Just to get an idea of JR's weath, ARod, who probably made more money playing baseball than anyone ever, and J-LO, an entertainment mogul, can't come close to buying the Mets. JR has the Sox, worth about as much as the Mets, and the Bulls, according to Forbes, worth almost double that. The move to get rid of Leila came from above. I doubt she was making very much. She supposedly lives in a 650 sq. Ft. apartment. But that station is weird. They eliminated Dan Hayes and the guy who was writing for the Cubs. They both wound up at the Athletic. Then they hire Gordon Wittemayer and Adam Hoge to do the same job.

I like it, especially with 28 man rosters. Not having it would make the games even longer.

I think it's there only choice. Jim Harbaugh can cry how Michigan has zero positives, other than the fact that they are probably due one or two, if they play another school, the amount of faith you put on that other school for what could be a life or death situation, and even if college age people tend not to die, other complications like the heart thing that is out there now, to risk that for a football game, isn't too bright.

He is an opener. This makes a lot of sense especially when teams platoon and you don’t have a starter who can really give you 5 solid innings anyways. This way, you can get them to burn their platoons early. It really makes no difference if he pitches the 1st and 2nd inning vs. the 5th and 6th physically.

We get to hear ARod . He has some weird things going on with his speech. Sometimes it is normal, and sometimes he adds an h on to every word that ends with s. He will say playersh or pitchersh. And then pronounce it like it’s normally pronounced.

If the pitching holds up, this team will be really good. Probably not this year. The are a little short. Giolito, Kuechel, is a good start. Hope Cease and Kopech are close to what we hope. Lopez could go either way, but at the very least, a bullpen piece. Dunning, Steiver, an acquistion as a back end guy. I think the Rodon ship has sailed. They should be really good. But now that you have to send Gio Gonzalez out there every 5th day at this stage of his career, it's not happening this year. Enjoy the development and hope the pitching can stay healthy.

I don’t know why Rongey was considered condescending but Dave Wills and his referring to the same callers Rongey had a problem with as drillrods, was universally loved. I think Rongey got a little cranky when Ginger Zee dumped him.

Still don’t know why they wouldn’t bring someone like Mercedes from Schaumburg even if for only a game. You never know , you might need him tonight.

I would take it as a good sign. I think if Madrigal and EE were obviously out, a line up and roster would be pretty easy to post.

I think Luis Robert , if he stays healthy, will be the greatest player the Sox ever had. He probably develops a better eye, but if he doesn't, he can destroy bad pitches, and doesn't miss many hittable ones. The Big Hurt is a better hitter, and probably always will be, but you take everything else, this guy is unreal.

Does Detwiler have to face 3 here?

With a 30 man roster, there is no excuse leaving him out there to face left handed hitters.
