  1. Its too early to panic. People are used to bad offense so its reasonable to think it will continue. Last seaon the Sox scored 56 runs through 8 games and have the exact same record. We know how the rest of the season went. Just think what the different threads would be like if they had 56 so far this year.
  2. How come the new hitting coach isn't getting any grief? In previous years, it was all the old hitting coach's fault.
  3. The red uniforms look awesome. They are just missing the white button on top the cap. The zipper would be nice, but that's OK without. Dunn shouldn't be hitting 3rd.
  4. QUOTE (Soxfest @ Apr 13, 2012 -> 02:54 PM) 3rd base coach gambles paying off so far 3-0 SOX. He's had a couple of it if works out he's a genius if it doesn't he's a fool moments already this year and its worked out.
  5. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Apr 13, 2012 -> 02:53 PM) PK dunks in an RBI single, 2-0 SOX! Where will they put his statue?
  6. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Apr 13, 2012 -> 02:30 PM) Well, who would have thought Jake Peavy would have a 2.45 ERA after 11 innings pitched against TEX and DET to start the season? Unfortunately, our offense sucks. Fire Greg Walker
  7. After seeing video of the batters box controversy, I don't know what's harder to believe. A major league grounds crew doing such a hatchet job, or the first two hitters not noticing.
  8. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Apr 12, 2012 -> 08:18 AM) There is no way Kenny did it on purpose, but at the same time, I would bet the Stanford boy got a smirk out of the deal. He's pretty much a non prospect organization filler. I think it is a dig and its a lot funnier than anything out of Ozzie's mouth in a while.
  9. Speaking of the Marlins, Logan Morrison makes Dayan Viciedo look at worst average as a LF. He's not too handy with the leather.
  10. QUOTE (buckweaver @ Apr 11, 2012 -> 04:39 PM) Castro acquired by White Sox Kenny is arrogant...but you have to love his celebration of Castro Day with this acquisition. It has to be. It can't be just a coincidence on the very same day.......I'm not a KW man but I think its brilliant.
  11. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Apr 11, 2012 -> 02:05 PM) We don't have a scheduled offday forever. Saving Matty for a day makes some sense. Isn't tomorrow on off day ?
  12. QUOTE (Harry Chappas @ Apr 11, 2012 -> 01:24 PM) For his career he has pitched 923.2 innings and started all 151 games he has appeared in for an average of 6.11 innings per start what was is ridiculous about this. Over the last three years that has improved but that is what it is for his career. What's ridiculous about it is you said he can't go more than 6 innings. You said that today, not in 2007. You're just wrong.
  13. QUOTE (Harry Chappas @ Apr 11, 2012 -> 01:02 PM) Sorry he can no go longer than 6.1139 innings per start. For his career on average three times a year he goes 7 innings, my bad. I like him and am glad they signed him and he has gotten better over the years, is consistent and stays healthy and was a good resign. In 2009 he went at least 7 innings 12 times. In 2010 he went at least 7 innings 18 times. In 2011 he went at least 7 innings 11 times. Facts are killing your ridiculous posts.
  14. QUOTE (Harry Chappas @ Apr 11, 2012 -> 12:52 PM) f*** JUAN PIERRE and guillen for thinkign that he was essential to winning, what an asshat. Also John Danks is a solid MLB pitcher who can not go longer than 6 innings and his worth his money and I am glad the Sox resigned him. He can't go longer than 6 innings, yet he averages over 6 innings a start for his career. Nice try.
  15. QUOTE (Reddy @ Apr 11, 2012 -> 12:49 PM) NO. That's what you're missing. I'm saying Humbers FULL SEASON was fantastic. yeah he wasn't great after the allstar break - but last year if you were to tell me that Humber would have a sub-4 era, I'd have been ecstatic. Why are you so unimpressed? He hit a wall and was horrible, but after he rested a while, he was back to his first half self. Will it continue............that's the question.
  16. QUOTE (Noonskadoodle @ Apr 11, 2012 -> 12:46 PM) Oh I could've swore it was. Haha oh well All those Houston relievers seemed like the same guy, but I'll always remember Chad Qualls' first pitch that night.
  17. QUOTE (docsox24 @ Apr 11, 2012 -> 12:46 PM) ha, sounds about right, though i may prefer McCarthy at this point And that's just the AL. He's not an elite ace, at least not now, but he may be, and I'm glad the Sox kept him.
  18. QUOTE (Noonskadoodle @ Apr 11, 2012 -> 12:43 PM) Was Dan Wheeler the guy Paulie hit that grand slam off of in the 2005 world series? No
  19. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Apr 10, 2012 -> 11:30 AM) Bob Nightengale ‏ @BNightengale Commissioner Bud Selig says #MLB supports Guillen suspension: "Mr. Guillen’s remarks ....have no place in our game." #MLB Ken Rosenthal ‏ @Ken_Rosenthal Selig just issued statement supporting #Marlins' decision to suspend Guillen. This was a club matter more than an #MLB matter. Bud was pretty cordial with Castro when the Orioles went to Cuba. He wouldn't look so good throwing the book at Ozzie.
  20. Ozzie did use the Spanish/English lost in the translation Sammy Sosa excuse for his comments. Too bad no one had his 2008 interview with Telander where he said the same thing handy to show him.
  21. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Apr 10, 2012 -> 10:34 AM) Frank Thomas ‏ @TheBigHurt_35 After spending years of my life with Ozzie Guillen I can honestly say he has never been this apologetic. I know he is really hurting inside for what he said. If you really know him this was not his intentions at all. He's hurting because he's finally being made the fool he is.
