  1. Mateusz Juice?? Thats kinda scary.....maybe cuz I dunno what it means. BTW, Jas, what happened to the good huh smiley face, with his arms in the air? That was my favorite
  2. Pippen was never more than a Role player in the perfect system for him. For some reason, people started to believe that he was a great ball player. Funny, I'm still waiting to see that from him

    WEIRD thing you do

--One weird thing I do is check my pockets upon leaving teh house for my car keys. I check like 3 or 4 times. Borderline OCD. --Also, I NEVER let my car get below 1/4 tank of gas, I have a LARGE fear of running out of gas. --I tend to Curse ALOT at other drivers here in SC, cuz NO ONE here can drive worth a damn. Heather made me feel a bit more at home in Chi-town --I also obviously have a VERY hard time typing the word "THE"....as it often comes out as "TEH" for me. Hey, I never took typing classes.

    WEIRD thing you do

Dam Jas, you are fast!!! I was workin on merging the 2, and when i got ready to, it was already deleted!! I shoulda known you were quick on the draw.
  6. Er, sorry YASNY, by moving him, I meant we shouldnt move him to another team, not to another position. Sorry, guess my word choice was a bit vague.
  7. As long as it doesnt entail a trade of CLee somewhere, I have no beefs with that. I just don't see how you can move a 27-28 year old OFer who is just coming into his own.
  8. Sounds good in theory, but don't see it happening. As was pointed out to me in the past, baseball contracts are guaranteed. The one thing that creates alot of parity in the NFL, where a pretty Hard Salary Cap exists, is that veterans can be cut, like Lawyer Malloy, without signifigant Cap damage. Baseball will still have guys that, if you had a salary cap, would be even HARDER to trade away. Lets say you sign your Fan-Favorite right fielder to a 3 yr, 30 million deal. Well, if said player has a bad season, a la Konerko or Koch, NO CHANCE IN HELL that you can move him in the Off-Season, like the Sox are currently discussion. With the talks of a Salary Cap will come screams from the MLBPA about Collusion, and in all honesty they will have a point. The owners will have a severe upperhand in negotiations at that point, because all will fear getting burned on that one big contract they give out, and players salaries will be controlled by the MLB owners. Should the salaries be held in check by the owners? Of course, but thats another argument. Its hard to win any kind of injunction against the strongest union in the US. If all else fails, just blame Curt Flood for all this mess!!
  9. With that move, YASNY, where does AaRow fit in? If he ever deserves his shot, its this year. He has been biding his time, and IMO deserves a shot. Maggs being traded could still give him a shot if the Angels did that trade.
  10. Yeah, I'm good friends with a Poly Sci B.S. owner. Graduated a few years back. Um, he's a Kitchen Manager at an Outback Steakhouse!!! Those Poly Science Degrees are worth more than gold!!
  11. Um, I say Pat O'Buck wins the Dumbass Award O' the Day. She was concerned that they may be counterfeit, buys them anyway, THEN tries to get the man in trouble for selling counterfeit toys. Holy hell, whats your address Pat O'Buck, I'll send you $5 so you can buy a f***ing clue!!
  12. Well if heartless play upsets Odalis, he may wanna think twice about playing in Comiskey---ERRRRR----U.S. Cellular Field. Heartless play is contagious here!!!
  13. TGoWT. you need an image host...like Fotki or something. Then you can upload the images to a server, and get a URL for where they are located.

    Honey

Yes, the movie will be worse than awful, probably win a Raspberry Award, be featured on RottenTomatoes.com, and hurt Alba's career a bit. With all that said, I'll still marry her
  15. Interesting. A second or third cather that can fill in and play first, second or third if needed screams versatility. Lets see what Hankins can do in Arizona in March. He could compete for that always valuable 25th roster spot.
  16. If I can give LA Konerko and 2.5 mill for Odalis Perez, I am calling the press conference tomorrow. There is no way you can't make that move. A 26 year old left handed starting pitcher is something to build around. If we had Buehrle, Perez, Loaiza, Garland, and anyone else, I like it. Now, with that being said, no way in hell do I give them CLee right now, not after he finally produced like he is capable of producing.
  17. You'd rather move CLee than Maggs, Jas? I dunno. CLee is cheaper, IMO has more upside in terms of power, obviously can be a good runner on the bases, has really solidified his defense, and is younger. Maggs after 2004 is gonna walk anyways, looking for the big payday, and we certainly won't be the team to give it to him.
  18. We'd be on the hook for Cedeno in 2005 also, and I don't think we will need him in 2004, much less 2005.
  19. Gload is just straight mashing the ball right now. If we can trade Slownerko this Off-season, at least let Gload have his shot in ST. Its a long shot, but he at least deserves the opportunity to play in ST. AaRow, OTOH, I'm gonna assume that you all were being sarcastic about him, and leave it at that. He is due a shot at the everyday job, and shall get it in Arizona
  20. Why, oh why do alot of you all wanna trade Koch for Roger FREAKIN Cedeno?!? Koch has had one bad year. Has Roger Cedeno had more than one GOOD one? And for the cost of $4 mill more?? WTF? i don't understand. I see back-to-back subpar years, a career OBP of .343, only 9 points better than the once never-taking a walk Carlos Lee. I'm sorry, I just don't see this move being a positive for the team.
  21. Think its been posted somewhere in this long-ass thread, but worth a repost anyways

    Gran Turismo 4

Are you serious?? That first pic is an actual screenshot? Jeezus...I thought it was just a photo someone took with their digital camera.
  23. Is that good or bad, I don't know. I agree though, and have long been a motivating force behind trading Maggs now before we start the final year that we will have him anyway. Face it, if he expects a 4yr/60 mill contract, see ya. NO WAY IN HELL do I want to see Roger Cedeno in a Sox uni next year, and really no reason to trade CLee while we still control some of his FA abilities. I'd take a Konerko-for-Odalis Perez deal if Perez' contract isn't TOO bad. Thats a lefty for the Rotation. If they could then get Ponson, I'd LOVE Buehrle, Loaiza, Ponson, Garland, Perez
