The GOP is moving it’s convention outdoors but kids and teachers and support staff are supposed to sit inside in school all day, every day.

Because of the federal response, which was slow, and then Trump thought it would be a good time to play Celebrity Apprentice-Governors edition, and pitted states against each other to increase prices and screw up the supply chain for PPE to our front lines, and have no federal response, the US is not in position like most other countries to open up, so yes, they probably should be printing more money now and handing it out to people who cannot work right now.

This administration couldn't care less about kids' education with going back to school. After all, these are the people who have turned their backs at science, and have no use for US intelligence, so what good is going to school to them? . It's all about the parents going back to work.

My wife had the TV on this past weekend and I don’t remember if it was fake news CNN or MSDNC, but they interviewed 5 pediatricians from all around the country and asked if they would feel safe sending their child to school this fall. 5 out of 5 said yes. But they all said there had to be social distancing and constant cleaning. Perhaps having gym class outside. One said that child to adult transmission is very rare, so teachers would really have to worry about staying away from other teachers. Another said HS students would probably have to wear masks but the younger students would not. It really surprised me. Of course they also all said things could change quickly.

It's amazing how many people want to make a big deal out of this. It's going to ruin everything.....If you don't have a problem with someone opting out, you really shouldn't have a problem with anyone opting out. If the guy has anxiety, the lockdown could have done a number on him. Judging him by tweets or rumors will make you look like a fool.

He is established. Besides, Farmer died unexpectedly on April 1. Kind of hard to get the kind of "established" guy you are looking for after the season was supposed to start. I think Masur is good. A mandate and actually making people wear them are 2 different things. There has been a mandate in IL for months. A couple of weeks ago, when I went out, I counted how many people wore masks out the the first 20 people I saw. The high for the week was 7. The low was 4. It was pretty steady at around 25%.

Doctors are really worried about long term effects the virus will have on players’ lungs and heart. Apparently even asymptomatic victims have wound up with some organ damage.
