That sig is a bit too big there, Crimson...can you please resize? Thanks
  3. First off, welcome you 2 to the boards!!! As for Millwood...I don't see him as being anywhere near worth where he and his agent have valued his services. Being in South Carolina, I got to see Millwood every 5th day and heard all about him all the time. In Atlanta, he was never real consistent at all, and I cant see paying 12-15 mill per season for a guy with the makeup of Kevin Millwood. As for Ponson, I'm still a little concerned about us getting him, but I also know that we need someone, and he fits the bill at around $6 mil per. It all starts with moving some of Konerko/Valentin/Koch/Maggs.
  4. I'm gonna just assume that was supposed to be in green, greg775.
  5. Source toasty? I haven't gotten around to checking news sites yet tonight.
  6. Hell, I've been around for not alot of time....I think I was nominated for something...I dunno...but I'm not bothered by it one way or the other. Settle down, Beavises. EVERYONES posts on here are enjoyed by myself, well now that Roman is gone they are. Envy over popularity was supposed to end after High School, it'll all be ok!! And to Steff and others concerning the "chauvanistic" thread, I agree. No one makes you look at that stuff if it bothers you. Whether or not you like it, 99% of us guys like to see females scantily clad, plain and simple.

The Capn also goes by Tommy to some.
  8. 8/10 on the first one 12/15 on the second one....hmmm
  9. People continue to discredit the things KW does, without failing to realize what a piss-poor ownership he is having to work with. You can't go and sign Vlad, Tejada, etc, etc when you are the Gm of a Jerry Reinsdorf owned team. I think KW, ever since the Ritchie/Kip debachle has done a damn fine job in keeping this team semi-competitive with the restrictions he is given.
  10. I'mstill baffled by this thought every day. Not sure why its an automatic write off for Koch because of a bad 2003. Go back and look at his numbers in ST 2003. In the "thin pitching air" in Arizona, he was still dominant. Yes, he sucked during the regular season of 2003, but you know what? That doesnt mean I wanna ship him off in exchange for some other teams high salary problem. Koch still has the ability to rebound more than say, Roger Cedeno.
  11. Very good question. Honestly, if Stewart were stealing 30-40 bases, and puttin those numbers up, I'd pay 6 mill for him per year. But the thing isn't money, its the priorities that Minny sets for themselves. They have always likened themselves as an organization who will almost always promote from within and depend on the Farm clubs for talent rather than pay a FA money. Then that train of business thought goes up in smoke, even though one of their own products is there to play the position.
  12. With the reported 65 million on the table for Vlad, the 72 million given to Tejada, and the 18 million for Javy Lopez or 21 million for IRod.....at some point, the well dries up. And we can hope that means Ponson may have to look to the Windy City.
  13. OK aboz...edit your post!!! I can't have that shoddy stat posting quoted in its ugly form!!! I agree wil them keeping A.J. over Doug M......but hey, good for us!!
  14. You got it, ABoz. here are Stewarts stats career-wise: SEASON TEAM G AB R H 2B 3B HR RBI TB BB SO SB CS OBP SLG AVG 1995 Toronto Blue Jays 12 38 2 8 0 0 0 1 8 5 5 2 0 .318 .211 .211 1996 Toronto Blue Jays 7 17 2 3 1 0 0 2 4 1 4 1 0 .222 .235 .176 1997 Toronto Blue Jays 44 168 25 48 13 7 0 22 75 19 24 10 3 .368 .446 .286 1998 Toronto Blue Jays 144 516 90 144 29 3 12 55 215 67 77 51 18 .377 .417 .279 1999 Toronto Blue Jays 145 608 102 185 28 2 11 67 250 59 83 37 14 .371 .411 .304 2000 Toronto Blue Jays 136 583 107 186 43 5 21 69 302 37 79 20 5 .363 .518 .319 2001 Toronto Blue Jays 155 640 103 202 44 7 12 60 296 46 72 27 10 .371 .463 .316 2002 Toronto Blue Jays 141 577 103 175 38 6 10 45 255 54 60 14 2 .371 .442 .303 2003 Minnesota Twins 65 270 43 87 22 0 6 38 127 25 36 3 4 .384 .470 .322 2003 Toronto Blue Jays 71 303 47 89 22 2 7 35 136 27 30 1 2 .347 .449 .294 I just don't see why you give him 6 mill per, when you let guys like Pierzinski walk. And please realize, it takes me a good 10 minutes to get those stat posts lined up the way I want them!!! I'm a perfectionalist, sorry!
  15. Cali, I'm there with ya. I haven't seen any of these movies either....just not interested in it. I'd rather go see a new gory horror movie anyday than see 'em but hell, thats just my personal preference.
  16. Hehe...BEGood...I need Cliffs Notes on typing myself. I use the backspace button more than any button on a keyboard. And the word 'THE" almost always shows up as "TEH" when I type....bad finger placement I guess.
  17. Cheat, you'd be proud to know that I still have Journey the game on an emulator on my laptop. What a dumb game, yet I'm cataclysmically drwan to keep playing that..../shudder
  18. My cut and paste URL is gettin lots of action on your posts, BEGood....
  19. Well, its true. The signing of Shannon Stewart by Minny...a team that is largely considered to have the biggest cash-monger owner in baseball, just makes NO sense. You spend al lthe time to develop your talent in the minors, because you aren't a big market team, then you let them leave so that you can sign a guy in Stewart who only played 2-3 months for you, and has NEVER been real solid in terms of arm strength or power. Makes no sense, but thats fine by me being a Sox fan.
  20. Ah yes....Head....wow...talk about completely setting your career back 5 years. It probably seemed like a GREAT idea at the time, a way to poke fun at the way their musical career started as actors. Wow, were they wrong. Uniquely artistic, but NOT very gratuitous to their careers. My favorite Monkees songs are probably "Goin' Down" , "I'll Be Back Upon My Feet" and "The Door Into Summer" I'll admit it, I enjoy listening to the Monkees even now.

    Guess who's back

You gonna see this alot BeGood.....
  22. Yay!!!! Another thing for my wonderful home state to be proud of!!!
  23. Quite Simply....... YES [/size]
  24. MonkEEs...FSJ....hey, I still like listening to them, once they staretd writing and playing their own music. And yeah, thats one of those Did You Know questions I always ask people.
