  1. QUOTE(Al Lopez's Ghost @ Jun 28, 2005 -> 12:06 PM) I would like to congratulate Frank Thomas, as his first inning home run tonight will be the 1320th run in his career, setting the all time White Sox record. Haha, first time I read that i thought you said 1320th Home run of his career..I was thinking "What the hell is Lopez been drinking?"
  2. QUOTE(wsox08 @ Jun 28, 2005 -> 01:49 AM) Let's sweep the road trip and come home happy and still the best team..... Honestly, I'll take 3 wins in Detroit, and 1 in Oakland. I know it sounds bad, but that damn Oakland park has some weird hex on us.
  3. looks solid to me chimp. i dig the kinda highlight reel look of the photos.

If it involves massive destruction on film, I'm there. I'll go check it out this weekend but I will agree with what others said. Looks a bit overdone..overglamorized if you will.
  5. I don't doubt that Ozuna will be getting a bit more PT, but I don't believe that Uribe will be upended as the everyday SS. Ozuna has done an admirable job filling in at SS, but Uribes ability > Ozunas ability. Let Ozuna spell both sides of the left side of the infield.
  6. Stumbled upon this little find while bored at work. Its a guy that plays...well just click the link and watch it yourself, quite impressive. Beatles unplugged
  7. Was a shame too, because Garland pitched a great game except that pitch. Got some help up the middle with Ozuna and Willie throwing some great leather. 1 f***ing hit off of this Cubs team....was hard to sit and watch today.
  8. Blah blah blah....attack the players, attack the teams, DO NOT attack each other. That is all.
  9. Eww..just went and watched that myself...nice cut on the pitch, but it cut RIGHT into Pattersons wheelhouse...
  10. QUOTE(qwerty @ Jun 27, 2005 -> 03:03 AM) That is just....brutal. You not only get 1 hit, but your pitchers give up 16 runs? Guess it COULD have been worse for us today.
  11. The pitch to Patterson was a good pitch IMO. Garland didn't really put it anywhere that most would get anything on it, just Patterson hit a pitchers pitch. Tip your cap to him. The s***ass offense, on the other hand...glad to know that all-or-nothing swing philosophy is back in the heads of our hitters. :headshake
  12. Jermain Dye!!! number 15 and its 4-2 back to back
  13. Exactly why I said this game worried more than the other 2...Contreras is just erratic s***.
  14. Just a BTW for the Dye haters... .269 BA 12 2B 14 HR 39 RBI Dye is now at a point I consider offensively solid. A 275 average and I'm happy with Dye
  15. This is the one game of the 3 that I'm kinda worried about...I figured Garcia would step it up last night, and he was amazing. Contreras has the ability to do the same today. Nothing would make me happier than goin and taking the first 2 from this s***ty Flubbs team.
  16. QUOTE(Jabroni @ Jun 25, 2005 -> 05:34 AM) Freddy Garcia completely annihilates the Flubs and you bring up Mike Morse? Jesus... Funny thats exactly what I was going to post Jab.... Garcia just flat out dominated the Flubs, and we are talking about someone we traded to get him...
  17. QUOTE(Jordan4life_2005 @ Jun 24, 2005 -> 03:52 AM) That's nothing compared to Bond's the last 3-4 years. Ya but Lee is doing it with no enhancements... I'm just sayin...
  18. Jesus...Lee's OBP is .475
  19. QUOTE(knightni @ Jun 24, 2005 -> 02:08 AM) Vote for Pedro Is that thing painted on? "Sergio, how are you gonna get the Cubs to let you pitch friday?" "I will build them a cake."
  20. QUOTE(Jabroni @ Jun 24, 2005 -> 02:50 AM) So do we pitch around Derek Lee? The Brewers pitched to him yesterday and he went 3 for 4 with 2 homers. I hate the Cubs as much as anyone, but Derrek Lee is f***ing mashing right now...I don't want that guy to beat me, I'll let ANYONE else on that Flubs roster beat me before Lee.

  22. I'm worried moreso about the mayhem that will be on these boards if we *gasp* happen to lose a game against the Flubs. I hope people will behave at least a little bit, but I should know better.
  23. QUOTE(Jabroni @ Jun 24, 2005 -> 02:12 AM) Can we find his stats during a day game AT the Cell? W L ERA G GS CG SHO SV SVO IP H R ER HR HBP BB SO 0 1 4.85 2 2 0 0 0 0 13.0 14 7 7 2 0 5 8 Ask, and I shall deliver! Not much better.
  24. In terms of bullpens, I'm not sure alot of Sox fans realize what we have right now. We have 4 VERY good arms in the bullpen in Cotts, Marte, Hermanson, and Politte. And when Shingo gets his junk pitches over, we have 5. Not many teams can boast about having 4 bullpen arms with an ERA of 3.00 or under, and 3 with an ERA under 2! Politte, Cotts, and Hermanson to put it bluntly, have been remarkable. Therefore, we can stomach Vizcaino having issues getting it together moreso right now that we could have in past seasons, because he will get a stretch where he is on, its just the way relievers are. Sit back and enjoy this special 2005 season folks.
