  1. NICE!!! Makes my USC boys win over NC State look more and more impressive. Our problem is, we play a helluva first 36 minutes of every game, only to have no lasting power to finish teh game off. Take teh game against Miss St Wednesday. Up 12 at home over them with 4:30 to go, only to be taken to overtime, and lose. Then Saturday against Vandy, up 20, yes 20, only to let the Commodores close the gap and lose by 7. This team is gonna give me a coronary, but I know for a FACT that they can play with anyone in teh SEC, and hopefully they will get a favorable 1st Round Matchup in teh Big Dance. Please no Coppin St!!!!

    51 dates

Gattica....good one Jason....thought maybe I was the only person that had seen that movie As for Sandler, "The Wedding Singer" still ranks right up there with me. Probably not gonna see "50 First Dates" at the theatre, but it is definately possible when it hits HBO/Skinemax.
  3. I dunno....2 years ago, I take a chance on Jeff Weaver....now, I'm just tired of hearing his name in the same sentence as the White Sox. I'd rather have a guy like Paulie who had one bad year, but is a true White Sox type player, than a complete headcase like Weaver. Edited to say, welcome black jack!!!

    MVP Baseball 2004

Well, I've bought every All-Star Baseball that came out on teh X-Box, only to get extremely frustrated with it within a month. Seems like they never could find a decent batting interface. I'm ready to give EASports another shot. I had swore them off when they came out with the last version of Triple PLay entitled plainly "Triple Play Baseball" It was weak beyond definition. We need a good baseball game out, and the authentic minor league teams alone is a HUGE selling point to me.
  5. Well, this one tonight hurt more than any so far this year. Up 66-54 over Miss St with a little over 4 minutes to go, and let Miss St come all teh way back and go to OT. Then, only hit 1 of 6 shots in the OT. 2 games in a row that USC has let slip away from them.
  6. I have 2 words to explain a big reason for this: Don King The source of alot of the problems that have taken the boxing industry down a bit.
  7. Jesus, who signed Theo Freakin Ratliff to 10 mill per? Was KW in the NBA before baseball??

PA, I'd like to think that you just forgot to add my named to the "always tease me" list. I've been doing it for months

    WHOOO

Are they as good as Ben Folds Five?? Sorry PA, couldn't resist that one.
  10. at this point, I'll remind you of a Dallas mistake IMO. They had Quincy, and Anthony Wright as the 3rd string. Anthony IMO never got a far shot at the job, and he deserved one. They decided at the time to go with thee ever successful Chad Hutchinson and Clint Stoerner. Good call guys.

And I'll add to PAs post something he forgot to mention: You all know nothing about music. I only wish you knew as much stuff about music as I've forgotten!!
  12. Mr. Rasheed "C'mon Ref, gimme another f#$#ing technical" Wallace. No chance I go get that guy. I understand Wesley Person is serviceable, but you ive up Abdur-Rahim? The Hawks are destined to be a bottom feeding team for years to come.
  13. I'm pretty sure the Falcons are gonna go DB...I mean, their secondary is horrendous. Buchanon is on a decline since his injury. At WR, Price should show hos ability with a healthy Vick next year, Finneran when healthy is steady. No reason to get a WR
  14. Holy Hell.......Steve, freaking fantastic work!!!! Hehe, thats good stuff.

hmm....i have Capn12.......and thats it.....i feel so unimportant!!! i havent created any alter-egos
  16. The perverbial "defining our team" game for my South Carolina boys is Wednesday night at home against Mississippi State. Most 'experts' have questions how good this USC team is, with a weak non-conference schedule. A win over a much-ballyhooed Miss St team would go a long ways in terms of SEC standings. It would put USC back into a tie with Kentucky atop the SEC East. I'm ready.
  17. Abbey Road still gets mucho airplay in my CD player. Hard to believe its been almost 25 years since Lennon was killed. As for the teeny-bopper early music comments...well, think about it this way. Thats yet another influence that the Beatles put on modern music. These days, to break into the commercial music industry, you have to make music that is appealing to the overall population first off. Music that will get airplay, simplistic styles and easy to remember lyrics. Then, when you have the perverbial "populations attention", you can start to make music that YOU feel is important to YOU. It happens all the time in modern music now, and it happened in the early 60's when The Beatles were touching down in the United States of America for the first time. "And in the end, the love you take.....is equal to the love....you make."

Guess I'm officially 3rd in line on the Beatles train. Been defending them as long as I've been on here. Too bad I have to work through Letterman, I woulda liked to have seen it.
  19. Major props for posting pics of Lauren.. Much better Rex, they showing up now.
  20. This is some nice freakin work The Cheat. Maybe when you get caught up, you can touch mine up a bit.
  21. I've been stuck on that damn Drug known as EverQuest for about 6 months. So addictive, I don't even play my XBox anymore...
  22. All I can say is ouch....my boys went to Rupp Arena, held Kentucky to under 40% from the field, get the last shot to try and win......and lose...by 1 point. 65-64. And as a reward, they get to play Mississippi State on Wednesday night. Coach Odom has our team of youngsters playing some inspired hoops. At 19-4, all looks pretty good right now.
  23. Sometimes apparently its just the "in" thing to do....to say, "Wow...the Beatles are overrated." Most of the folks who know something about music can attest to the sheer beauty that was a Lennon-McCartney composition. Great musicians? No, not really. Great vocals? Most of the time, but not God-like. Point is, its hard to question the sum of the entity known as "The Beatles" considering what was accomplished from the early days in The Cavern Club right up to the Abbey Road rooftop concert. No, they were by no means the best musicians ever, but the music that they released from 1964-1970, how they shaped it and transformed it, is still to this day something to marvel at.
