They play calling at the end is what killed the Bears. On Mitch’s fumble, Trubisky is not a good pocket passer. If you had to throw there, and I don’t know why you just don’t run, why not call a play with him rolling out, something he is better at? He has never been very good in the pocket. The linemen suck and Mitch has never been good at feeling a rush. I think the defensive problems have a lot to do with a Goldman not playing, and I think Mack is playing hurt. He is on the injury report every week.

Joc Pederson: How long will he be a future White Sox?

The Dodgers also did not want 2 of the 3 AL Cy Young finalists this year. -

Dodgers sign Bauer (3/102, opt-outs, 40-45-17)
Dick Allen replied to Jose Abreu's topic in The Diamond Club
I agree. Expecting Katz to make these guys reliable immediately wouldn’t be fair. Last they played, the team had 2 starters they deemed reliable. You have to expect Keuchel to regress a bit as well. -
If the Sox had signed Machado, Moncada would probably be a RF right now. But I do agree, if the Phillies want to give Harper away, the White Sox line up would be historically great.

Len Kasper is new White Sox radio play by play announcer
Dick Allen replied to ChiSoxFanMike's topic in Pale Hose Talk
One reason Cubs fans are so upset is because he is going to the White Sox. They wouldn't be half as upset if he was going to the Padres. -

Bill Walton is great in small doses, especially when he is just being Bill Walton and not the cartoon version of himself. -

That's a fair point. I would imagine if some are not yet, me being one, listening to a lot of podcasts, you probably will be in a couple of years. I just can't get over a guy going from the Cubs TV booth to the White Sox radio booth, and all to hopefully call a WS some day? There is something fishy here IMO. Did he apply for the job? How did they know he could be had and the Cubs would let him go? Did the Cubs tell him he was out so he took this job? It just doesn't seem to me this happened like they want you to believe it happened. In the end it doesn't matter but I woul be curious to know. -

I am pretty sure the Sox don't pay their radio guys. ESPN does. So I hope Merkin is wrong. OTOH, to get the Cubs TV PBP guy to come be your radio guy isa bit ofa coup especially not even one year after their new network that was going to make them trillions, started broadcasting. -

It's a radio announcer. Unless you are a truck driver, the minot league invites to spring training is bigger news. -
La Russa arrested for DUI in Feb; charged day before hire
Dick Allen replied to Baron's topic in Pale Hose Talk
That’s a bad take. If your neighbor got looped and decided to go out in the back yard and just shoot his gun off, would you be OK with that as long as no one was hurt? A car is a weapon when you are drunk. He already was arrested for this offense previously and Mr. Sincere Legitimacy told us it would never happen again. And it did. And when it did, he thought his HOF ring was a get out of jail free card. He has shown his true colors. -

Yeah, that is scary. I think I have listened to less than 2 games total on the radio the last 5 years. Only when I am driving some place and the game is on. So this doesn’t really do much for me. -

Chances are he took a pay cut. Radio doesn’t generate anywhere near the revenue of TV. It could be as simple as he wanted to do radio and a possible WS at some time or maybe there were issues. The ties were ridiculous. -
The real Cohen doesn’t appear to be signing Realmuto.

Kyle Schwarber signs with Nationals: 1 year 10mil
Dick Allen replied to Buehrle>Wood's topic in Pale Hose Talk
If KW read Schwarbers goodbye tweet to Cubs fans, he may offer Kyle more than his arb number. In it he said he loved to grind with his teammates. He’s a grinder. -
The other thing with people freaking out McCann won’t be there for Giolito, there is a simple solution. Have Giolito call the game and have him give Grandal the signs. Problem solved.
-
Exactly. It’s not worth gambling an injury or a bad year. Make your money, you earned it the last 2 seasons, the White Sox need to move on and get a back up for Grandal. Maybe it’s Collins, maybe it’s someone else.
-
I think other than not using him vs, Berrios I believe, I think he is the one McCann kills and Ricky had him riding pine a couple of times, he used him masterfully. This is a guy a lot of Soxtalk were irate the Sox signed in the first place thinking he was no Kevan Smith. And I agree, I think over exposure may hurt his numbers a bit. But he has earned a shot at a regular job. Hope for him it goes well he seems like a good guy.

Maybe it’s Collins, maybe it’s someone else. if I am Hahn, I am asking my scouts who is the best framer, thrower and game caller of the back up type free agents, and that combo is who I am going after. Framer and thrower might be more important as I think LaRussa likes to call pitches unless they have a HOFer baseball person, someone who is legit, like Fisk, behind the plate.

I read where 10% of places generate 80% of cases. They are what we all know. Restaurants, bars, gyms, places of worship. All fit your description.

I was like everyone else, stunned when they dumped Coop. But it was time. You look at Lopez, he's not getting better. I think they were afraid of the same thing happening to Cease, and perhaps Kopech. Of course there were injuries, but Rodon didn't really develop. Giolito got better, but went to outside help, ironically, Coop's replacement. They all said the right things, but it was pretty obivous, a change was needed.
-
Even if the Sox matched it, why would McCann stay when he can be the man? I have a feeling, if the Sox really want him back at some point, they will be able to get the Mets to trade him and send along some money in a couple of years when Grandal is done.

But Trump mentioned their containment. Of course the question could be what could they possibly have done to keep it from going worldwide. The other issue is Trump now blames China for his lack of action. He was soft because he was afraid his trade deal would fall apart for one thing, and who knows what else. He is Mr. Projection and has mentioned many times how Biden is in China's pocket. So I suspect Trump must be.
