  1. Herrera actually started out really well last season. Then he hurt his back, and he couldn't get American Legion players out.
  2. The only thing that will keep Madrigal from setting a sacrifice bunt record this year is the short schedule.
  3. It is amazing how he was able to get ready just as team control was increased a season. But good luck to Nick. Hopefully he will be as successful as some of his fans (me included) think.
  4. If I were a GM, I would give a much more generic answer, and probably wonder why I am being asked a question where everyone knows the answer.
  5. In 2014, in 594 PA Kris Bryant put up an 1,.100 OPS in the minors. He then led the 2015 Cubs in Spring Training HRs before he was sent down for more seasoning. Madrigal has 532 career plate appearances and didn't hit .200 in the spring. There is zero change he would ever win a grievance. But everyone knows why he is where he is. I just hate the lip service provided. There is nothing he is doing now that will make him more prepared than he was last week. Just say he is working on some things, hopefully we see him soon. Not the 'he's really close". Exactly what does he have to do in batting practice for a promotion?
  6. I fully understand the White Sox holding him out 5 games for the year of control, but why must Getz play the "he's close" game. If Kris Bryant didn't win a grievance, Nick Madrigal has no shot. It isn't like what he is doing in Schaumburg is going to make him more MLB ready. It's really to keep as much rust off as possible.
  7. Another 1.43 million jobless claims. Didn't Jared , as he was patting himself on the back, tell us we would really be humming by July?
  8. The craziest thing is the only reason he got tested was because he was going to be traveling with Trump. He would have been waltzing around DC with Covid and no mask.
  9. Vaughn is coming.
  10. If it’s real, McCann isn’t going to settle for being a back up catcher.
  11. Why should EE be playing and Abreu not? Abreu had a big game last night and suddenly he has a 133 OPS +.
  12. Actually, he got paid $1 a month. It was $0.77 after taxes. He didn't cash his paychecks.
  13. Lou Henson. Former Illini basketball coach.
  14. Delmonico would be in Schaumburg if Mazara was healthy, so I don't understand the frustration of him being on the roster. Batting in the middle of the line up, I can see that argument.
  15. The catch the Cleveland CF made to rob Collins, made me think. If Eloy was running toward the wall like that, I am not joking, an ambulance would be on the field.
  16. Apparently Eloy is under league concussion protocol
  17. I don't think it has anything to do with that. Routine flyballs where the corner OF is camped under should be left for him to catch. Eventually it will lead to a drop or injury if they keep letting this go
  18. I know Robert is a great fielder, but that is one he has to let the RF take.
  19. Sandy Leon probably would have to shave 4 times a day to be clean shaven.
  20. So they tell you how this guy strikes hardly anyone out and gets fewer swings and misses than almost anyone, and he strikes out the side. All swinging.
  21. I am surprised bad pitches get hit hard. Don’t they know McCann is catching?
  22. Rodon throwing 91 or 92 is not good.
  23. This is like a split squad line up.
  24. Ozzie, who once had Corky Miller batting 5th, check out his stats on BR, ripping Delmonico batting 4th.
  25. Delmonico batting clean up. Discuss.
