Every game that I have to watch Carl Freakin' Everett in the OF will be yet another game that i cringe on any flyball hit out there. I'm sorry, but from day 1 that we got Carl, I've been undeniably against him ever seeing the defensive side of the game. The guy just can't read the ball off the bat, and don't even get me started on his throws back to the infield. As for Borchard...we should have gotten what we could for him 2 years ago before any GMs in the league saw what an abysmal swing he had at teh big league level. But, I imagine someone has to play right field. /puke And its painfully obvious that either CLee or Konerko will be wearing a different uniform next year....I'm kind of torn as to which I want to keep. CLee IMO is one of the more undervalued members of this franchise. Konerko sure, he has his offensive capability, and plays a decent first base, but I can't take the slow foot speed anymore, especially if Ozzie wants to regear the direction of the team.

I don't think there should be any surprise that Frank took his option....if he stayed healthy all year, and puts up a .290+ avg with normal Big Hurt doubles/Homers....He gawn. But he didn't so he went for the safety net.

I think CLee is one of those guys people love to bash, until he leaves the Sox. Then I think it will become obvious how much CLee meant to this team. I for one don't want to see him go, but I also have no idea as to what the solution is at this point.

Whatever it takes for me to NOT see Joe Borchard in the '05 White Sox lineup, I'm all for. And I'll admit, I'm WAY out of touch with whats going on in Soxland, but its great to be back!!

Koch is still one of my favorite guys. I only wish things would have gone better for him in a ChiSox uni. I still root for him, and hope that things go better in Florida. Maybe he can knock the Flubs outta the playoffs for us, that would be ample payback for me.

Was exactly what I was tryin to say Critic....Koch got beat on some decent pitches. Ya, the curve wasn't there at all for some reason, but lets not forget that bases loaded in the 8th and the 9th, 0 runs. Thats how you lose games.

Its obvious that sometimes he doesnt, the KC game was horrid as he fired 92 MPH straight missle after the other right down the plate. All I'm saying, is get off Koch's ass people. What f***ing baseball game did you clowns watch today? Because the 1 I saw had us strand 14 f***ING runners on base....it saw Adkins give up a FAT pitch to Mark Kotsay of all people to lose the game....and yet we are harping on the guy that made 2 great pitches, bot resulting in 2 broken bat singles. I don't know how some of you drama queens can hype Damaso Marte for a role that he has had NO success in long term. Don't know how you can lump the problems that Politte has had this year with those of Marte and Koch. Lookin at the game logs, Koch has had exactly 1 s***ty game all year, Marte has had 2, and Politte has had 5....5 games where he pitched less than an inning and gave up 1 or more runs. I'm not worried about Marte, I'm sure as hell not worried about Koch. Politte, on the other hand, is a complete anamoly.

Taken in context, written by Scott Merkin Just to kind of remind folks, Koch has NEVER been a 1-2-3 kind of guy in his career. So when I hear people b**** and whine on game threads about someone getting on, I just kinda smile. The stats from his 2002 season say it all for his effectiveness vs. his ability to 1-2-3 the other team. Just thought it was some good information to pass on.
