I read something that claimed the Red Sox were actually thinking about making Jose Abreu a third basemen if they signed him. It kind of makes you wonder with the ability he has shown at first base, and the transformation of his body, they expect him to drop 15 more pounds by next season, if the White Sox might think never say never to something similar. I would doubt it. Why tinker with what is working, and his chronic foot issues probably wouldn't be aided.

If there are 2 outs and the bases aren't full, I think I would have them walk Abreu even if it puts another runner is scoring position.
