12:11 PM) You sound like a blind Rampage lover. Are you really questioning Cane's background and Cantwell's potential? Cantwell is only 22 and he's already a very well-rounded MMAer who is a fantastic athlete. He has a bunch of experience fighting at the highest levels under lots of pressure (including a UFC win already and retiring the WEC LHW title), and in his last fight he went three rounds with the buzzsaw that is Luiz Cane to force the judges. Cantwell is a prodigy who is developing very fast. Secondly, Luiz Cane is a f***ing beast. Just because you don't know who they are doesn't mean they can't come up with a way to beat Mr.Stand-there-and-try-to-box-without-checking-any-leg-kicks. The whole gameplan for anyone vs. Rampage is to move, throw leg and body kicks, and stay out of a brawl. You don't even have to be unpredictable either. If you can do that for three rounds then you can beat Rampage. He's not exactly a riddle in there. And dude, Rampage lost to Forrest Griffin and you're saying Lyoto needs to fight better comp? Seriously? Are Franklin, Thiago Silva, Rashad, Tito, etc. all cans or something? Forrest is a very good fighter for what he is, but Lyoto has beaten better fighters than that and he's still undefeated in his career. And also, what has Rampage done lately? He went 5 rounds with Hendo and I admit that was very impressive because Hendo is the s***. But he lost a decision to Forrest, he won a decision over Jardine that was still close late, and he KOed a slowed down Wandy who whooped the s*** out of him twice before in Pride. Rampage is not anywhere near the best LHW in the world and on pure talent and ability alone I'd have a very hard time putting him in my top-10 at LHW, let alone top-5, especially when you consider Mousasi and Anderson fighting there. Right now I'd say Lyoto and Anderson are about 2 levels above him. Mousasi, Rashad and Shogun are above him but near his level. Jardine, Forrest, Vera, Thiago Silva, Cane, Franklin, and Hendo are all right around his level, and he could have some serious trouble against Randy as well. Bones, Cantwell, and King Mo should reach him soon, and when they do they'll pass him quickly. Rampage is very good, but he's not even close to being the fighter he thinks he is. I'll admit, I love me some Rampage. But the guys you've picked have something in common. They're still developing, who knows if these guys will live up to the hype (see Vera, Brandon). I don't care what you say, Rampage never lost that fight against Forrest. Was it close? Yep. Did Rampage win it? Not really. Did Forrest win it? Not really. I feel in a championship, you have to beat the champion...Forrest came close, but he didn't do it. It seems as if your ranking guys on just talent and potential alone...I like to throw what they're doing currently into the mix. Not saying that Cane & Cantwell won't live up to it, I just wanna see it first.
  4. Hi, who the hell is Pavement?
  5. QUOTE (Kenny Hates Prospects @ Sep 15, 2009 -> 10:45 PM) I've seen all those videos and they only make me dislike him more. Rampage is no doubt an elite LHW fighter, but he's not as good as he thinks he is, nor is he the athlete he thinks he is, and it's all going to be downhill for him starting with Rashad who is going to knock his block off IMO. Rampage was dogging King Mo and I guarantee King Mo becomes a better fighter than Rampage ever was. The new generation is getting better and better, and by the time those two fight, if they do, Mo will whoop his ass. I'd say Rampage is top-5 still at LHW, but let's see how this new UFC Rampage does in a rematch with Shogun, or against rising stars like Banha Cane, Steve Cantwell, Johnny Bones Jones, Thiago Silva, etc. Vera's getting his confidence back too and he also has the style to beat Rampage. I just can't stand the guy. He thinks he's the s***, he thinks he the best, but all he does is talk trash and lately, dodge fights to do television and movies. He called Machida "La Cheetah" and ripped him for running, then he goes and runs from the fight because he knows Lyoto would embarrass his ass. Don't let your Rampage hate blind you, because you sound pretty foolish in this post. Cane? Really? Cantwell? GTFO. Again, Lyoto needs to beat some top 5 competition before I start crowning him one of the best in the world.
  6. QUOTE (nitetrain8601 @ Sep 14, 2009 -> 05:48 PM) And it really isn't much better than the stuff out this year. I actually liked Kingdom Come, but he has gone downhill big time. American Gangster was overrated immensely. Blueprint 3 is worse than Blueprint 2 as Blueprint 2 was filled with a ton of filler, but also had much better tracks than this album's best tracks. Meet the Parents > anything on blueprint 3. Last but not least, Jay is over 40 if you didn't know. I have to respectfully disagree. As an overall album BP3>BP2...and really, it's not even that close. Also, Jay's 39. QUOTE (lostfan @ Sep 14, 2009 -> 06:19 PM) I was really unimpressed with the Blueprint 3. It just seemed boring and uninspired, like Jay ran out of s*** to talk about. Jay gets a free pass because he's Jay, and because everyone else sucks so bad compared to him even when he is meh. I said this on facebook and got called a hater. I'm like umm ok I don't really see how I'm "hating" when I own all of his CDs. This has been my point, it's not great...it's just kinda good. I'd say it's in the middle of the pack when comparing his work.
  7. I had class, much rather be there than to watch this team at times.
  8. QUOTE (Brian @ Sep 14, 2009 -> 10:31 AM) And when he shakes the ropes. Intimidating. Don't forget about his rambo impression when entering to his pyro. The PPV was decent. Surprisingly, Cena/Orton was match of the night. Just a shame at how it ended.
  9. All I'm gonna say is, no one made Ol' Dirty Bastard apologize for bum rushing the Grammys.
  10. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Sep 14, 2009 -> 07:26 AM) Kanye West is a complete idiot. I cannot stick up for him anymore. Referring to the VMA incident last night. I didn't come here to stick up for him, but just to say I'm still laughing over it. I think I'm laughing more about how "pissed" fans are, he'll apologize & everyone will love him again.
  11. QUOTE (nitetrain8601 @ Sep 12, 2009 -> 02:24 PM) Disagree with Blueprint 3. Jay has fallen off immensely. All he does is boast saying he's the best and how everyone is trying to copy him and such and everyone else is just ruining hip-hop. Really Jay? The same guy who uses others' lines for his own benefit, the same guy who follows the trend moreso than anyone is calling everyone else a follower? Please. He's hypocritical and he tries to be thought provoking with his lyrics when in reality, he was better off rapping straight from his head, not trying to be witty. Or did he forget that just like he planned on doing most of the Blueprint 3 in autotune? He jumps on whatever is popular and try to claim he had the idea. He's a joke nowadays and his beat selection has gone downhill. J.Cole is better than him and he's supposed to be his protege. Anyway, Only Built 4 Cuban Linx II is a pretty raw album. Album of the year so far. Kid Cudi was nice. To me, it's 808's & Heartbreak done right. Not sure what you've read, but from the jump the Blueprint 3 was known as an "anti-autotune" album. Beat selection gone downhill? Do you have a version that I don't have or something? This just sounds like another rant that I've heard numerous times about this album. I know this isn't Jay-Z at his best, but it's still better than a lot of stuff to come out this year. I don't know if people are expecting the old Jay to come back from somewhere, but I'm pretty sure he isn't. He's almost 40, arguably the most successful rapper to do it & has basically done it all.
  12. Romo sets a career high with 353 yards today, along with 3 TD's. *raises roof for Cowboys winner.*
  13. You're fooling yourself if you think there's more than one worthy fight for Hendo outside of the UFC.
  14. QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ Sep 13, 2009 -> 11:58 AM) Starting Quarterback #1 Wide Receiver Starting Middle Linebacker Still win by 28. Thanks for playing. I love how some of you take him seriously.
  15. Cowboys up 6 @ the half. But the defense isn't looking too sharp. I wasn't expecting to see the game be this close today.
  16. QUOTE (NIUSox @ Sep 12, 2009 -> 12:23 AM) Going back to Biology...Silverfish are not fish at all, but actually insects. Jokes on you, that topic is long gone.
  17. QUOTE (SHIPPS @ Sep 12, 2009 -> 07:33 AM) Five minutes after this post I find out that they WILL both be there. s*** f*** s***. Well, good luck sir. I'd like a play by play of what happens when you run into both at the same time.
  18. QUOTE (Kenny Hates Prospects @ Sep 12, 2009 -> 10:36 AM) So Hendo is a free agent, and according to rumors he is asking for an immediate shot at Anderson as part of the negotiation process. If it has to be done then the UFC should do it to keep Hendo, but I'd much rather see Hendo-Marquardt first because that could be a GREAT fight. I read this. I agree with the guys at Fightlinker. If it's that big of a deal to him, make sure him and Marquardt get a BIG (well, bigger for them) payday just for this fight so everyone's happy. Or if Anderson decides what he wants to do with his life and it's not defend the 185 belt, then make their fight for an interim belt.
  19. QUOTE (The Critic @ Sep 12, 2009 -> 08:33 AM) Speaking of Punk, I REALLY hope they don't take the belt off him yet. He's doing a great job as champ right now, and it would be a shame to have the boring-ass Undertaker as champ again. The title adds to Punk's character, it adds nothing to Taker's. If they were smart, they'd ride this out...for a while. A while meaning at least 2010, I'd really like to see a full-fledged Edge/Punk feud.
  20. QUOTE (G&T @ Sep 11, 2009 -> 10:17 PM) Out of curiosity, what does "never really heartbroken" mean? I'm not trying to be a dick, I just don't understand. If I had to define it, I'd say that I understand that it's a major tragedy & everything surrounding it. But it's not something that hurt me personally. I don't know if that sounds bad or not...and I don't mean for it to, but it's how I feel.
  21. QUOTE (kjshoe04 @ Sep 11, 2009 -> 07:18 PM) maybe i'm a monster or tried to block it out or something, but i was never really heartbroken over it. interested as hell, but never deeply saddened. It was a complete tragedy and i feel bad for everyone that knew someone killed of course. Well same here, but I think it was still kind of heartless & greedy to say something like that.
  22. QUOTE (SHIPPS @ Sep 11, 2009 -> 09:24 PM) I am a f***ing idiot when it comes to the women in my life. I am seriously f***ing stupid with these chicks, what the f*** am I doing here? You get caught up with the girls from your job?
